 A dark forest envelopes you as you wander around in the night. You look for the stars or even the moon to guide you, but there is none to be seen. You sigh as you walk, stumbling over trees and branches. Then, in the distance you see a small light, like that of a camp fire. You walk closer with new hope in your heart, maybe there are some people. As you get closer the blazing light gets brighter and you come across a clearing. When you start to look for the campfire, or other humans, you spot a lone lupe, sitting, gazing into the darkness. He spots you and starts to approach. On his back is the flame, they are his wings, long and beautiful. You step back a bit in alarm and fall over a nearby log. The lupe comes closer and in the fire light you see his red color and flame shaped markings on his head, feet and tail. But the most captivating thing is his pure black eyes. You look at him, wondering what he will do. Then he sits down and smiles at you, his wings dying down a bit.
Phoenix: Goodday guest, welcome to my terra. What brings you out on such a dark night?
You hesitate to answer, still not sure what he will do. Then you sit up a bit and open your mouth. How did you know my name? you finally ask. He smiles at you and flaps his wings.
Phoenix: "To answer that, i must tell you a little more about my self."He says, grinning.
So guest you wish to know about me. Well then,
hello, my name is Phoenix_flamed_wing,but most just call me Phoenix, I even have an Latin name: Lupiuspterigneous, which means lupe with the fire-like wings. I am a special lupe who happens to have the essence of a Phoenix in him. I can use my fire-like wings to fly, and i can control how high the fire is, or how low it can get; it is like a living flame upon my back. I have no real fire breathing abilties, but i can consume myself with fire when rage takes over my mind. Then i become like a giant fire ball. I have been born many times and have now come back in my form that i am now. If you wish to know why i was born this way, then listen to this.
WHY?
: I was born a long time ago to a very loving family of lupes..is guess. My memories of them are still locked away, thanks to the flood of memories from the Phoenix.
*he sighed deeply*
When I was about the age of 1, my family left me. I still have no understanding why, but lucky i was self persevred enough to know how to hunt. So, i grew up on my own, living each day in fear, for i was a fairly small red lupe, and other lupe packs in the woods sought to harm me. I taught myself how to hunt, each day getting better. Then, i met up with a young pup of a different pack. He was a large brown lupe who was itching for a fight. I didn't really want to fight, but he still lunged at me. I quickly dodged, but got swipped by one of his claws. I yelped in pain and then tried to run off, but the lupe followed me. I kept running till i was almost to my den. There i saw the lake that was nearby. I smiled as i had a thought in my head. I ran to it and stood in front of the lake, as the brown lupe approched. He tackled me, hard, but i grunted and pushed back, throwing him over me. I laughed as i saw him swimming around, proud of my acomplishment as he got out and ran away. I started to act tougher and i would let none put me down. I growled as lesser lupes that invaded my families terra.
But, dispite my tough exterior, i still wept every night, hoping for my family to return. One day i was sitting the grass, trying to sneek up on a deer, when this goofy green lupe, about the same age as me comes running up and scares it away. I growled at the yearling, even though he was as big as me, or bigger. But, the pup just laughed and asked me to race, he was always a determined lupe. The lupe seemed to have an odd effect on me, as if all my cares had gone away. But, i guess that is just his personality. My cold, one track mind of scaring others away, had vanished. So, reluctantly i raced him, he won of course. You should see him, he is the fastest thing on four legs.
*He laughed at the memory of him.*
So, i asked him is name, Forest.
He told me of his pack and that he had a twin sister. So, i followed him back to his den and saw his beautiful twin, Selva. I was strucken the first time i saw her, though i do not say it.
*He blushed, his red fur hidding it some.*
She was an inchanting lupess, with beautiful golden eyes. We spent many hours together, her, me and Forest. Forest also had an older sister named Silva, and her mate, named Kenny(nickname.)It was kinda odd to be around so many lupes at one time, i felt like i was home. They were all really nice and asked if i would like to stay with them. But, i didn't take them up on their offer, hoping in my heart that my family would return to the den. But, they never did.
So, i still lived on, my personality had almost completely changed, but i still thought about my family from time to time. I stayed on my family's terra, and will probalbly always stay. I just know they will return......someday. I will not leave..i am just lucky i had forest to come and visit. But...then..one day..my whole life changed..
Many years ago, the great Phoenix inhabited the earth. He would fly about and rain fire upon the land. The humans who saw him thought of him as an omen, spreading plagues and famine to them and their kind. Soon, the people began to conspire against not only the Phoenix, but all other wonderful creatures as well. So, to disguise himself, the Phoenix transformed into a small flower that grew every 50 years. This flower, when consumed, would bring forth the Phoenix into that vassle for safety. This way he would be protected from all humans. Once the eater is possessed, he transforms and is filled with the power and memories of the original Phoenix, who has lived many lifetimes. Well, one day I was out in the forest when i spied this captivating flower, its red and orange petals caught my eye as i was walking past. I was just very young and foolish at the time.*stops for a moment to think.*
guest: so you ate the flower?
