About The Guild

The Name
Transcendentalists believed in a direct connection with the universe, and though we aren't here to argue with any religious beliefs, the name represents uniqueness in a place where most writer's guilds are self serving and full of people without a hint of technique. Here, we have an asylum, a place for people who want something more than what is typical offered.

The Goals
To create an environment where people feel comfortable sharing excerpts of their work, giving suggestions to others, and arranging to find people willing to read more of their work
To create an environment where we can have literary debates and talk about styles, genres, and other activities happening in the larger writer's community
To create a place where you can respect other people's works and the people invited are ones that show talent, potential, and an open mind

Developments
The guild is just starting out. Over the next few weeks I hope to add new features to the website, all of which I hope the members will contribute to and suggest ideas. Just contact any council person or post a message on the board with your suggestion.
