Welcome to my Dung page! My owner and I have been collecting dung since long before i can remember. When she decided to write a story about it i told her she could place the story here on my petpage. Hope you enjoy the Story.

Why Dung?
Pull up a seat and keep your shoes on, this is going to be a very messy story. Hi, my name is Durenity and I am addicted to collecting piles of dung. I get asked at least once or twice a week; "Why do you collect stinky dung items and most of all Piles of dung? And what are you going to do with all that dung?" Well, I would have to say it all began with the coming of Meridell and Meri Acres Farms *Pick your own berries*. (Which if I'm not mistaken use to be much cheaper.) And shortly following came the invention of the Avatars. Just so happen that the dung avatar was the first that I received. One day back before this insane Dung addiction. I remember they were having one of those polls on the main page asking " If there could be a new land which would you choose?" Now I can not remember the other options but I do remember I chose the Medieval land thinking to myself " Wow, it would be awesome to see a cool medieval theme land around Neopia." Then about six months later, there it was, sitting innocently next to Neopia Central. Now in the beginning I remember it to be much different than it is now but the one thing that seemed to stick out in the very beginning was the *Pick your Own Berries on Meri Acres Farms. I thought it was funny how you could be pick'in for berries and instead of finding delicious Loveberrys, Mortogberrys or even Half-eaten berries, you would suddenly find a piece of wool, or a piece of barb wire, or even better a NICE FRESH PILE OF DUNG. Everyday it seemed that I would collect more and more piles of smelly dung and as hard as I tried I could not sale it in the shops nor trade it in the auctions, and now the money tree will not even take it. So, there it sat in my Safety Deposit Box, until one day, I came across a dung bed from the Tyrannian Furniture store and thought to myself, wow that's cool not only are there piles of dung floating around Neopia they make furniture, also. Seeing that the price of the furniture was not that much at the time I purchased a few pieces here and there and threw them in my gallery. Every time I would find a piece furniture or food made of dung I would buy it until I had almost an entire collection. Then one day, after about a week or so (or Longer) of not being able to get on or around a computer, I signed on to find the invention of the Avatars and somehow I managed to hear about the dung avatar and seeing that I had already began my collection, the dung avatar became the first avatar I would work to receive. When the SDB avatar came along I used all my dung items and other gallery items to help fill it up and when I finally had finished after almost one whole year of collecting items for my Safety Deposit box I started to empty it and found several piles of dung left and not knowing what to do with them I decided to keep them and see how many I could actually collect. I started by buying every piece of dung I could find for under two Np. Then I found someone that had over one hundred piles and I bought all of them in a single day. It took only one week to reach Four Hundred piles and now I receive and buy piles randomly every day. My collection is growing and soon I should reach the Six hundred mark. My collection of Piles have been growing so fast that I can not seem to make my gallery big enough to hold it all so I keep my smelly piles of dung in my safety deposit box until the day I have collected all the Dung in Neopia. ::Mawwhaaha:: Now I am pretty sure that this may be impossible because dung is produced everyday .However I will do my best to help keep Neopia clean from piles of dung. Even if it means filling up my Safety Deposit box day after day. And even if I can not collect all the dung in Neopia Maybe one day I will be named the Stinkiest of all Neopia. Until then if you ever come across or get caught stepping on a pile of dung, don't just discard it. Send it on over, I will be more than glad to take it off your hands (or should I say feet). If you would like to see my collection just stop by anytime but remember to watch your step it tends to get a bit messy sometimes with all that stinky dung lying around everywhere. Also be cautious of my pets they tend to have dung fight every now and then. When that happens dung flies and sometimes lands on unexpected neopians. ::Ewwwww:: So finally I would like to say after three years of Neopets you would think that I would have found a better hobby than collecting stinky Dung. I have collected several other types of items but the most interesting item it seems for me to collect is dung. I do not know why it is so fasinating.Just the thought of being able to say. "Hey did you know that I have Five Hundred and Forty Piles of dung, or You better watch out or I will toss dung at you" seems so great to me. And now for the answer to the grueling question asked by so many. Why Dung? Well, why not. Where else besides Neopia could someone collect such a stinky thing and get away with it. No other place that I can think of and what better way to keep that sneaky Pant Devil away than to have an inventory full of dung. Have you ever known him to steal dung? I haven't!