Phoenix: Bingo, and now the Phoenix has returned once again in my body to spread its power and fire all through the earth.
guest: But why did you eat a flower?
Phoenix: Don't ask. I just suppose it was destiny that called me to the flower. I'm not sure..but i felt that i must eat the flower, maybe the Phoenix was calling to me. Oh well. *snorts a bit and paces back and forth, flamed wings creating sparks on the ground.*
guest: *Tries to touch one of the embers that lands nearby and to your surprise, it is cool, not burning at all.*
When i arrived back to where my friends were, they were surprised to see me with my flaming wings. But, thankfully i had very loving friends who accepted me for who i was.
*he smiled widely, then it disappered, a memory coming to his thoughts.*
But, there was one brute....He was my old friend, but, when i changed, he didn't accept me. He shunned me and ran away. He was an odd looking fellow. I believe he was a mutant lupe, i am not sure though. His name was.....Koriu. He lived near my old family's den. We always used to play together when i would wait for my family to return. But..that day when i returned, he just stared at me. He backed up as i tried to get closer and tell him it was me...but..he just ran away. I haven't seen him in a long time...and i don't really wish to see him.
*his eyes began to get a cold, black stare as he thought of his desserting friend. He then shoke his head and looked at your eyes.*
guest: Oh, im sorry..*you pause as you look into his angry cold eyes.*
Do not be intimidated by my appearance. I may look fierce but i am really a loyal and kind lupe once you get to know me. I would never hurt you..or anyone for that matter. I am very against the hurting of others, besides my prey of course. I don't like to cause pain..i just..don't want to. Because..though i have not felt real physical pain..i know that my emoitional abandonment and shunning, that pain was just as bad.
*he stopped.*I guess i should continue with my life, shouldn't I.*He laughed.*Well, i still lived out in my family's terra, hoping, praying, they would return. I waited, Forest would come by from time to time, but...i still missed my true family. So, one day, i was by myself, just wandering around for food, when a strange scent came to my nose. I snorted out the foul smell and my flames went down, almost instinctively. I wanted to back away, but something called me toward the scent. Till, in the distance, i saw it. A funny looking creature. It had no fur, and carried a long, silver object. It also walked on two legs. The thing seemed to stir somthing in my new mind..the Phoenix's mind. He and i have separte memories, that come out when certain things happend. The Phoenix seemed to know this beast..he called it a human."Vile creatures.."I breathed, but it wasn't me..it was the Phoenix. He still held the grudge from trying to be vanquished. I started to growl, but i had no control over my body, it was as if the Phoenix was so angery, he had taken over me. My wings began to flare as i stared at the creature, looking, for somthing, i wasn't sure what. But the site of him just made my spine crawl. My flames rose and my eyes almost seemed to have a flame themselves. As i watched the human looked around, he suddenly stopped, raising his long silver object in my direction. I sat completely still, trying to hide, but my flames gave me away. Then, i heard a loud *bang!*sound. It shot through the night with such force that it broke the Phoenix's hold on my body. I opened my eyes and saw the human coming closer to me. I tried to run away, but my leg's wouldn't move. The human stopped a few feet away and smirked.
Your pelt would look excellent on my floor!
It said, with a cold, frighting voice. I stared at it, dumbfounded. Then, he raised his 'gun' and aimed. Something happened. All of a sudden, my mind went away. My body became ingulfed in flame, and the Phoenix took over. I tried to stay in control...but..i couldn't. Everything went black.
When i awoke, i got up slowly, my head pounding. I looked around me, the earth was burned and charred, only a little patch of green was left. On the ground i spied the 'gun.' I was suddenly stricken with fear, what had i done? I looked and saw the human, not far off. He was laying on the ground, motionless. I yelped and walked over to him.
Please don't be dead!"I breathed and looked at him. I sniffed him silently, fearing the worst. But then, the human opened his eyes and breathed heavily. I backed up quickly and turned away. I started t run off, my wings flaring behind me. But, as i left, i heard the human utter.
The Phoenix has returned...after all this time...
I stopped, looking back, he knew of the Phoenix. I started to growl a bit..as if the Phoenix inside me knew this human. But, i didn't stay around any longer. I fled.
Soon after, i learned from the Phoenix's memories of what i did to the human. I layed on the cave floor, sobing. I didn't want to hurt others, but i had almost killed the human.
Do not worry...we did it out of self defense. That vile human was going to kill us...i had to protcet us.
A voice inside me said. "But..i don't want to kill anyone."I said back to it. "How did you control me?
