Get a job!

So how do I get a job and what do I have to do? Well, the jobs available will be found at The Employment Agency in Faerieland. And what you need to do is quite simple. You just bring them the items they need and you will get a reward. Now, the hard part is actually getting a job in the first place. There is a lot of pets out there looking for jobs to buy them the things that their owner can't afford yet. And they want those jobs, just as much as you do. That is why I am here. To try to increase your chances of getting that job! ^_^

Do you even make anything of those jobs? I make enough to be happy. This is not something that will get you rich fast, but it is a funny way to get some NP. So far I have never lost any NP on a job. My worst job only gave me a profit of 2 NP, but on another job I made a profit of 7617NP. I usually make about 4000NP a day. I will not promise anything or give any guarantees, I will simply tell you how I make NP of The Employment Agency.

What kind of jobs should I take and how many jobs can I do every day? I stick to the Basic Jobs. I don't think the Jobs that require a coupon (only the Super Jobs require a Job Coupon) is worth it since you usually get more NP for selling the Coupon than you get from using it to do a job. You can do five jobs a day, and you can choose if you want one pet to do them all or if you want different pets to do each of them. The pet that is your active pet is the pet that does the job.

So how do I get started? When you have entered The Employment Agency you go directly toBasic Jobs. Probably it will sayThere are no job postings currently. Please check back soon. And now you need to wait. The job listing will refresh every ten minutes, at 2.00, 2.10, 2.20 and so on. So when the minute is past 9 it is time to get ready. Make sure to have the Shop Wiz ready in a window of it's own, so you can find the items quickly. When the clock is 1 or 2 seconds past the ten minutes (for example at 2.10.01, 2.30.02 etc) you refresh the page. You can refresh by hitting the F5 on your Keyboard. And here is the tricky part.

Catching a Job. When you've refreshed the page, hopefully there will be a list of jobs available (if it still says "There are no job postings currently. Please check back soon.", just refresh again). There is no idea to look for the "best jobs", when you've found it, it will already be gone. Just click the nearest "Apply for this job" you can see as fast as you can. So far I have done like this and never paid more for the job than what I have got in return. The question is not if you will make a profit, but how much (or small) profit you will make. Now if you're lucky it will say "You got the job!" but it might as well say "This job has already been taken." In that case you go back to 'Basic Jobs' and try to catch another one.

To finish the job. Before you proceed, make sure that it really says "You got the job", so you know it's yours. Then look at how much time you've got. If it says 1 or 2 minutes I usually let the time run out. I need time to find the best prices, or else I'll loose NP. But if it says 8 minutes or more it's time to click up the Shop Wiz. Don't close the window with your job, you will need it when you finish the job. Make sure the spelling is correct (when it is more then one item you should get, remember to remove the s from the end, unless it really should be there) and start your search. Refresh at least five times to make sure you find the cheapest item. (I usually open up the cheapest in a new wind*w and replace them if I find it cheaper next time I refresh.) When you've found the cheapest you buy them and go back to your job. Click "You can also click here to return and complete the job!". It will say "Good job! You got all the items we wanted." and if they think you where fast you will get some more NP as a bonus.

Now what? Well, that's it. If everything went as it should you have completed your first job. Just continue like this and you will be a well-experienced employee in no time.

But if I still can't get a Job even after doing what you have told me? People have been neomailing me asking this a lot, so I will add a couple of - well, two, anyway - tips ^_^
The jobs at the top of the page often are the ones that go first, so try to get a job in the middle or near the end of the page. When you have a list of the jobs available you scroll down a bit on the page and hold the cursor over one of the jobs 'Apply for this job' but don't click on it. Then you hit F5 to refresh the page while you keep the cursor still. When the page have refreshed you click as fast as you can on whatever job that turned up on the page this time. This should increase your chances. But you have to try different places on the page to see which place/places that gives you the best chance to get a job.
If you still can't get a job you can be at The Employment Agency at a very busy time. Maybe there are a lot of people trying to get a job at the same time as you. Then it is best to leave for a while and try again in a couple of hours.

Contact me. If you have any questions or feel like there is something missing, then you can send me a neomail at my Main User gipsy_queen. I hope you have enjoyed the "Guide" and that it has helped you in any way. I would like to thank Diva_Pom_Queen and __Cyora__ for being modells and for showing examples of how it works.

My working pet. My working pet is __Cyora__. She does her five jobs a day because she is saving up for a Royal Paint Brush. There is still a long way to go before she has it, but she is stubborn and not the type that gives up until she has got what she wanted.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will return again. Take care and get your pets working! ^_^
