You wander through a snowcovered area, snow swirling int your face. Frozen and hungry you have no choice but to press on. Soon you see a large, crystaline castle in the distance. The next thing you know a white ixi happily bounds towards you, a large grin plastered upon her face. She skids to a halt just before you and nods, still grinning. "Hello guest, I see you came to look at my wonderful ice mountian! Please, don't mind the snow and cold, it's much warmer inside, come!" The ixi leads you into the castle where it is much warmer. "Well, here you are and I do hope you like it!" She nods to emphasize this and quickly goes back to talking. "There are loads of things to do here which include looking at my info, family, friends, and even some adoptables I made myself!" Coughing is heard and Saliraka sighs. "All right, jedzia_dax helped; a little."

~Crystal Library~

<You wander into a large room, taller than the Neolodge could ever be. You look around to find that shelves have been carved into the crystal walls and lined along them are books of every kind! You look up, in awe as you try to imagine where they all came from and how there could be so many different books when you hear the sharp 'clip, clop' of hooves behind you. Turning you see that it's only Saliraka, comming to see you. She gives a smile and jestures to the room.

I know that books aren't my thing but this was here whe I found it. All the books were here too, well, most of them." She gave a smile then continued. "Here," She indicated to a smaller shelf to the left, "is where my stories rest, feel free to read through them as I wrote them myself." She smiles and nods. "Do injoy and I guess you could try to read the others, I haven't even looked at them." She shruggs and turns, walking out.

Looking back around you see a few different stories, then pick one to read.

~The Beginning~

jedzia_dax has always wanted an ixi, ever since she saw the firest in Meridell. She didn't want to create a new one though, but couldn't find one in the pound. So, this my friend, is where my story begins.

Like every other pet I have parents, or had I should say. I never knew my mother or father, both of them dying when I was very young. Like other abandoned, parentless neopets I was given to the pound, weak and scared. Now I had seen many neopians come in, hoping to bring home that perfect neopet. I did my best to look cute, lovable and perfect but they always passed me by.

I was in there a very long time, becomming more unhopeful as the months went by. Eventually I wasn't being fed, my cage had actually been unlocked, and I was basically forgotten.

Like any other smart neopet I waited until nightfall and escaped from that horrid place. I carefully made my way through the rooms of cageds, making sure not to wake any other pets. I had finally found the exit and thought that I was home free.

I found myself prancing across the front fielf when I heard growling. I stoped dead in my tracks, almost frozen whit fear. Slowly turning around I realized that they heald five shadowed lupes for 'protection'. They had shining, yellow eyes as they slowly closed in upon me.

Well I wasn't about to get caught so I turned and bolted. I know ixi's are fast but so were these lupes; I swear they had some ixi blood in them 0.o". Even though I didn't look back I knew they were on my tail, I could hear them, not to mention feeling their breath.

I could see the tall, barbwire fence comming up to greet me but no way around it. I was running out of time and needed a plan; fast. Doing the only thing I could see was reasonable, I jumped. Planning on making it over and determined to get away from the pound, I somehow mannaged to clear the fence.

I landed hard on the dirt outside the fence, falling to my knees. The clanging of the femce from the lupes tackling it only encouraged me to get back up and run. I could hear voices and I saw the glow of lights behind me as I fled; but I had made it.

For the next few months I found myself wandering around neopia, just trying to survive. Eventually I gave up, laying down in an empty field in Meridell. Luckly jedzia_dax was cutting through the field and spotted me. jedzia_dax then took me home.

Well, there you have it! My wonderful story about, me! ^.^" Ok, it's not that great but meh! It's the truth!

~Wishful Thinking~

This is my story on how I got Xander. It's strange, but good! ^.^

Jedzia and I were wandering through Neopia Central, getting our shoping done for the week. Unfortuneatly the day we chose to shop was one of the busiest days of the week. I slowly followed behind Jedzia, dodging other pets and their owners and pepets.

