- Aurei (Quad) -

It was a warm, sunny day. The sky was a pure blue color, and had no clouds dotting it. The Autumn colored secenry was soft to the eye. Crisp Fallen leaves, which dotted the brown grass, crunched loudly as you and a rather large group of people made your way through the forest. You were on one of those stupid Feild trips which were meant to be fun, but really weren't.

CRACK.

A branch made a rather large sound from somewhere behind you, causing you to look around quite frantically and stop walking. Everyone else, you completly oblivious to them, continued walking,as they had only stopped for a second. However, you had seen something move, though you could not see that something. You blinked several times, a poor attempt to clear your vision as you had been staring.

Was that a Squirrel? You wandered, seeing something the same brown as the tree it was climbing up come into view, then quickly dissapear into the leaves.

You ran over to the tree and looked up. You laughed softly. The thing you had seen was a shoyru. A brown shoyru who was now tending to what looked like a broken arm. She had her back to you, a rather odd back the slender female had. Instead of the bat-like wings normally seen on shoyru, this figure had two what looked like enlargened maple leaves attached to her back. They were a rusty orange color, and were tanslucent. The figures amber eyes were set on her arm.

Um. Hi? I'm farrah." You said, poking her tail, which was dangling under the tree.

The shoyru looked around rather quickly, startiling you slightly. "Salutations. I'm Aurei." She said in a cheery and soft voice, which was slightly tight as the pain from her arm was quite bad. "Please excuse my... condition." She told you, reffering ot the arm which she was wrapping in a white bandaging. "... Stupid branch." She muttered, jumping off of the tree.

Wait... Were you watching me?" You asked her.

Her face flushed and she nodded, looking at the grass. "Sorry. Um... You notice that your buddies are gone?" She asked, looking up the path.

Crap." You replied, having forgotten about them.

That's okay. I know this forest like the back of my hand." She smiled. "We can catch up."

Thanks." You said in a choked voice, quite grateful that you weren't going to be stuck in this forest for the rest of your life.

She began walking, sliently. You thought a minute, careful not to stray away from her again. "Hey... Um. Could I hear about you? I mean... Since it is something to do seeing as we've probably got alot of time.

She laughed. "Yes. I will share some of my life with you... As we walk."

So she began to tell you.

She was elusive. She was the shadow of a fluttering elf owl, and the falling of a maple leaf. She was the scent of a cactus flower, and the hint of rain. She was different, and when we attempted to put a pin through her and attach her forever on the same page as us, the pin went through her and she merely flew away.

-From the book "Star Girl". I thought it related to Aurei well, so I used it.

Ally: Ally, as you probably know, is what you might call my 'owner.' She treats me more like friend than a pet though. She is a wonderful owner and I luff her.

Madi: Madi is British, and was adopted into this family, immediately accepted even though she also has a difference in the way she looks. I guess this family will forever be the odd ones, which is just great to me.

xao: Xao is my other sister, and my favorite one. She is a purple shoyru and also has 'different wings.' She understands what it is like to be different and knows how to deal with all of the people who don't understand that. She has taught me alot.

Indeed, I do believe in love. Ally explained it to me, though it is still hard for me to relate, as I've never felt the feeling. Ally says that love is sort of a stupid kind of thing. She says that she thinks about it that way because she once loved someone. She loved someone very much. She knew this person since she was very little in human years. She knew him well. Unfortunatley, when he found out, he didn't feel the same way... He wanted to be friends. Ally stopped talking to him. She misses him. What I fail to understand is that if she misses him so much, why does she not tell him? Or atleast talk to him. She says though I do not understand love now, I one day will. I try not to think of love as a kind of stupid thing, though I don't think Ally does... Well, maybe now that she found someone who loves her very much. Maybe she doesn't feel the same way? I dunno. I'll figure it all out eventually." Aurei smiled.

There is a 'power' that I posess... It'd be better if I just showed you." She grabbed a still-green leaf from the tree branch above her. It slowly began to turn a vibrant orange color, starting at the edges, and moving slowly to the center of the leaf. "See? I've been able to do this since the day I was born. I grabbed a leaf off of a tree, and noticed it began to change. My question to you is, how do you not do it? I am unable to figure this out. No matter though. I'll end up figuring it out soon enough anyway." She grinned and dropped the leaf.

Saturday, January 01, 2005:
Happy New Year. Ally decided I could start a journal. Yay journal. Anyway, today Bhlur told Lock about something and now their relationship is sort of in jeoporady I guess. They've both had to go through too much together. Anyway, today I realized that some people can be real jerks. Someone in the woods was trying to freeze a female shoyru but me and Bhlur and Souli came to the rescue. Wow. I guess I found my inner chid in writing. :D

Ally made me clean today. She is all freaked out because she says she entered my petpage in a guild contest and she really wants to win... She even drew me pictures- Which, mind you, says something because she never does. Anyway, I hope Ally gets what she wants. ^^;

So off you went. The teacher had just entered the bus and you followed as though you were always there. This field trip had actually been fun. You grinned, took a seat on the bus, a rode back. In bettween the branches of the forest, you saw and enlargened maple leaf. You grinned and looked away.
