You Don't Know Me You don't know me, You've read over my thoughts, You've blocked me out of your life. My mouth is a zipper, But you've zipped it up, You don't care what I say. You still talk to me, But you voice is like stabs in the back Painful, sad, Memories whispering in the air. When you give me a chance, To hear what I think, Maybe you'll stop, Judging .:A young zafara sits in the distance, her head in her hands. She smiles, but you notice that is not geniune. Her sad piercing green eyes tell you that there is more to this island zafara:. Welcome Stranger." How it Happened Outcast!" Loner!" Leave her alone you guys.......its not her fault she has no friends, HA!" You think you know me but you have no idea who I am. You ridicule me at school each morning, not even considering why I might lurk in the shadows. You laugh at me when I try to befriend fellow Neopians. You give me no choice. I get pushed aside of the social circle when I'm quiet and when I try to make friends. The only option that I see left to pursue is to tell you the truth. The memories of childhood float through my head like a balloon floating through the air on a summer day. I remember having friends. I dont want you to think that I have always been the bullied, defenseless zafara that you know now. It started when I went to Neoschool. I brought my sloth lunchbox filled with all sorts of Neopian treats. It was kindergarten, so I thought that everyone was nervous, but I must've stood out because at lunch, a couple of Usul's came and grabbed my wonderful lunch. Hey, wait! That's my lunch!" I say, my stomach churning with hunger. This is your lunch? Oh my Lucile, we must give her lunch back!" One usul mocks me. Yeah, that WAS her lunch. But now its ours" Lucile says, and takes the rest of my lunch. All around us, kids are laughing. This become routine. I would purposefully tell my Mother to pack leftovers, but still the Usul's came back to torment me. One day, I walked into the lunchroom confident. Today was the day I was going to tell Lucile and the others how I felt. This had to end. As the usul's walked up to my lunchbox, I stood up and started to talk to them. You know what? You guys have just been mean to me this whole school year and I dont deserve it anymore than anyone else does. I'm not mean or rude, all I'm trying to do is eat lunch!" I look around the lunchroom. Everyone is aghast. I dont even remember what Lucile said because next think I know, this handsome Zafara is standing behind me. You tell them Zae," How does he know my name, I though. "I'm Danny. Nice to meet you," Danny says sticking his eager paw out. I gladly shake it and we are off to sit at our own table. I began to feel on top of the world. Everyday at lunch, I would sit with Danny and we would talk and laugh. Of course, having spent so much time with him, I started to like him. Now, this is not one of those school girl crushes you might think, it was a full blown affection. This is the one neopet in the whole school that talked to me. I began to dress up for Danny. I would wear some earrings and a necklace. I smiled more than I ever have. But alas, all good things come to end. I didn't think it would end this way Just as I mentioned earlier, I would sit with Danny everyday at lunch. That morning, I had seen Danny talking to Lucile and I started to wonder. Why would he talk to her when he knew how mean she was? They were even LAUGHING! I brushed it off, I dont like to worry myself and I tend to be an over analyzer. I took my sloth lunchbox and sat at my normal seat in the cafeteria. I saw Danny walking towards me and I smiled. He smiled back. He sat at my table, and I saw Lucile and her clique behind him. I laughed nervously. Next thing I know, Danny reaches over the table and grabs my lunch. He starts to eat it, just like Lucile and her group did the first months of school. I was shocked, but I really didn't think too much into it, until he announced to the whole cafeteria was a trashy lunch I had and how I couldn't afford anything better. He was doing exactly what the two bullies had done to me. The cafeteria burst into familiar laughter. Danny threw the remainder of my lunch into my lap and went to Lucile. He put his paw around her waist and she kissed him on the cheek. My heart sunk to the floor. This had all been a game. Lucile had told Danny to come over to me and work his charm on me, to bring me to the lowest low. And they had succeeded. This brings us to the present. After opening my heart and confiding totally in one person, and realizing that anyone could be fake, I decided to just lock my heart up and throw the key away. I sit in the corner of the class room and avoid the cafeteria but not eating lunch at all. I get lonely quite often, but I guess its better than opening your whole life to someone and then giving them the power to ruin your life. This would not have been SUPER tramatic if people judge me now. I cant get a new reputation because of what happened a a year ago. Its not even about reputation, its about how neopians wont look past the rumors and lies. Its almost like everyone is just too busy to really get to know a person, so they just trust the queen of rumors. Likes...
