,"Golden sea of grass so coarse
You blink, trying to figure out if your ears were playing tricks on you. "Was that... singing?",
,"Sure was, doofus.",
Where am I?" You ask with narrowed eyes. You weren't sure if you liked this at all. Suddenly, a strangely patterned kougra appeared off to your side, smirking.
,"The great plains. My home. Where else?",
You looked around, suddenly noticing the green-gold grasses and wide spaces. The kougra smirked some more, then swung around and took off at a run towards the distance.
,"I gots... things, to do. Go ahead 'n look around if ya want.
With wild-flowers of color
And the solid gray of boulder,
The plains are like no other,",
Er... well... I don't really feel like talking about it.
They never came back.
But I guess I will. Since some people are just plain nosey. -glares-
I live in the plains. Always have, always will. And I used to live with my parents.
We plain kougras are born with themes. My father's theme was sunset colors, and my mother's theme was forest. She's the one who gave me my jewelry.
Plain kougras are also born with the ability to disappear... we're not the most social animals, you see.
But one day a wildfire happened. But it was a strange one. My father had dug a ditch around our area of plain, to keep the fire out, but the fire was so hot that it burned the very dirt and leapt across the ditch. My parents dropped me down into our underground home, sealing it up and saying that they were going to get help.
Okay, lemme get this straignt. I ain't related to any of these bozos. We're just adopted by Rex, and meet up every month at her house, 'n stuff. We live our own lives. Got it? Good.
Marbs - Heh. Me favorite target. It's real funny to watch when she gets angry with me... Silleh Marbs. Doesn't she know that when she yells at me, I'll prank her even more?
Sunny - I dunno. He's kinda creepy... Then again, so is Marbs. But he's creepy in a different way. Must be his eyes... It's like he's lookin' right into yer soul or somethin'. o_O
Sweet - Hmph. She's such a stupid, hyper squirrel. And she's always talking to that bird petpet of hers... I'm pretty sure it warns her about the pranks I'm trying to pull on Sweet. I haven't gotten one mud balloon on her yet! Dx She's an insult to me perfect record.
Moon - He's... Uh... Okay? Real serious all the time. Probably lonely, too. Sometimes he tries to talk to me, I guess for the sake of havin' nothin' else to do. I couldn't care less. -sticks tongue out-
Sauk - I don't prank her. She's just... Unprankable. She doesn't get angry whenever I do anythin' to her. She just stares me down... I don't like her very much.
Cost - Personally, she's waaaay too much of sissy for me. Real shy. Whenever she sees me, she whimpers and runs away. Geez. xP
Ruw - A funny guy to prank. Since he's apparently of 'royal descent', he never expects any pranks from the 'commoners'. Poor sap.

Rexy is a theif, like me. Except, she's WAY more serious at her job than I am. Oh sure, I like stealing the odd thing, pranking, and all that, but she steals only the best. She also has this creepy snake that when it bites you, your recent memories are wiped away, so there are usually no witnesses to whatever she does. We help each other out, sometimes, and she's alright. o_O Just don't EVER get on her bad side, trust me.
The strangely patterned kougra smirked, saying "Wait right here" before disappearing into the grass. A minute or two later, she came back up, with a little butterfly-looking thing curled up on her back. Snowdrop wiggled until the thing dropped off, and made a grumpy-sounding noise. "This is Rosie. She sleeps too much, but hey, she's a cutie." Snowdrop poked the carmeriller until it started to glare.
Heh. Rex made some adoptables. She just wants to tell you to follow the rules or she'll bite you'll be frozen or something. Her words, not mine. o_O

Okay, so if you weren't scared away by now, here are the adoptables! =D
1. DO NOT take the logo off, or claim that you made the adoptable.
2. DO NOT color them in. If you want a custom, ask me... Maybe I'll be nice and make one for you.
3. DO NOT enter them in a beauty contest.
4. If there is a custom there (not one of the basic colors), DO NOT use it. It's the owners design, and they should take credit for it.
5 If you want me to make a custom, you must have a ref. picture. I won't accept descriptions.
