Qhwi's Hide-Away .

. A shadowy Kougress lay on a tree branch in the hot, misty jungle. A stream is trickling below her. Suddenly, her huge emerald green eyes turn towards you and she leaps off of the branch. "Hello," She says in a deep, but comforting voice. "I guess you came to learn about me? Here's my story. . I was born in the jungles of Mystery Island. I was a rambunctious cub, and always strayed from my siblings. One day, I decided to go on an adventure. I wanted to jump into the huge lake below the Rushing Falls, near where I lived. I climbed up the ledge, my small, pudgy paws slipping on some rocks along the way. Finally, I made it to the top of the huge cliff. I saw the lake below me and heard the rushing of the Falls calling to me. (I always had a strange thing with water) A great courage built up inside of me that day, for I jumped off the cliff ledge and landed in the lake. The cold water swirled all around me. I could feel it silently whispering to me, but the waves were to high and the water too icy. I couldn't move and I let the water take its path... The water must have carried my for hours, for when I awoke, I was laying on the southern beaches of Mystery Island, not the Northern, from which I came. It was night. A dark, cool night. I stumbled onto shore and saw a light in the deep midnight sky. It belonged to a Neohome where a young girl and her Poogle lived. I was so weak and barely got onto the doorstep. Then, I fell asleep, right on the steps to the cozy island hut. The morning after that night was bright and the sun was warm. I peeked from my little eyes as I heard a door opening. The young girl who lived in the hut came out and scooped me in her arms. She was so warm and I liked her scent. It was very friendly and felt nice against my chilled cheeks. She brought me inside and layed me down on her big, warm bed. She prepared some soup for me and nursed me back to health. River, as I learned to call her, has taken care of me ever since that day. We even tried to find my family once, but my family had been gone long before. Thats my story... I know, a little boring, but thanks if you read all of it! Now, to my family. .

This is my youger sister Draveni. She is the third oldest in the family and was adopted from The Neopian Orphanage. She loves to read and she especially loves the ocean. If it where up to her, she would live in the ocean or on it. She helps me through tough times and cares for everyone if they are sick.

This is GRAINKY, River's first pet and my older brother. He is the only male in the family and was also adopted from The Neopian Orphanage, but as a green Poogle. River saved for a long time for his paintbrush and I think it looks great on him. He was there when I first stumbled upon our hut and will always be there for me.

This is Arcauns, the youngest of the family. She too, was adopted from the Neopian Orphanage. She is a very curious cub, much like myself when I was that young. One of her favorite past-times is chasing her hyperactive Karren, Ouija about the Neohome. River doesnt like it, but I think it's quiet funny. . Okay, Okay. Enough about my family. They're great, but this page is all about me! *devilish grin* Likes ^_^ I take great pride in my teeth and brush them three times a day!

My Beloved Petpet

I found Kaa one day when I was exploring the Eastern jungles of Mystery Island. He was coiled up in a tree branch that was getting ready to lay on. He was just a few minutes old and was so tiny I almost sat on him! Just before I got ready to lay down I heard a soft hiss from below me. I jumped up and there he was. He slithered up my forarm and coiled around my neck. River was very pleased to see him when I brought him home. She had a soft spot for snakes and I named him after her 5 foot Albino Corn Snake, that died when she moved to Mystery Island. Kaa has grown alot since the day I found him, but he has grown in other ways than his length. He grew on my heart. That's all for me!
