Hello!
My name is Queen_Ancalime and I am a Tonu! Did you know that Tonu are EXTREMELY rare and come from a
very special part of Tyrannia?
I am only 67708 hours old! I was hatched on March 5, 2002 at around 9:30 NST -- one of the first Tonus to roam Neopia! I started Green, and on March 5, 2006 around 10:00 NST, I came into my Glowing.

Tonu are pretty special pets. Usually we're shy and mind our own business, but make us mad and we'll charge! As for me, I like to roam around the forest and I love to gather food too. (But I hate Beefy Broccoli -- mixing meat with veggies, what's up with that? I also can't stand Plain Omelette or Neocola, too bland, yuck.) Tonu love to read! satin_gal is having a little trouble finding books, but I'm sure I'll be as
smart as my big brothers and sister.
One book I really should tell you about is called Unfinished Tales. Actually, it's a collection of stories by a guy named J.R.R. Tolkien. That's because I'm named after a character in one of the stories! It's called "The Mariner's Wife." It's not a really happy story... but it's about Tar-Ancalime or Queen Ancalime That's my name! It means "brightest of all". (You pronounce it like this: ahn - KAL - ih - meh.) She was the first ruling queen of Numenor. Ancalime's mother was named Erendis, and she taught her lots of things. One of those teachings is why this is my name. It fits me very well, because I know how to stand my ground:
Thus it is, Ancalime, and we cannot alter it. For men fashioned Numenor: men, those heroes of old that they sing of -- of their women we hear less, save that they wept when their men were slain. Numenor was to be a rest after war. But if they weary of rest and the plays of peace, soon they will go back to their great play, manslaying and war. Thus it is; and we are set here among them. But we need not assent. if we love Numenor also, let us enjoy it before they ruin it. We also are daughters of the great, and we have wills and courage of our own. Therefore do not bend, Ancalime! Once bend a little and they will bend you further until you are bowed down. Sink your roots into the rock, and face the wind, though it blow away all your leaves.
from the teaching of Queen Erendis to her daughter Ancalime who became the first Ruling Queen of Numenor, excerpted form 'The Mariner's Wife' in Unfinished Tales.
That quote is from http://greenbooks.theonering.net/guest/files/040101_02.html, this awesome article. You can read more about Mr. Tolkien's languages at [http://www.uib.no/people/hnohf/] Ardalambion.
Hey cool, I found this great game called Go! Go! Go! It took me a while to learn the rules, but once I did it was tons of fun! Playing with fellow Tyrannians is neat too. My favorite player is Uggsul. I got a silver trophy for beating her! Here's how you play it. The object is to get rid of all your cards. There's a stack of cards in the middle, and you can only put down cards that are higher. (There's some other rules too, but I'll get to it.) You have three sets of cards. First there's your "hand" -- I call it a hoof -- and you have to play any cards in that set first, no matter what. If you clear your hand, there's the second set of "face up" cards. You see everyone else's face up cards and they see yours. Face ups have to be played one at a time. Then after you clear the face ups, there's the really super secret cards, the "face down" cards. Even you don't know what they are! You just have to put them down and hope.
What makes the game cool is clearing and picking up the pile. If you can't put a card down, you have to pick up the pile and that goes in your hand again. The good news is if you pick up the pile because you tried to play from the "face up" pile you also free the lowest card; from the "face down" pile you free the card you tried to play. If you clear the pile, then all those cards in the stack disappear. Sounds simple so far, but then there are all these combinations:
| Ace | High |
| Two | Wild |
| Three | Next card must be odd |
| Four | Next card must be even |
| Ten | Clears the stack! |
Complete a suit
(four of a kind in the *current stack*) | Clears the stack! |
Does that make sense? It takes a lot of luck and stuff like card-tracking to win at Go! Go! Go! but since I'm so great at finding food, I'm a natural.

Oh yeah! I have three big brothers and one sister and three little brothers! My sister Stars lives with me and helps me out. Most of the time I watch my two little brothers, Terriermon and YamiYugi. Stars is a blue Blumaroo and her job is to take care of The Satin Collection. She's new to the family too, but she's older than Aussie. I like Aussie, he's a green Zafara! We were the youngest so we play together a lot. I think he likes food as much as I do. Our new youngest brother is Amstam! Ams for short. We go to concerts together, and yak about books while we get our hooves shined. My two oldest brothers are named Anthur and Abette. You know what? Anthur and I are the only ones hatched by our owner. Everyone else is from the adoption agency! Anthur is also over a year older than me. Wow, that's a lot of hours. (Stars told me all that; she's also the family historian.)
Anyway, that's about all there is to know about me! I'm very new to Neopia, so I hope satin_gal and Star will take me around. I can't wait to see what's going on!
