Come on in and sit down. Sorry, is it a little warm for you? I do like to keep it pretty toasty around here.

My name is Ophelia_H and, if you have the time I could tell you all about me: my story, my family, my gallery and all that kind of stuff.

First of all, my story. I am a fiery blumaroo - NOT a Fire, Fire, Your Pants on Fire blumaroo. I really don't know much about my biological family as I was found at the foot of the Fire Faerie Volcano. Roooof and Petrov were exploring when a terrible thunderstorm began, forcing them to find a way home before they ended up ill. Pretty soon they were soaked through, not to mention completely lost, and so Roooof decided that they should find some shelter to wait out the rain. Huddled together under a ledge trying to keep warm, they were beginning to dry out when Petrov noticed a damp bundle of rags partially hidden beneath a fallen boulder. Thinking the cloth would provide some much needed extra layers Roooof got him to raise up the end of the rock so she could pull the bundle free. Imagine her surprise when she realised that inside was me! A tiny baby blumaroo, with a coat unlike any neopet she'd seen before.

She was so gobsmacked that for a full 5 minutes (so I'm told) all Roooof said was "huh? what? uh? huh?" Once she regained the power of speech she and Petrov had to decide what to do next. The only clue to my identity was hanging around my neck in the form of a strange amulet. As it had a fire motif, they decided that once the storm was over they would carry me to the house of the Fire Faerie to see if she could help them discover more of my story.

The climb to the Fire Faerie's home was long and difficult. Eventually a HUGE mansion came into view, perched high on a cloud above the volcano. Once at the summit they had to climb an incredible copper coloured bridge to reach the house; Roooof discovered then that Petrov wasn't entirely comfortable with heights, snort. The house at the top was beautiful with a golden roof that caught the sunlight till it seemed as though there were flames caught under the metals surface. As Roooof approached the house the Fire Faerie herself appeared at the door, once she'd been convinced we weren't selling anything she invited us to chat over some delicious Fancy Faerie Floats.

However she couldn't help Roooof and Petrov find out where I came from. All she knew was that the amulet was an ancient relic passed down to the sole fiery blumaroo in each generation. It was said that the amulet could be used in times of great need when she could summon forth great power to aid the forces of good. But the legend of the Fiery Amulet was old and the Fire Faerie warned them that the Faerie Queen's historians had never recorded it working. She then settled down to tell them about the fiery blumaroos.

According to the Fire Faerie in each generation of a particular blumaroo community there would be a few who looked like me, with coats containing all the coppers, reds and oranges found in a fire. Rare as the fiery colour was it was even rarer to find a girl with this colour, there was normally only one and so she would be entrusted with the amulet! Upon hearing this Roooof asked where she could find this village as surely there she could find my family. But the faerie shook her head sadly, the village had been destroyed and its inhabitants scattered across Neopia. She could only think that I had been left with the amulet because it was too dangerous for me too stay with my family, "...as I know," she said, "they wouldn't have abandoned the fiery blumaroo or the amulet unless it was absolutely neccessary." But the question still remained, what should be done with me? Roooof and Petrov knew they could not leave me if there was any chance I was in danger so the Fire Faerie entrusted me to their care. They took me home where I meet Roooof's other pet, Lil_devil222.

I still don't know the secret of the amulet, or where my biological family is. I do know my real family though, it's right here with Roooof, Petrov and all of my other siblings, and I'm happy to be a part of it!

Roooof (or Ruth or Ruthie or Roof or ...) has been on Neopets since the 16th of October, 2000 and currently has four accounts in order to hold all her galleries along with the shop we use to help maintain them. Roooof is currently at college so sometimes during term time she isn't able to be here as often but she makes sure everyone is booked into the Neolodge when things are getting really hectic for her.

Bow down to the King of the NAE Faerie Festival! Although he is a little lazy, Petrov is always there when I need him and he's REALLY good to me. As Roooof's original pet he is very special to her, and she spent a loooong time saving up her neopoints to buy him a cloud paintbrush. As you can see, it was certainly worth it.

Petrov's rather memorable campaign speech sums him up rather well ...

This dashing and debonair gelert (at least in his mind) is a perfect fit, he spends much of his time in Faerieland (often lying pitifully by the healing springs after battles), adores faerie foods (and spooky foods and regular foods and well, foods), likes to go to the employment agency (and laugh at pets who have to work for a living, the lazy so-and-so), and loves the way his cloud pattern allows him to co-ordinate perfectly with Faerieland itself (meaning he can leap out on unsuspecting faeries, yell "BOO" and blend back into the landscape before they can curse him).

Petrov would also like to add he will devote his reign to World Peace (of course), bringing an end to world hunger, and, most importantly, to finding out if royal status is indeed the ultimate pick up line.

When Roooof decided the time was right for a second pet, she took Petrov to the Neopian Pound to find a new brother or sister. Seeing so many abandoned pets upset them both and at first they couldn't make a decision. But at the end of a long row of cages was a tiny red chomby, and the minute Petrov saw him he was determined not to let Roooof leave without him. A while later Roooof decided to paint Lil_devil brown, and I think he looks fantastic. Together with Petrov, Lil_devil222 looks after our green gallery, an increasingly difficult task as it grows.

Roooof found Henodtra in the pound after she became part of the NAE Outreach Program. His previous experiences as an abandoned pet are put to good use as he looks after each outreach pet that we foster. Roooof and Henodtra adopt unwanted pets for a minimum of two weeks, the adoptees are zapped daily at the lab, trained, read to and played with in order to boost their stats in order to make them more attractive to would-be owners. Henodtra also looks after Roooof's cake gallery - he is after all the only one of us pets without a sweet tooth so she knows her collection is safe.

When Roooof adopted _Fitzwilliam_ she didn't go to the pound, instead we went to Create A Pet, Inc. in Neopia Central. That was where Petrov had come from and Lil_devil222 and I were curious to see it. Roooof answered a few questions about the type of pet she wanted and, just a few minutes later, an assistant brought out an adorable baby lupe. Later Roooof went out and bought him a shadow paintbrush which I think looks incredibly dignified. That fits _Fitzwilliam_'s personality very well, responsible for Roooof's shop he is in charge of the money and of most of our gallery purchases, he is a very intense and intelligent lupe. Once the fiery gallery is closer to completion, he would like to try for the Book Club award.

Berairon was adopted from the pound just like lil_devil222 and Henodtra. At the time his coat was green and Roooof promised that she would allow him to choose a new colour provided it wasn't too expensive. After a lot of negotiating they settled on silver. Berairon loves food and Roooof thinks that, if we had the money, he would be perfect for the Gourmet Club. Unfortunately we don't have those kinds of resources and so, "poor" Berairon has to stick to ordinary food like the rest of us. I'm hoping in time his pride will heal, preferably soon, as all the whining is getting very annoying.

_georgiana_ is the latest addition to the family and we all tend to spoil our beautiful baby sister. Born on Cybunny Day she was originally blue but we all wanted to give her a more distinctive look. As _georgiana_ lives on the roofs_bank account with _Fitzwilliam_ and Berairon we decided to continue the monochromatic theme Roooof had unintentionally created, and so we decided on skunk. Georgie (as we all call her) is one of the sweetest neopets you'll ever meet, she loves to have books read to her and so every night _Fitzwilliam_ lulls her to sleep with her favourite book, Patter Feet. Her love of fiction suits her well, she was actually named after a character in Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, a character who incidently has an older brother named Fitzwilliam. Despite her young age _georgiana_ is determined to help Roooof out whenever she can and so she has recently taken over the responsibility for the collection of hats Roooof keeps in her main shop.
