Hi, guest! I'm Xochiquetzal, a friendly cloud kau. My name is pronounced sho-shee-KETZ-ul, in case you were wondering. I am 146665 hours old today!!!

Thanks to floradora2u for some helpful hints on this guide!

Do you want one of these?

Well, this game guide will help you along your way!!!

Frumball is a very fun game. For those of you who had an Atari in the 80's like my owner, Crystal, did, it's a game much like Breakout- an old classic! We fans of Breakout had to settle for Korbat's Lab on Neopets for a long time, but it goes SO SLOWLY! Frumball is fast-paced fun, but it's a tad difficult. I've assembled some hints to help you along the way, but nothing but your quick reflexes can win you a trophy!

The Neopets instructions say:
To play Frumball you must hit the ball into the other larger balls to make them vanish. You must use the mouse to control the intergalactic space bat. If you fail to hit the ball, you lose a life - lose all your lives and its GAME OVER. Sometimes a power-up will fall from the screen, if you pick this up with your bat something good may happen! Good luck!

However, things aren't that easy! Here are my ten top Frumball tricks and tips AND the handy "power-up ball guide".

You must use the small green ball and the blue bat together. The green ball flies around the screen, ricocheting off walls and the ceiling, and bouncing off target balls (larger multi-colored balls). Your job is to hit the green ball with the blue bat and make sure the green ball NEVER falls past your bat (through the bottom of the screen). If that happens, you lose a ball, and you only have 3, so be careful!

Top 10 Frumball tips:

10: Make sure you have room on your mousepad to move your mouse quickly. If anything gets in your way, your game will end before you know it. Also make sure your mouse ball is clean and smooth because debris and dirt will make your movements shaky and unpredictable.

9: Use the "warp" power ups carefully. They might skip you past your favorite levels onto the hardest where your game will end quickly. If you warp, you don't receive any points for the levels you skip. However, if you absolutely hate a certain level but do well when you're past it, a warp may be the right decision.

8: Never hold still. Frumball is like tennis. It's hard to get moving from a stop, but easier to get to where you need to be if you're already on the move. I tend to stay near the middle of the screen and hover around while the ball is off hitting targets. That way, I'm never farther than halfway across the screen to catch the ball. If you have to go all the way from the far left to catch a ball headed toward the far right, you might not make it in time and your aim will be poor.

7: Try to make the ball move at an angle. When you hit it with the middle of the bat, it will go straight up and down, meaning you'll have a shorter time in between required hits. This means the ball will be moving faster and if you don't keep up, your game will be over in no time. Hitting with the sides of the bat will make the ball go at an angle, meaning it will travel a greater distance, giving you time to get into position.

6: Only 3 power balls are worth possibly sacrificing a life: H, because a single ball probably won't net you 1000 points anyway, and X and 3, because extra lives will be worth it.

5: Don't be so focused on catching the power up that you miss the ball. If you catch most power ups but then lose your ball, you won't get any advantage. There are a few exceptions, like X, 3, W, Z, etc., but if you lose your current ball before you catch the power up, you've lost both and gained nothing.

4: The target balls on the edges of the screen are the hardest to hit. When you begin a level for the first time or after losing a ball, move the bat to the edge of the screen so it will hit those first.

3: If you have a good paddle power up (like E) don't catch a P or S for example. If you have an E (enlarge bat) and catch a P (speed ball up), not only will the ball speed up and be harder to catch with your bat, but your bat will shrink back to normal size!

2: Don't jump to catch just any power up ball. Learn what to do and which to avoid.

1: Think quick, move fast, and most of all, have fun!

The power up balls to avoid at all costs are in red. The ones you always would like to catch if possible are in green. Whether or not you want the yellow ones depends on the level you're in and your personal preferences.

This is how you read the guide:

X= extra life" means: Catching a power up ball with the letter X on it will gain you an extra life.

A = This powerup will force you to re-start the level you're currently on.
B = Double Ball (a second ball will fall from the top of the screen, giving you two balls at once.)
C = Crazy Bounces (The ball will not react in the expected way when it hits walls or targets.)
D = Invisiball (The ball will shrink to a size where you can barely see it.)
E = Enlarge Bat (Your bat will become longer, making the game easier)
F = This will make every target ball on the screen need to be hit 3 times before it will disappear.
G = Glue (The ball will stick to your bat each time instead of bouncing right off. You release it by clicking.)
H = Giant Chokato (A giant chokato will fall from the top of the screen. Catch it to receive 1000 points!)
I = Indestructi-ball (Your ball will plow right through the targets instead of bouncing off after hitting each one.)
L = Slow Down (The ball slows down.)
M = Super Multi-ball (3 - 5 balls will fall from the top of the screen. Try to keep them all going at once for big NP!)
N = Neopoints Galore! (Little bags of neopets will fall from the top of the screen. Try to catch as many as you can without losing your ball!)
P = Speed Up (Your ball will speed up.)
R = The opposite of "F", this makes every target ball only need to be hit once before disappearing. This is a great one to catch if you've accidentally caught the "F" ball or if you're on level 13!
S = Shrink Bat (Your bat will shrink.)
T = Triple Bat (You will have three bats attached to one another.)
V = Catching this ball will make a giant pant devil fall from the top. STAY AWAY- if you catch him, say goodbye to all of your game points (don't not affect your NP except in the game).
W = Warp 1 level (Warps you to the next level immediately.)
X = One extra life
Z = Warp ahead 3 levels
3 = 3 extra lives

And, thanks to Neopets Magazine, here is a hint that everyone will enjoy! Entering the word FRUMBALL when you are playing will reward you with an extra life. :) From the wheel of knowledge: Type "kougra" while playing Frumball to skip the level, although your points will get reset." And when they say reset, they mean your points go back to zero!!! (Thanks for the tip, Flo!)
