So... you've found my FAQ! Well excellent work, and I hope you enjoy it? Yha, anyway... I decided I needed one because I do get asked questions multiple times, but then I guess this page is also just an "about me.
Quick Story
You have stumbled across an unfamiliar path in Neopia, deep in the forests of Altador. As you walk, the trees become thicker and denser, the light filtering in through the iridescent leaves. You are about to turn back when something catches your eye. A shiver of grass. Whispering leaves. Through the darkness you see a pair of shimmering eyes, bright as moonlight. A Kougra stares at you while the tall grass sways around your feet. A girl comes suddenly into view, her eyes fixed on you. She speaks not a word, but you can read her eyes, "What are you doing here?" She is not angry, only curious. You blink, sure this is a weird dream. When you look again, she is gone. The over-bright eyes of her Kougra remain for a moment, but then are whisked away by a light breeze. You shake your head. Nothing but darkness. Maybe it was just a dream...

So... about me. Well, during the school year, I'm basically a stressed wreck because I do way too many things on top of all my academic work, so I don't really get around to being on Neopets much. I do theater, a cappella, and work on the school website in my "spare" time, and study things like French, Environmental Science, and Art for actual schoolwork. Needless to say, it's only during vacations that I can get back on Neopets and try to update myself on what I missed.
Ok enough about me offline. I don't want any creepy stalkers coming after me. xP
Now we get to the good stuff, eh? Everything about me offline holds true for me online except maybe for the fact that I tend to draw myself with elf ears on the computer. You can call me Kat, that's fine, but occasionally friends and such will call me The Phantress of the Internet. Plus if I'm feeling creative I may sign my neo-mails with that title. ^^
I suppose you might want some basic FAQ about me, eh? Well, here goes.

Why is your username mcgirlcat?
Well, I'm telling you now, it's not a perfect username. I'd rather it would have been something else, but I can't leave it now. See, way back in 6th Grade when I signed up, I couldn't get an activation code. So my dearest friend Megan gave me one of her accounts. It's mcgirlcat because her name is Megan-Claire, she's a girl and she loves cats. -.- It's not the best, I told you. But I love this account, so I'm keeping it. ^^

Can I be your neo-friend?
Nope. Sorry, I have them blocked for a reason. I only do neo-friends with people I know OUTSIDE of Neopets, or that I have talked to forever and know really well. I'm not going to be your neo-friend if I've just chatted with you for a bit. I'm sorry, but my list would be humongous. @.@
How come you aren't responding to my neo-mail? Will you be mad if I neo-mail you again?
Psh. I won't be mad at all. I'm probably just swamped with homework. If I don't mail you back for more than a week, you might want to send again, because I might have been stupid and deleted it. xP

Do you make all of your drawings?
Believe it or not, I get asked this frequently. o.0 Yes, I love to draw, I draw constantly. No piece of paper is safe. xD
Can you draw something for me?
Uh... no. Sorry. I just don't have time. I barely have enough to attempt to update my screenies all the time, and keep up on Neopets. So sorry, but no.
What do you draw with?
Well, I draw with anything and everything, really. Pretty much, I just love to sketch in pencil, but for stuff that I want to look better than a sketch I have some nice artist pens that I go over the sketch with, or I scan it in and use the computer.
For my digital drawings I use The Gimp or Photoshop CS4 and a 6x8 Wacom Tablet.
What's that program you use to draw on the computer?

Ah, Neopets. I can't enough of this site. It all started back in 6th Grade. It was my friend Leah who actually got me hooked. She showed this site to us one day, and it just took off. I've been on Neopets for years now, and I have no plan of leaving. I generally don't get to go on very much during the school year, but sometimes I can sneak in if by some miracle I get my homework done early. ^^

Comic FAQ
My comics is the main reason I get neo-mail. They're not even that good, but I'm working on them. xP
What do you draw your comics with?
I draw them with pencil, then pen, then water-color pencil. Then I scan them in and add the text. It quite simple, really.
What program do you use to draw/add text?
Ok, I'm betting anyone who reads this isn't going to have ever heard of this program. It's called "The Gimp." Pretty much, "The Gimp" is a free Adobe Photoshop. And it's just as good. I believe it's rising in popularity, as I recently saw an article in the paper about it. If you're thinking about getting a drawing/editing program on your computer, I highly recommend this. It's wonderful, I love it.
How do you think of your ideas for your comics?
Hmm. That's a toughie. Alright, pretty much I just think of a subject (Neopets related of course) that could potentially have something funny woven into it. It could be anything. Then, I try to think of a funny situation or irony that could be used. Yup. That's pretty much it...

Screenie FAQ
A lot of people enjoy looking at silly, random screenies, after a long day to get a good laugh so that's exactly what my screenies are there for!
What program do you use to draw and edit your screenies?
As always- Gimp!
(I use a program very similar to Adobe Photoshop 7. The only difference? It doesn't cost 600$. It's an open source program meaning it's free. I'm serious. And it does everything Photoshop will do. It's called The Gimp and you can look it up on Google and go to their official website if you're interested.)
How do you draw your screenies?
I should probably make a tutorial- but you'll just have to read it here for now, because I'm a major procrastinator. xD
I capture a funny screenshot or event with KSnapshot, a screenshot program. I then take this into Gimp, and erase anything I don't want in the screenie. Then I create a new balnk layer and sketch the characters on it. I turn the opacity down on this layer so it's very faint and draw the final lines over it in another blank layer. (I don't need the sketch layer anymore.) Then under the outlines (but above the background screenie) I create another blank layer which I use to colour my drawings. I then add text, save it as a jpg file, upload it and voila! Instant screenie!
What site do you use to upload your screenies?
I go through roadrunner to upload my screenies.
Can I be in a screenie?
I'm sorry but I don't put people in my screenies just to be in them, and no, you will not be in them if you neomail me saying something weird either. They're usually not very funny, and other people don't really care about screenies of neomails saying "cheese" all over your screenie page. So sorry, but no.
