On April 26th 2007, the entire Neopets site was revamped, with lots of exciting new features, the main one being customisation. However, in order for customisation to work, all of the pets in a species needed to be drawn in exactly the same pose. So on that day, almost every pet in Neopia received a new, more standardized look. Some pets, however, were given an option whether or not to convert, this page lists those pets.
Remember, these pets can no longer be created. If, for example, you make a RoyalGirl Kyrii, it will be in the new pose, you will not get an option to have it in the old style. So any pets you see like these, were created before customisation.

Do you own the Grandfathered Pet Directory?
Yes, I own that, which is why this page and Grandfathered Pets have similar layouts.
Can you still make unconverted pets?
Unfortunately not, any pets created now will be in the new style.
Can you customise unconverted pets?
To an extent; they can wear backgrounds and trinkets but not handheld items, hats, clothes etc.
If I have an unconverted pet and paint it another colour, will it remain unconverted?
No, if you paint an unconverted pet it will no longer be unconverted.
If I pound/transfer my unconverted pet, will it remain unconverted?
Yes, it will not be automatically converted in the pound