I control this body as much as you do. I am a part of you, just as you are apart of me. It said back, i could almost see the Phoenix grinning. I was scared, what if the Phoenix did something like that again.
Do not worry, you are my vassle, i will only come out in dire need. But..I can not be held responsible for what happens.
It said. I sighed and nodded.
I understand...but..please, whatever you do..don't make me kill."I said.
I promise......
It said.
So far..the Phoenix has kept his promise. But...i still fear....
guest:Oh, I'm sorry."You say, looking at his sad eyes. Then, a question comes to your mind."What about your owner? How did you find her?"You ask, unsure of how he will answer.
He laughed and then smiled at you.
Well, i suppose that i should tell you how i met Sakura. The only human i really like..
He sighed and then started to speak again.
One day, as me and Forest wondered through the terra,when we stummbled upon a trap. I heard Forest yelp in fright and i ran to him. I tried to relase him from the trap, but it was no use. Lucky, it wasn't a metal trap, only a small wooden wedge that got his foot stuck. Forest pulled and kicked and tried to break free, but he couldn't get out of the trap.
Go! Leave me before a hunter comes!
He told me. "No! I will not leave you alone!"I said to him, stubborn to stay were i was. Then, in the distance i heard footstep's approching. I snorted and got infront of Forest to protect him, my wings flaring up. I tried to remember to stay incontrol. Then, from the forest came a pair of light blue eyes. Then, came a young girl, dressed in jeans and wore strange coverings on her eyes. I growled at the girl, unsure of what she would do. She spotted us, looking at Forest.
Oh my! You poor pup.
The girl said. She then started to walk over. I growled and stood infront of her."Stay away!"I warned, snorting.
Do not worry lupe. I will not hurt your friend, i only wish to help.
The girl said. I looked into her eyes, they seemed to have such understanding and love in them. I stood still and bowed my head, letting her pass. She smiled and walked over to Forest. Forest didn't struggle any, he seemed to like this girl. Which was odd, 'How could anyone like a human?' the Phoenix said inside me. I snorted inpatienly as i watched the girl take the trap and pull it apart, relaseing Forest's leg. Forest smiled and jumped on the girl.
Thank you. Thank you!
He said. The girl laughed and smiled.
How would you both like to come with me. I have a house not far from here. I live by myself, and i get very lonely.
The girl said, bowing her head. I snorted. "Why would we do that when we have a perfectly good place here?" I said in protest. Then the girl did something that made my heart almost stop. She smiled, the most beautiful smile and her eyes lit up.
Because...I have been waiting for my family to return..and i think i have found it.
So, we followed her back to her cabin and Forest acted just like a lap dog, jumping on everything, even the girl's lap. I laughed as he ran about the room, inspecting everything.
Yep! Place looks good! This would be a nice place to stay.
Forest said, jumping on a couch and curling up. The girl laughed and patted his head. "What about the others? You can't just leave your family."I said, snorting. The girl turned to me, her brown hair tossed about.
Don't worry. You can come and go as you please, i wouldn't want anything to keep you from your real family.
I looked up to her and snorted some, my flames dieing down. Forest smiled and nodded.Well, new home it is!
He grinned and smiled, falling asleep.
Oh, by the way, I'm Forest. What's yours?
He said, yawning.
The girl laughed and sat next to him.
I'm Sakura. Nice to meet you both.
She smiled and looked toward me, expecting a name. I sighed and looked over to her, still unsure. "I'm Phoenix."I said. Then, Sakura smiled and nodded.
I thought so, due to your appearance.
She said, watching my wings dance. I looked to her, and smiled, weakly. She knew of the Phoenix as well, but the Phoenix didn't seem to know a human like her. I walked over and sat on the floor near her. "Thank you for saving Forest."I said, laying my head down.
I was glad to help. Thank you for staying with me. I promise to protect you both and not let anyone hurt you.
She said with determination in her blue eyes. I laughed and looked to her."And we feel the same way."I said, from nowhere the words had come. But, i still smiled. And to this day, we still live with her, going to visit Forest's family from time to time...but mostly, we stay with her. We have both grown very attacthed, but i still do not spend much time with her. I mostly wander on my own, still going back to my family's terra to wait. For i still believe in my heart, that they will come....my real famliy. Till then..i have my ture family to help me.He smiled and sighed.*
New Journeys
Something else has happened recently. I have lived many years with Sakura and Forest. One day, I went to meet my mate, Nie, when Sakura took me to see Danilee. It was so wonderful to see my love again((thankfully Forest was babysitting Auma...and Jhedi isn't one to come.))So, it was just her and I. Well, we began to get reaquainted and even played tag for a while. I love to fly, and soon took off. Yet, when I looked back down, I realized that Nie couldn't fly. So, I helped her. I let her get upon my back, knowing that she loved to feel how it was to fly. It was so great, my mate, enjoying the ride. But our fun soon Ceased. A large bird who's wings covered the sun came upon us. The phoenix told me that it was a Roc. It had come to eat us. It taunghted us, and called us names, which soon infuriated me. Then, the Roc dove as I was trying to get Nie to a safe place. Unfortunatly, I didn't make it. He slamed into me, knocking me out, and Nie off of my back. I had no idea what happened next. All I could see was darkness. Then a falling sensation came over me as I seemed to fall out of the sky. All of a sudden, the falling stopped as I hit against something..soft. As I opened my eyes, awakening, I saw that I was on the back of Nie, she flying on her ice-like wings. Wait..wings? She did not have wings? But, I had no time to ask. I thanked my mate and then we devised a plan to take out this gaint rat of a bird.
