It happened when I was little...I had a pretty good life, Had a nice owner who loved me, had my own little gathow as a petpet, and a fun brother. See? My life was perfect...but all good things come to an end right?-sigh-

It was nighttime and my owner had gone back to her world to sleep when I heard something downstairs. I quietly crept out of bed and down the stairs. I heard the noise again. I sneaked into the kitchen and almost screamed. In the kitchen looking through the drawers was a stranger. A boy who was muttering to himself. I have exalent hearing and heard what he was saying...

Come on...theres got to be something valuble in this house. Don't tell that was all just a waste of time and effort..."

My worst fears were confirmed...He was a hacker. I tried to sneak back out but my nerves were gone and I was in a daze I tripped and he heard me stumble. He turned around and grinned. "Nice kitty kitty. I'm one of your owners friends! And she told me that she wants to give me all of her neopoints and items because she wanted to quit neopets. Can you show me where they are?"

How dumb do you think I am? Get out of here!!" I had screeched.
His grin was replaced with a scowl. Unfortunetly my brother and my petpet was awakened by the noise to and came down to see what was happening. The hacker looked at my Gathow and grinned greedily.

I turned to yell to them to get out of here but the idiot took that opportunity to knock me out with the frying pan he had gotton out of the drawer.

I woke up in a dark ally with my head throbbing. I had no clue where I was. There was nobody around at all. All of the houses around me were abanded and in ruins...I wandered around for a couple of days, starving with no food in sight. When I finally came upon a town I was totally exhausted...and yet no one would give me food for even there it was scarce...I collasped...again...

This time when I woke up I was in a hut. "Oh good your awake!" I heard a voice say. I looked around and saw a gelert standing in the doorway. Turns out he recued me when I fainted and had been taking care of me since. Once my energy was restored he showed me how to survive on my own...how to be a theif...I was...happy...when I was with him I thought I finally had a true friend and had gotten a second chance at life...I was wrong again...

I had spent two years with him when it happened this time...no it wasnt another hacker because we didnt have an owner. No...this was possibly worst. He was bit by a vampire. At first it was ok because his personality didnt change or anything...at first...after awhile he started acting funny. It was as if he couldnt control himself anymore. He started to attack me, threaten me...I was forced to leave...but though I have forgotten his name he will always be my friend...

After that I...went home. I was always afraid of getting hurt again so I never went back there when I was with him. But after he became cursed I had nothing to lose so I located it and started my journey home stealing what I needed to survive. I was uneasy and nevous about going back but I made the trip nevertheless...when I got there I was shocked.

My home was in ruins. I searched the entire house but all I could find a this scarf...

I wondered around for a while till I came across a kau ranch. Hungry I decided to sneak in and um..."borrow" some food. Unfortunantly the owner who was branding the kaus at the time caught me and as a reward tried to brand ME!!!Fortunatly I was able wriggle free but the brander thingy came down on my tail which is why I have those four triangle shaped scars on my tail...it hurt a lot...

I started wondering around again and found myself in the Lost Desert. There were many food stands around and I was hungry. I carefully crept around till I spotted a stand with no owner. I was no longer confident in my abilities after the incident at the ranch and I..eh..skrewed up...After I took some of the food I got over-excited and when I turned around to run I ran smack into the shop owner...a very angry yellow grarrl.

We don't tolerate theives around here you little brat" he growled at me, "now what can we do to make you understand that?"

He started finguring the sword around his waist. My eyes grew wide. "Um...I'm s-sorry sir, it will never happen again!! Can you please just-um-forgive and forget?" I asked scared.

Well what lesson would you learn then?" he narrowed his eyes and quickly grabbed my wrist, twisted it around, and held his sword high ready to come down. I quickly closed my eyes not wanting to see it happen. I heard the whoosh of a sword and suddenly a loud clang. I opened my eyes and saw a blue kougra standing in front of me with her sword blocking the grarrls. "What are you doing here Aqua?" he sneered.

What am I doing? I should be the one asking you!!!" Aqua sneered back, "Since when was it ok to go around threatening pets that are starving?" The grarrl had no responce for this so he sheathed his sword and walked away.

The kougra turned to me. "Are you ok?" she asked as she sheathed her sword.
Y-ya..." I stuttered, "Who are you?
Me? I'm Aqua2961 the Bounty Hunter of the Lost Desert...um...do you need a place to stay for a while or something..?" she asked seeing me eye the food stand again greedily.

Could I really?" I stopped suddenly remembering everthing that had happened to me since that dreadful night with the hacker. "Um...maybe I shouldn't...I don't have the best luck-yaaa!!!" she barely even let me finish. Aqua was already pulling me toward her home.

Oh don't be so superstitious!!! You'll feel a lot better once you actually have a family and a home to stay in!!!" She replied.

And thats where I am today...horrible things still happen to me but they haven't been as bad...so far...*sigh* as for the pet I met at her home their is Lava1692 a red ixi.

Seems like the end huh? Well its not...I wont waste you time though..you have listened to my long horrible tale so I'll cut to the chase...

Last month Aqua and I were accused of murder. Though we excaped from prison using my skills we were terribly confused of what was going on. We searched for weeks and finally caught a glimpse of the strange figure that we saw the night of the murder...Aqua was furious about all this and took off after the murderer relying completely on her Bounty Hunter skills and sences (it was very dark out).

I followed her afraid for safety. Suddenly I saw something out of the corner of my eye. There was an assasin on the roof right above from where Aqua had cornered the other one!!! "Aqua Look OUT!!!" I had screamed. She looked up at me shocked. I never shout. Terror gave me wings as I plowed Aqua out of the way and took the shot myself. I gasped at the arrow sticking out of my back. The assasins fled as Aqua scrambled to her feet and rushed to me.

Teal Hold ON!!! Please dont die!!!" but her cries were in vain...I was already gone. Everything was black then...wait...everything was coming back into focus!!! I opened my eyes and saw that I was...Floating!!! I looked down and saw Aqua weeping over my limp body.

Aqua! I'm alive!!!" I screamed. She looked up shocked. There were tears in her eyes. Something I never saw before.
How..?" she asked, a grin tugging at her lips.
I dont know but I feel...happy" then I did something I hadnt done in three years. I laughed. My baren was gone! I felt light and hopeful about the future. Still sad yes but at the same time...releived. No dieing didnt solve anything I had realized something else. I had died to save Aqua, my sister, I hadnt done anything for anybody in a long time. And it felt good to help.
