Regrets, regrets, regrets. Almost everyone has regretted something they have done in their life. Obviously, I have regretted some things in my life too. I have regretted many things, but there was just one thing that I regretted in my life the most that I know I'll never ever forget.
It was December 2004. Last weekend, my friend, Tiffany, had given me a bunny for free, since her mother wouldn't let her keep it. I named my new bunny Meika. Meika was a rather large and active bunny. She was mostly white and she was also gray on some parts. Although she was a very cute and active bunny, I never really had spent a lot of time with her. Usually, I was always on Neopets talking on the guild boards, talking on the Neoboards and playing some games. One day, I was really bored. It was almost impossible to feel how bored I was. None of my friends were on Neopets yet, so there was no one to talk to. I decided to play with Meika. Quietly and slowly I walked down the stairway, since my parents were sleeping. Finally, I reached Meika's huge cage. There she was hopping around merrily. "Aww. How cute she looks!" I thought in my head while I slowly opened her cage. Carefully, I took her out of her cage. Beginning to pet her, I put her down slowly and observed if her activity would change since she was outside her cage. After a while, I put Meika back into her cage and went into my bathroom and washed my hands. I never realized until then that she was that fun. The next day, I noticed that Meika was slowing down. She was as slow as a grandma trying to cross the road. "She's probably just tired," I thought to myself, as I sat down to eat dinner. Little did I know, she was not okay.
The next morning I awoke to hear the loud ring of the phone. "Hello?" I answered. "Go feed Meika now!" shouted my oldest sister into the phone. My ear hurt because of her scream, but it didn't really matter. I ran down the stairs to find Meika lying on the floor of her cage. I put my hand on her. She was as cold as a rock that had been showered in cold rain. "Oh no. She's dead," I said, in a shaky voice. My eyes became all teary. Teardrops began to fall as I stepped away from her cage. I just couldn't believe she was dead. "But how?" I kept wondering, but I never could find the answer. As depressed as I was, I went up stairs to get ready for school.
Before I went to the bus stop, I found a shoebox and placed Meika in it. I found a good place in my back yard to burry Meika. Beside of what used to be my father's vegetable garden, I dug a hole. Inside the hole, I carefully placed the shoebox, and covered up the hole with the dirt that I had dug out. After that, I went inside and picked up my book bag, and I was on my way to the bus stop. While I was at my bus stop, I was still crying. "What's wrong?" questioned one of my friends. "My bunny died," I replied, still sobbing. Eventually, I did stop crying, and I had to face the fact that she was dead. If only I could make time go back, I would change everything.

This story is based on a real life happening. It has happened to me in real life and I'll never forget it. This story is dedicated to of course Meika and this screenie page is dedicated to her too. What'd you think I put this story up for? To make people feel sorry for me? If I hadn't dedicated my screenie page to Meika this story wouldn't be up. And below is just a picture of my beloved bunny, Meika.
