Alcyone is the third brother in his family, a trio of uni stallions who participate in a strange form of training in which you use hooves instead of battledome items, and train the mind as well as the body. the three of them had always been granted incredible skill at these tactics; together, they rose through the ranks. Well, Alcyone and Sephyyr did - Aeryth met up with them about a year ago. But they found themselves holding the highest positions in the school, and were granted the titles and brands of a bird each - Sephyyr was the noble Eagle, Aeryth was the agile Falcon, and Alcyone was the secretive Raven.

However, it was in his third year that Alcyone developed a case of depression the likes of which he had never experienced before. It nearly drove him over the edge - in more ways than one - and he could not understand the jovial merriness of Sephyyr, his oldest brother. So he ran away. And that was the last that was heard of Alcyone for awhile - in fact, all he did was wander, as a drifter, as his depression slowly ebbed away into a detached pensiveness.

It was when he realized that he could no longer survive alone that Alcyone made his way home. By then, much had happened; they had rediscovered Aeryth and the friends that he had been staying with, and Spirit, Alcyone and Seph's owner, had adopted Rikari, a little uni mare. Everyone welcomed Cyone back with open arms. Despite his headstrong nature, he befriended many of Seph's new friends. At first, he was very mistrustful of their new friend Rikari.

That changed, though. Kari listened to Cyone, and it was he that she first revealed her special ability to. Cyone believed he was out of the water. He was wrong.

His old feelings of resent for his older brother, Sephyyr, came flooding back. And Seph wasn't helping - he was very concerned about Cyone, and was constantly watching out for him. It was in his nature to be caring, but it bothered Cyone to no end. He would try to give Cyone advice, but his younger brother simply would not listen. Cy got into more troubled disobeying Seph than he ever would've on his own accord, and, soon, Spirit found out, and stepped in. She said that if he didn't straighten out and behave, she might consider putting him up for adoption.

He didn't change, but Kari was the only one who knew this. Cyone is what he is, and too many people have tried to change him. In his mind, it was too much of a lost cause to bother with, anyway.