Being there on that busy day made me realize how lonely I was without a petpet of my own. I looked up, hoping to ask Jedzia only to find her heading over to another neopians shop. It was quite large and seemed to have a sale on but almost everyone was passing it.

Well, Jedzia doesn't care what others think so she walked in with me following. I stoped in the entrance, looking around in the dimly-lit store; it kinda creeped me out.

Reluctantly, I followed Jedzia around, keeping close as we wandered through the isles filled with spooky stuff.

We finally reached the final isle, and I was surprised to find that it stocked normal items, and alot of it too. I grinned and wandered ahead of Jedzia, looking at the various items on the shelves.

A blue item at the end of the isle caught my eyes. THere was a cage around it and, luckily, it was on the second shelf so I could see it. SItting in that cage was the most adorable Katadotie I had ever seen!

I had always liked Katadotie, and this one was a great price. I looked back to Jedzia who was getting what she needed. I sat, awaiting for her to reach me so I could ask.

Can I get this Katadotie?" I asked her, giving her the best puppy dog eyes I could muster.

She stoped and blinked, looking down at me. "How much is it? You do know that most petpets are quite expensive; right?"

I gave her a nod then pulled down the cage. "Look! It's sooo cute and only 1000 np's too!" I grinned hopefully, holding out the cage.

Only 1000 np's? Well..... It is a good price..."

I gave her a few moments to think while becomming more excited by the second.

Ok, I guess you can get it Sali..."

YES!" I exclaimed, jumping in the air then hurrying over to the shop owner.

As soon as Jedzia had paid we both hurried home, though I was much farther ahead, I couldn't wait to play with my petpet.

Upon reaching the crystal place I raced into my room and opened the cage to let my new petpet out. Grinning, I watched and waited for my Katadotie to move but all it did was blink.

Curious and confused I began to prod it gently with my hoof. Strangly, the Katadotie didn't feel, well... real. More like a fabric or something. Now thouroughly confused I slowly began to circle about it, that was until I reached the back.

There, at the back, was a long, blue zipper. My eyes went wide as I stared at it, blinking from time to time. Shaking my head I came out of my daze and slowly grasped the zipper. Carefully I pulled it down, not knowing what to expect and not taking any chances.

It easily came down, revealing a beight back. I paused, blinking again, watching the petpet under the fabric. Before I could reach back out to take off the 'case' the petpet sprang at me. I let out a startled cry and fell backwards. Finally opening my eyes I found myself staring into the eyes of a Warf.

I sta up and looked at the creature who was clearly facinated by me until it jumped and clamped down on my tail.

Ahhh!!" I exclaimed, kicking and sending it flying. "You brat! That was my tail!"

I gave it a stern glare only to find that he, (yes he) was tearing up the Katadotie costume. I sighed, walking over and picking him up, placing him on my back. I then deposited him on my bed and looking down at him.

I suppose I can't send you back, can I?" I sighed and looked at his panting face. "I suppose Xander suits you.."

He barked once then clamped onto my tail agian; this was going to be a long life.

This is Damen_sky, my new, younger sister. She's a very special red ixi, kinda like me. Instead of having the two horns she has one, long unicorn-like horn. She is blood red, with black highlights and quite a dark girl. Though once you get past her appearance you'll find that she's actually a really nice girl, just don't get her mad!

This is my cute little petpet, Xander. He's a really cute petpet, when he's not chasing me around the room. 0.o" But anyways, he can get pretty energetic, especially first thing in the morning and he always ends up waking me. As you can see though he also has special markings, for some reason he looks almost like me. I don't know how it happened but that's how it is. ^^

~Friends~

	This is my new, and very good friend, Evangelleaon, or Evan as I call him. ^.^ He's a very special Ixi, though I can't exactly tell you why... but we get along great!
This would be my newest friend, Ushii. ^.^ We met a few days ago and already are great friends. He seems quite interested in a flying ixi, though there are actually quite a few of us around.. ^^" Oh well, mabye you should visit him some time?

