Welcome to Oriau Arian, guest.
You are here now as a recruit to the United Nations army. The world has come under siege by the Darkines. These Darkines are a society of evil creatures, creatures that we all thought only existed in nightmares and stories. Everything about science and the universe that you've ever known, it's all destroyed by what is happening here. They come at us now, in hopes of taking over the world to create chaos and pain amongst the humans. It's what they live for.
Civilians don't know about the war yet. Instead, the Viator Project was created by the United Nations leaders to create an effective defense against these creatures. It was a old discovery that highlighted a string of humans whose DNA's held mutations that allowed them to wield special Gifts of powers and abilities that were idolized by comic books and other stories. The problem was that this "species" of people, otherwise known as Gifteds, were a near to extinct population, with no proven Gifteds living today. That's when a new idea was created.
It began with the creation of the Time Machine. Scientists found a way to warp time and space and transport people from the past to the present. The only problem was that in trying to transport healthy, strong people, their minds were destroyed by the transport and they inevitably died. They found out that the only people they could transport were the weak, the close to dead. So they did intense research and found a collection of Gifteds who'd all died of unnatural reasons, meaning it was neither old age nor illness that took them. So then, the scientists used their machine to grab these Gifteds in the moments before their deaths, the moment during which it was safe for them to be transported through time. Hard to understand? Here's an example:
A Gifted named Jane gets attacked by a robber in the year 1945. The robber stabs her and then runs off, leaving her to die on the street. Just as Jane is bleeding out and she's about to die, the Time Machine grabs her and takes her to the future (or the present in our case). Kezia, a Gifted whose power is to heal, then grabs Jane and heals her wounds, therefore saving her life. A successful transportation has been made and Jane is now healthy to live out the rest of her life in the year 2012.
These Gifteds that have been transported to the year 2012 are given the title Clepsydra Viators (latin for "Hourglass Travellers"), or Viators for short. They are put into special training, in which they learn to control their abilities and how to expand their powers, as well as the typical training of a soldier which includes weapon and protocol intelligence. It's obviously a new experience for many of the Gifteds who had different lives before. There are some who even break free from it all, and become Rogues.
The Viators are trained everyday, and they go on missions every now and then, helping to fight back the Darkines while protecting the civilian world. However, since a lot of the Viators are still young teenagers, they are made to go to school. This is mostly an attempt to keep the Darkines from getting suspicious of their true identities and their inhabiting area. Yet, this is also because these Gifteds are now a part of the modern world. They must learn about today if they want to have a life in this new century.
So now that you know what we're about, it's time you learned where they live. The Viators are housed deep in a forest in an abandoned mansion we call the Clepsydra House, or hotel more like. Each Viator has an assigned room throughout the second floor. The third floor is full of rooms used by the government and the Project people. The forest that hides the house surrounds the city, and provides good cover from any possible Darkine attacks.

The only method of getting to our home is through a trail/road that cuts through the forest from a lonely part of the city. It's long and narrow, and is mostly ignored by the humans.
The Clepsydra house is a couple hundred years old. It seems to have, at one point, been the home of some wealthy noble. Then during the year 1918, when America entered the WWI, it was turned into a military hospital. After the war ended, the house went up for auction. It was later turned into a hotel, but abandoned again sometime during the 90s. The information on the house has been all but erased. It's kept well enough off the charts so to keep it hidden from the Darkines.
Despite is crumbling exterior appearance, don't judge a book by it's cover. The government has remodeled the inside to create a more comfortable and homey environment for us. With newly painted walls, added modern furniture and entertainment, and even new mattresses to the old beds left behind.

The entire second floor is dedicated to housing the Viators. There are about 20 rooms, and it's all basically like a hotel. Each room looks the same:
Of course, the government folk also have their own rooms throughout the third floor of the mansion. The third floor is where the time machine is located, as well as the mini hospital, the systems room, and other official rooms.

The control room:
The hospital room:
and The Time Machine:
As for the training areas, we have three.
The first is a building all by itself, just behind the main building. We call it the Green Room, because the door is Green. It's used mostly used for simple training that doesn't need a lot of space.
The second is called the Fighting Stage. This is were we practice one-on-one combat and have our house meetings. It's located on the east side of the mansion.
The third is the meadow. Here we practice flight, elemental control, and anything that needs a lot of space. The meadow has also become the main place to hang out.
The river that cuts near the far end of the meadow is also used for aquatic training occasionally, such as for those with the elemental for water and aquatic shifters.
On the opposite side of the river we have a small wooden cottage we call the Black Room. This is basically our time out room. When not in use, it's also our hangout room.
As for any sudden need to evacuate, we have the Underground Hideout. The entrance is a trap door built into the wooden floor of the basement, right at the center of the fighting stage. No one but the Viator leaders know about this secret safe place. The Underground Hideout is a narrow hall with 10 rooms, 5 on each side. Each room has a bed and emergency kits. The hall opens out to a dirt exit somewhere at the edge of the meadow, in case they have to evacuate the Hideout too.
As for the empty attic, its empty except for a single chair facing a window and a couple boxes holding the belongings of some of the house members. No one really goes up here, except for the few...lovebirds looking for a private place.
and thats the end of the house tour.
