Every Neopet has to come from somewhere. In the case of Blumaroos, it's Roo Island. Just off the coast of Neopia Central, it's been inhabited by Blumaroos for many years. King Roo is described as "a gentle soul", and the behaviour of Blumaroos is noticeably reflected in the island itself; fun, bright, and loving.
If you've ever looked at the Neopian World map, you notice that there's a fabulous rainbow stretching from Neopia Central to Roo Island. It seems the splash of colours from the rainbow has indeed washed off on the island, and it has such a bright appearance that even the gloomiest Neopet would have such a smile on their face!

King Roo is the, well, the King of Roo Island. He made Dice-A-Roo. The story of Dice-A-Roo is explained in this Neopedia article, but to spare you the trouble, I'll summarise it in a sentence right now:
Dice-A-Roo was created because the King was so bored of all the games on Roo Island. This fun game of chance will keep you entered for hours -- go and play now!

Count Von Roo, quite a sinister character who inhabits a tower in the shape of a coffin here on Roo Island. Like King Roo, he has his own dice game, named Deadly Dice. He's only awake during the Witching hour, so you can play against him if you'd like. Deadly Dice -- try your luck? Neopia article is located here.

We don't know much about Commander Garoo. However, we do know he has a mean temper, foul attitude, and that he ascended through Sloth's ranks super quickly. He's a target for the Defenders of Neopia -- Neopets, beware!

Once again, we don't know much about Uggaroo/Oogaroo, but I can tell you he is one of the opponents in Tyranu Evavu -- quite a difficult game, if you ask me! He speaks native Tyrannian, so naturally we can't understand him all that well.

Archmagus of Roo is part of the NeoQuest I game. He's an ancient wizard who is trapped in a temple, Temple of Roo. Fancy a game of Neoquest I?

Rohane is part of the NeoQuest II game. He's a hero, didn't you know? You play as him for the whole game, taking him far in travels and other exciting things... Why don't you go and play Neoquest II now?

AAA - or Aristotle A. Avinroo - is the self-proclaimed "Master of the Games Room". He's had various challenges that we've been able to complete, and he really is good at those games. He strives to prove that he is the best at Neopia's games.

Chef Bonju -- we also don't know much about him, apart from that he was a Chef on the Cyodrake's Gaze ship. He was also one of the suspects in the Cyodrakes Gaze plot.

Xjordy is quite a different Blumaroo from the rest. Having said that, he's been many a Neopet before he finally decided on being the cheeriest of them all. Kougra, zafara, acara, draik... Nothing seemed to suit his adventerous, happy, and kind nature... Until one day...
Why not a Blumaroo?
And so Blumaroo it was.
Xjordy's stats (he's pretty strong for a Blumaroo, you know!):
Oh! I also forgot to mention xjordy's trusty petpet, Caragh the Halloween Krawk. She accompanies him on all of his adventures. Want to read a couple of stories about the two? Click here!

Amongst the many things to do on Roo Island, there is a sweet little Merry-Go-Round. The ride itself is a hand-painted Uni, and there are several. For just 50 NP a go, surely it's worth the smile your Neopet generates as it calmly seats him or herself on the Uni, and is enchanted by its melody?

If you've ever lived in Roo Island, in those small houses in a place not too far off from the central island, you'll know what a great place it is in which to live. Having lived in Roo Island for a great deal of time, we can safely say there's nothing bad about it at all. Why don't you move there? The more the merrier, as they say. ;)

Roo Island Properties is the place to go and see who else lives in Roo Island. It's a quaint little place and, seeing as not many people live here (it's only 10,000 NP to build on a piece of land!), it's always nice to have a new neighbour. :)
Roo Island Souvenirs: a wonderful place to get your neohome, friend or pet that "little extra something". With a variety of items, you just can't go wrong!

Of course, you've heard a lot about them, but what is a blumaroo exactly? That's simple: a blumaroo is a friendly species, and loves to bounce around. See their tails? I'm sure you understand what it's for! Anyway, the species, Blumaroo, has inhabited Roo Island for many years, hence "Roo" Island.

Q. What can I buy that is relevant to Blumaroos & Roo Island?