You wander down a long hallway, looking left and right at the different peices of art hanging off the walls. Reaching the end you find that there isn't anywhere else to go. About to leave a pedistal with a book sitting on it catches your eyes. Turning you look down at the plain, brown cover and gold writing. The book reads: Photo Album. Curious, you open it and begin to flip through the snapshots.

Bah! This was a shot that jedzia_dax took when I wasn't ready.. but not bad I guess..

21/09/03Three fan arts! *grins and dances around* YAY for me! Also, I've gotten two new custom adoptables made of me.. *smiles* I luvvle you guys! *dances* But ya... I've now got a guest book, ^.^ so don't forget to sign it! =P And I've added my sister's link on my ixi quilt, I'm still looking for new patches!! Well.. I think that's about it.. more will be added soon! *dances away* 16/09/03I've made four more adoptables! *grins* There all on and added. 15/09/03I've gotten two new adoptables made of me! *grins widely* I can't believe the kindness of you people! ^.^ I've also made up.. *thinks* one or two new customs and I'm currently working on twoish more... Keep them comming people! A guestbook has been added at the bottom along with quite a few new quilt patches, I'm looking for more! The photo album has been added and jedzia_dax is hoping for some people to do some art trades or something.. *wink* Umm... as for the story, it's half done and jedzia_dax is just a lazy bumm... u.u Just like her eh? Well.. it's late and she's gotta scan the... *counts* 7 pics she drew today! 0.o" Wow... amazing eh?

08/09/03Three more ixi adoptables have been put up: Faerie, Island, and Halloween. Two more customs have been added as well. Go me! ^.^ There is a new section on the way, it's already half completed down near the adoptables. It's called "Roleplay Help" and I think it's pretty good so far. More pictures have been scanned and a photo album will be added shortly, as well as a nother story for the library! Lots of things comming shortly so keep your eyes peeled!

02/09/03Jedzia_dax has drawn a new picture of me! *grins* It's displayed up under my information and I personally think it's really nice. The outline is done on paper when the rest is colored on the computer. She's panning on drawing more of me and I've entered in the beauty contest! Care to give me a vote? But anyways; I will be adding new adoptables so if you requested one, you'll just have to hang on. Also, Jedzia has started school! 0.o" That means she won't be on as much or updating.. *cries*

25/08/03Well, what do you think of the new layout? *blinkers* It took jedzia_dax all day yesterday to get it done then the webpage wouldn't let us save our changes... -_- But it's all good now! ^.^ More quilt patches have been added and a new friend and my story are comming shortly! Yay! Plus, jedzia is planning on entering me in the beauty contest today! 0.o" I hope I don't look too bad... Wish me luck!

She told me she's planning on using it in the b/c so wish me luck! I've started my quilt though it's kinda bland and empty.. ^^" hopefully jedzia will make me a quilt patch. ~Roleplay Help~

This, is a brand new section in the page! It was partly jedzia_dax's idea but I decided to put it here. Now, I know that there are a lot of roleplayers out there in Neopia, jedzia_dax is one of them. ^^" And I've heard from her that not all are good, as they use 'computer language' or they just can't spell period. 0.o" This is here, to help teach all those 'bad' roleplayers, so everyone has a good time. Now since this is basic it won't help too much but it's the basics, grammar, spelling, how to rp properly ((in no particular order)). I do hope you enjoy it and ya.. ^^

~Intro~
This is the intro to the rp guide. I won't say much here but you don't have to read all the parts in here, just the ones you think you should. I have a breakdown of the basic sections that you'll find here. They are: Grammer, Spelling, Punctuation and Format. The descriptions of each area will be described under the title. Now, onto the guide!

