I will now attempt to go over some key
concepts in battling, we'll cover Faerie Abilities, Boosts and a
guide to battling round for round.Faerie
Abilities
These can be one of the most important factors in
helping you win a battle, some will heal some will block damage
done by different icons, others create items, some even freeze
your opponent. I will make suggestions on abilities that I have
found most useful, maybe you can even see an ability that maybe
useful that I don't mention, remember this is just a guide and
in no way set in stone.
Faerie abilities go according to your pets level so
your pet will have to be at least that level to gain that
ability e.g. your pet must be at least level 30 to get Dark
Faerie Ability Sink. Sink & Burrow are probably 2 of the most
important to get as a new battler, here are the abilities that
are most useful that different faeries will give:

Boosts
What are boosts? Boosts are how we
work out how much damage you will do or block, at specific stat
levels your multiplier for damage & blocking will change below
is a table of these stat levels.

Stance Multipliers
Stance multipliers will change the amount of damage
done, examples of these are Fierce Attack, Jump Attack etc. N.B.
Stance multiplier will only work as long as your pet has Power
left otherwise your pet will always use Cautious Attack no
matter what you select. Also note that what ever stance you use
also affects the damage your opponent will do, so if you use
Fierce Attack your opponents damage will also be multiplied by
1.4 likewise if your opponent uses Fierce Attack both your and
their damage will be multiplied by 1.4, to add to this the
effect is cumulative so if both you and your opponent both use
Fierce Attack damage will be multiplied by 1.4 and then again by
1.4

We can now work out how much damage
you may do in any given round, this can be an important tool
which allows you to calculate damage at critical moments in a
battle, following is an example with some of the weapons listed
in this guide, let us say your strength is 13, you decide to use
2 Scarab Rings with Fierce Attack stance, your opponent also
uses Fierce Attack stance. How much damage will you do?

Battling Round For Round
I will supply a little round by round guide that will
work for most battles, this of course will only work if you
fight an opponent that is not too much more stronger than you,
its unlikely that snowager would be appropriate to fight if
you're just starting out.