She went to the right as I went to the left, digging into the birds leg with my teeth and flared up. Nie got to it's eyes, scratching at it. the bird got annoyed and created a strong typhoon with it's wings as we still tried to hang on. Luckily we defeated the bird as it flew away, looking for perhaps easier prey. When we landed after the battle, her wings dissapeared. It was still a very intresting experience as I asked her why it happened. She didn't know, but I believed that is happened because of the great peril that we were in. Then, something from the ground caught my eye. It was a shining, silver scale that the Roc had dropped. I went down to retrieve it and then we examined it when I came back up. The Phoenix told me that it was a dragon scale. We still have no idea where, or why the Roc had it...
Friends..
I don't have many friends but the ones i do have I cherish them so. One friend i have is Selva. We are pretty close. She is part of a pack. I am a loner though so i don't join in too much with her family, though i am thankful for what they did to help me. Unfortuntely, i haven't seen her in a very long time...
She also has a twin brother namedforest. He is truely my frist and best friend. He has always been there for me(I think it is because he is to busy running around to notic what i look like.)*he laughs.* We always like to race each other.
This is my newest friend Kawana. She is a creature called a feather Youkai, she is a wind and feather demon. She has had a hard life and is the last one of her species left. I feel sorry for her...even though she is kinda..evil.*looks around.*
 Meet my first, male, not evil, shoryu friend D-Fang! He is just like me in many ways. We both have been cursed and no one can really relate to us. We also know a lot of hate in the world. He is actually a ghost, i can see him only because of my curse..*he looks down, thinking about the Phoenix inside him then he looks back up.*Anyway, he is a very good friend.
Unfortunately...we have not talked in quite some time...I wonder what ever happened to my little ghost friend..?
 This is Talpa. He is a great friend and we have shared many adventures together. He is very interesting..in that he is dead. He likes darkness, and is kinda evil; though I never really see that side. He is a friend of my mate, and my daughter, and an all around wondeful brute. Thank you for always being there my friend...
Family!
Well, this is them, a drawing masterfully done by my owner! She doesn't think she can draw well though, but think it looks great! In the pic is my family, the orange Wocky is Kyo.
He can be very...defensive to say the least. Heh.
Then there is Forest, oh, what a good pal! He has been with me for like ever! Then there is Baku, the baby of the family. He is really odd, but he is a sweet little bro. Last but not least is my owner, Sakura. Yes, she does have ears and a tail, and she does have glasses. She is very imaginative and caring. But, i am sad to say that i neglect her love very often, i almost never spend time with her.

Nie...I love her so much. I have since the moment I lay eyes on her. She i the only one for me and always will be. I never want to be without her again. We recently infact have 2 new additions, Auma, my son, and Jhedi..my daughter. But...our joy was not to last..She has been taken away from me. She, and my daughter are gone. Even so, I shall always love her, no matter what. She is, and always be, the only one for me. My love! You have returned at last! I promise that I will never let You out of my sight again!..

PUPS
These...are my two beautiful pups. My daughter is Jhedi, she bares my wings and flames, except they are of ice.She harbors much at such a young age. Her eyes are filled with hate, and darkness. I only hope that I can help her over come this loneliness she sees. But..she is gone from me now..I hope she will return one day..as I hope my mate does.. My son Auma is the exact opposite. He is friendly, and loving, and always playful. He wants to befriend all, and I am sure he will if he tries hard enough. Each of my pups have the flame of the Phoenix to guide them, but instead of being trapped inside, they are personified into small flames that are like spirit guardains..I am just happy that they don't have to share the same fate as I did when I was young...
This is Nie and I's new pup Zaive. He was found by Nie while she was wondering about her terra. He was born with eye cancer and so has no eyes. The poor thing stumbles around everywhere. He was abadoned when he was less then a year old. We have accepted him as our new adoptied pup. I know he will be a great addition to our family, We love him so. I only hope that no other pup has to suffer the way he did.