~Proper Format~
Ah! Actually one of the more contrivercial issues in roleplaying, how to roleplay properly. Now, being that I've ((Yes, this is jedzia_dax speaking.. ^^")) roleplayed for a number of years now I've seen many different styles and approaches at this. I, personally, don't think there is any 'appropriate' way to roleplay though I do know that one way is much easier to understand and follow. These are some of the more common way's I've seen people roleplay:

Sandy: She sits at a table, wearing blue t-shirt and baby blue pants. "Hi!"
*Tish walks in* Hi! *sits down* How r u?
Kalora walks in, long brown hair waving gently behind her. She looks around the room, brown eyes scanning the occupants. She decides to make conversation and sit's beside Tish. "Hello, I'm Kalora." She offers her hand.

Now, I'm sure you can see which one would be easiest to rp with, well, we hope 0.o" But anyways, it's the third one. It gives us a description of Kalora, what she's thinking slightly and what she is currently doing. It could be done better, more description but that can always be done in later posts. As for the other two, one has no description at all and uses 'computer language' and the other just doesn't go into too much depth. Though, sometimes too much depth can get scarry...
It was exactly 12:44, 23 seconds after, when Howden Julia Yani entered the croweded, stuffy coffee shop. She stoped 5 inches from the revolving doors and scaned every inch of the room with her deep, navy blue eyes. She pushed her $150, black framaed, designer glasses up her nose and strut into the room.

Ok, I think we get it now.. 0.o" Scarry eh? We don't always need to know the time, full name or designer stuff including cost for everything. If you continue on like that everyone will be bored out of their minds and never want to rp with you again! What you have to do is find a happy medium between the undescriptive and the descriptave, as seen above. Not everything has to be known at first, it can be introduced gradualy though conversation and such.

Now that the format is settled there isn't much more to the basics of roleplaying, other than homophones.
What are homophones you ask? Well, here's the dictonary's description of it: 'a word that is pronounced the same as another, but differs in spelling and meaning. "Hair" and "hare" are homophones"

There you have it, the description to homophones. Now, it bothers me so much when people use the wrong words, especially because there are so many different homophones. Now, here are some of the most common homophones and the different meanings to each.
- To: in the direction of; toward: on my way to school
- Too: also; in adition; besides: The band was invited, and the chior too
- Two: The number two; 2
- There: in that or at a place: Put it there, not here
- Their: possessive, or belonging to them: their house
- They're: Contraction: they are
- its: possessive, or belonging to: The tree has lost its leaves
- it's: contraction: it is
- No: a denial, a refusal: There is no water in the tap
- Know: to preceive with the mind; understand clearly: He knows what he is doing
- Your: possessive, belonging to you; your coat
- You're: Contraction: you are
- Yore: of yore, in the distant past; of long ago: in days of yore
These are probably the most common of them, though I think they're might be more.. *thinks for a moment* Anyways, its a good thing that you no what yore doing when it comes two homophones?
*cough* Ok, that was bad I know but now you know what it's like trying to read some rp's... 0.o" really hard to read eh? As long as you have those down it should be fine. Now I know there are more but those are the more common ones. If your not sure about a word then do the best thing you can: [i][b]Look it up![/i][/b] Ok? ^.^

~Spelling~
Ok, now I should't be saying much about spelling, as I'm not that great at it myself.. ^^" But it is good to know how to spell different things. As I have learned from my teachers this year, there are a few words that I didn't even know were spelt wrong! 0.o" That shocked me as you can guess. But anyways, there aren't many that I personally know of, just two at the moment; ^^" but I'm sure there are more. I will list the two down here so you know the proper spelling:
- can not: this is [i]wrong[/i]! It is [b]not[/b] a word and instead should be spelt; cannot or can't.
- alot: this is also [i]wrong[/i]. It is supposed to be spelt a lot, with space between the a and l.
That's all for the commonly misspelt words but I advise you to check if your not quite sure, though in rping it's not [i]that[/i] important. Also, there is the common mistake of and and the. Some people, like me, type really fast and sometimes come up with adn and hte. Now it's quite easy to know what these two words are, as they're probably the most common mistakes but correction of them isn't as important.

I think I've covered most of the mistakes and basics of rping, though more might be added later. I do hope you enjoyed reading this and actually learned something, I know I did! LoL!
