QUESACOTL'S GUIDE TO JUBBLE BUBBLE

Hi guest, I'm Quesacotl and I'm here to help you become better at Jubble Bubble.

My owner tokugowa_ieyasu plays this game alot because he want's to paint Balagoran Maraquan (she's not so sure she want to live underwater though)
and is too cheap to buy the paint brush, so he tries to win it by playing world challenges.
With my help you will be winning in the world challenges too and someday you may even
win one of these shiny trophies for your trophy case:

The first thing you need to know is how the game plays.

You control a male Maraquan Shoryu named Kelby
and your aim is to catch the poor JubJubs that are falling to the sea floor in one of your bubbles
so they float down gently and don't crash.
To do this you use your mouse to move Kelby across the screen to where the poor JubJub is falling,
then by clicking and holding down the left mouse button you will start Kelby's Bubble Stream.
When the Bubble Stream is at the same hight as the JubJub release the mouse button to send a big bubble up to catch him.
Once he's in the bubble you don't need to worry about him anymore, he will reach the sea floor safely giving you 10 points for your score for being so nice.
If you do miss him and he crashes into the sea floor you will lose a 'life'.
Lose three lives and it's game over.

Now that you know how to save the poor little JubJubs, let me tell you what else you will see falling in the sea.

In addition to the JubJubs you will also see dubloons and shells falling to the sea floor.
So what do they do?
Well a Dubloon will add 25 points to your score so they are well worth collecting if you can.
Don't worry if you miss one though, only missing JubJubs will take a 'life' off you.

That leaves shells.
Shells are heavy and if one hit's Kelby he will be stunned and unable to move for a few seconds.
Very bad I'm sure you agree.
But if you catch a shell inside one of Kelby's bubbles it won't hurt you.
So it's best to catch the shells, even though they are only worth 5 points.

Well that's the basics but there is more to scoring 1,000+ points everytime you play:

The first (and probably most useful) trick I'm about to tell you is simple;
after you release Kelby's bubble immedeatly start heading back towards the centre of the screen,
don't wait under the JubJub you just saved until the next one appears because if your on the right side of the screen and the next JubJub falls far to the left
you may not make it in time (and once the game speeds up at 900-1,000 points you will not be able to get there).

You should also start Kelby's Bubble Stream early i.e. BEFORE he is under the JubJub.
With practice you will learn when to start the stream so that it reaches the JubJub just as Kelby gets under it,
reducing the time you spend stationary to a fraction of a second and thus inceasing your chances of getting to
the next JubJub that falls.

The following tactics are for use once you have passed 1,000 points and the game has reached full speed:

Don't always go for the dubloons and shells.
If you are playing for a high score somtimes it is best to ignore the dubloons and shells that fall to the edge of the screen.
Toku has been tripped up and lost 'lives' many a time by going after a dubloon or shell he knew he probably shouldn't have
and I don't want you to make the same mistake.
As a general rule don't go after the dubloons at the edge of the screen and use your best judgement when it comes to the shells
(don't forget though; rules are made to be broken).

Try releasing the bubble two or three points before the Bubble Stream reaches the JubJub;
the JubJub is falling so fast that Kelby's bubble will reach him no problem!
A great time saver.

If you ever find that a JubJub is very close to Kelby as he reaches him (and you will)
you will need a Bubble Stream of two points to catch him.
Any more and the bubble may travel too far (although three points is usually ok),
any less (only one point) and the bubble might not catch him,
I'm not sure why it sometimes misses but it does.

Thats about all there is to it really.
Now get out there and practice, practice, practice!
