Tisia's First Journey: The Search For Her Mother
Chapter 1:
I was the runt the litter. I haven't grown much since I was born, and am not expected to. My sister Riviece is five minutes younger than me, and a whole lot bigger. But being the smallest, Cam forgets how old I am and lets me get away with a lot.
I never really had a family. Well sure, I've got a sister named Riviece, but I never really had someone to call "mother". The name just rolls off my tongue and I feel nothing. I wished to feel draped in love when I said it.
So one day I felt like going on a journey to find my mom. I packed a little sack which I slung over my shoulder, and skipped off onto a dirt path I had never followed before (which was surprising since I've explored almost everywhere in Neopia).
The dirt path eventually led into a grove of trees, where it was very dark although the sun was high in the sky. Being a very curious kougra, I looked around a bit to see if I could find anything interesting. To my disapointment, I did not.
I soon came to a little pond in the middle of the woods. The sun shone brightly on the water and it was quite a shock to my eyes which had gotton so used to the dark of the trees. The water looked so perfect to swim in, so put down my sack and jumped in. I splashed around for a while, until I felt something brush by my paw. I dove underwater to see what it was and I saw a little koi looking curiously at me. I grabbed it by the tail and stuck my head above water with it in my paw.
The koi didn't look the least bit frightened and it even started to speak to me.
You look familiar, although I have never seen you before. Your face reminds me of a brave kougress who rescued me. Are you searching for someone?"
Yes. I'm looking for my mother," I told the koi.
I think I've seen her." the little koi said. "She rescued me from a fisherman. I grant wishes so to thank her I said she could wish for anything she wanted."
What did she wish for?" I asked the koi.
She couldn't speak. The fisherman had apparently muted her. So instead I gave her a necklace that she could use to make her wish at anytime. But first she must kiss a vampire to get her voice back," the koi told me.
I mad a face before saying, "Do you know where she went?"
I'm not sure. I think she's looking for someone, a vampire maybe,"
Oh," I said, disapointed.
My name's Lourraine by the way," said the koi.
I'm BCK,"
Is that short for something?"
Babycutiekougra307," I muttered(I hate my name><).
Well, I could tell you the direction I saw your mother take,"
That would help,"
She went through those bushes over there..." Lourraine said.
Thanks," I said and smiled at my new friend.
Wouldn't you like to make a wish?" she asked.
Okay."
I wished for someone to guide me on my journey, and out of nowhere, a little white ona appeared. This ona seemed to be very different though. Instead of looking at me sweetly, I could see a look of mischief in those big blue eyes. That happens to be alot like me:)
So I picked up my sack and my new ona after saying goodbye to my new friend. When the koi was out of sight, the ona struggled to get out of my arms, and flew high above me in the sky. I did't know what to name her then, or if she'd let me name her.
Chapter 2:
It soon got dark out and me and my new petpet decided to stop and rest for the night. I'll admit it, I don't like being in the dark and so far away from home, so I stayed awake most of the night looking up at the moon and the stars. This was comforting because it reminded me of Riviece's fur. It almost made me feel at home.
As soon as the sun came up, my ona pulled my tail and gave me an unpleasant awakening. After I ate a few cookies from my sack, we were back on our journey with no idea where we were going.
We seemed to be in a grassy field, far away from anything I knew. There was silence all around us which I thought was boring.
All of the sudden, my ona grabbed me by the shoulders. She flapped her strangly large wings and lifted us both off the ground. It was an awesome feeling, and I wished that I had wings like her.
Eventually we flew far away from the field and I finally saw something other than grass. I saw the edge of the Island and then nothing but ocean. "We must be leaving Mystery Island," I thought.
We journeyed across the sea for what seemed like miles, meeting a group of flotsams. I befriended one of them named Selessea, who also taught me the "call of the sea" so I could ask for her help or some other sea creatures whenever I needed to. Selessea also took me to the shore of a desert she called the Lost Desert.
From there we journeyed until we ran into the dark trees of the Haunted Woods where if not for my the stars on my ona's head lighting up and leading the way, we would have been lost.
After that, we ended up climbing Terror Mountain in the unbearable cold. Climbing Terror Mountain was a tough and scary climb, but I knew I could do it because I climbed trees all the time.
We reached the top exhasted and cold when a blizzard started. Me and my ona snuggled together in the snow and I lost conciousness. Next thing I knew, I woke up in a strange cave under a warm blanket as a unfamiliar tonu stared down at me.
You seemed to be freezing out there," the tonu stated. "Who are you?"
What kind of strange question is that?" I thought to myself. "I should be asking that. This creature must be crazy."
You think I'm crazy?" the tonu asked me.
This only proved that she was bizarre.
Excuse her strange behavior," a voice said that seemed to be coming from under the tonu. Then a kookith stepped out from under her and added, "She really is weird, and she's not doing anything to try to hide it. I'll clear this up, her name is Sango, she can read people's minds, and she rescued you last night from the blizzard. I'm Dunkamit, her personal slave
I stared at the tonu named Sango and whispered a thank you.
I then told them who I was and that I was searching for my mom. They said they would help me look for her.
Turns out Sango knew about my mom because a purple kougra actually came to her cave for a place to rest. She had read her mind out of curiousity and found thoughts and dreams of hers. Sango knew me before she even met me. Sango even knew where my mom went and most likely was.
She said my mom was now trying to find my father, and she could take me there. For a crazy tonu, Sango sure knew alot.
So Sango guided me and my ona to where I could find my father where sure enough I found my mother at last.
I looked into her face and I saw her just as how I imagined she looked. This was the same mother I had dreamed about, only she was really there. She recognized me immeadiately, and we hugged each other and cried. Then I saw my father. He had red eyes and had a green and tan colored coat. I was not really searching for him, but I found him all the same.
I had my whole family at last.... only, Riviece was not there, so I brought my mother to my home with Camie_frenchie and we were united with Riviece. After my mom kissed my father (gross I know), she got her voice back and made her wish. She wished for me and Riviece to be happy and content for the rest of our lives no matter what happened.
Then I decided to name my ona. I though I would call her Mischie because of the look in her eye that meant trouble.
That's the story of my family and my first journey.
