Sooooo, you wanna learn how to make blinkies, hmmmm, ok! all you have to do is follow these directions, if you have any questions, or anything else, Neomail Me!

Need some help, visit my FAQ's page!
So to make things simple we are going to animate these two hearts.

  1. To start animating, you need an animation program, you dont need nothing , but something simple will do. We will use this animation program for this example.

See its simple, and easy to use, this is a standard animation program.

  2. You need the frames, for example on my hamster blinkie there where only three frames,

And for this the frames are...

Once you have the frames, move on to the next step.REMEMBER: your frames MUST, be GIF Files.

  3. Once you have your animation program open, you need to get your frames put into it. So left click the start button, or the button that opens up your menu, its usually in the far left hand corner.

  4. When it opend find the button that says "My Documents" Or "User Documents" Something like that.

Once you find it left click it.

  5. It should open up some kind of window, that has folders in it.

Remember the folder you save your frames in, it will most likely be a folder like or

You Might need to skip this step depending on how you save your pictures!

  6. Once you opended "My Pictures" There will either be pictures or folders, if you have pictures, and no folders, skip this step. If you have folders click the folder you saved your frames in, I animate a lot so I made a seperate folder for my animations, and frames, but thats just me!

  7. Once you opened the folder that had your frames in it, find the frames then move to the next step.

  8. Make sure you didnt close your animation program, because this is where you click and drag your frames into the animation program.

Like I said you click and drag one frame st a time and put them into your animation program, in the order you want them to play

  9. Once you have your frames in the animation program you clan close your documents window. You wont be needing it anymore. So you can ajust the speed of your frames, and if you want it to keep playing after its through all the frames here,

You usually want "Loop Animation" on. That way the blinkie keeps going, and dosnt stop after one round. The avarage "Frame Delay" I use is 20-25 cs. The higher the #, The slower your blinkie moves, the lower the #, the faster your blinkie moves. We will use 20 cs for this animation, but its intirely up to you, to say how fast it moves.

  10. Now its time to complete your blinkie and save it, first press the "Make Animated GIF" button or some other button, like "Finish Now" or something.

As soon as you do that, a saving point will come up,

Save it as something you will remember, like "something-animated

Awsome! You are now done, and we turned this into this
Now you are a blinkie animater! And again if you have any questions PLEASE, PLEASE, Neomail Me.
