My Little Humble Home

Welcome guest, to my humble home.

Mom has asked me to tell my guests this before they can hear my story: No Sticky Paws!!! Art Thieves will be reported after one warning by my mom: sweetmysticnight

I know it's not much, but I like to call it my little place of paradise. Well I guess the reason you came here was to learn a little bit about me and what I do around here. The beginning of my story is a bit sad, so be forwarned.

I came from a very large family. I had five brothers and seven sisters. We lived in a little burrow next to the rainbow pool. I loved to go off by myself and watch the other kinds of animals get painted and sometimes if I was lucky I got to watch a transformation or two.

Then one fine spring day while I was doing my pool watching I heard strange noices coming from the direction of my home. I hopped as quickly as I could back to the burrow only to find a horrible sight. It seems a group of Grarrls that had been recently to the pool and were on their way back to their cave had come across some of my siblings playing tag. This seems to have excited the hungry Grarrls and they were trying to catch a couple of my sibs for a pre-dinner snack.

Not knowing quite what to do I ran away and hide in a stand of trees far from the chaos. After a bit of time had passed and I could no longer hear screaming and growling, I made my way cautiously back home in the darkness.

As I got closer and closer I couldn't help but notice all the torn up grass, trees and bushes that make up the vegitation around our home. I strained to hear every sound and turned my head in every direction before I determined it was safe to come out from under cover and cross the open ground to the burrow.

With a burst of fear filled speed, I made my way swiftly to the front entrance and ran inside. As I tried to catch my breath and listen for any signs of being spotted, the truth of what met my eyes didn't register for a couple of seconds. Once I realized what I saw, my breath stopped entirely.

The only thing that had survived from the attack was the entrance to the den. A wall of solid dirt from the ceiling collapsing from the weight of the grarrls was all that greeted me when I turned to make my way deeper into the hole.

I called for my family as loud as I could but silence was my only answer. I tried to dig my way in, but the more dirt I removed with my little paws the more cascaded down from above. I cried myself to sleep that night as I slept on the cold, hard floor at the entrance to my home. The next morning is when my new mother found me.

It seems that my new mother had been visiting the rainbow pool and was trying to decide what type of creature to adopt and what color to make it. She didn't have a pet yet and was brand new to this world. It was by chance that as she was walking away from the pool, she heard the final noices of the battle and rushed as quickly as she could to give aid.

When she came upon the battle field, both of my parents had being taken away by the grarrls and there was no sign of my brothers and sisters. With tears in her eyes and a heavy heart my mother went to find someone to tell the aweful news to.

The next morning she came back to the scene to see if their were any survivors. After a bit of searching she noticed a large depression in the side of a hill and went to check it out. Fearing something might be trapped under the dirt she quickly found the entrance and started feeling around. That is when her hand bumped into something soft and fuzzy. She reached her other arm into the hole and pulled my sleeping form from the ground.

My new mother told me what happened and when I asked her about my siblings she told me I was the only one. After I had finished crying in her arms she asked me if I would like to be her first pet. I happily agreed and with happy hearts and tears in our eyes she hugged me and off we went to get registered.

In the beginning it was really tough. My mom didn't have very many neopoints and she wasn't sure quite how to get them or where things were. I had to show her around for a while, but that's okay because we got to know each other and we learned together.

After mom started getting the hang of things she started making all kinds of money and then the toys started rolling in. I love toys so very very much. My favorites are:

I know my taste in toys is a bit expensive, but mom said she didn't mind getting me nice things after helping her. Fortunately this did not include food.

Mom in the beginning was only able to get me really cheap food, but as she started to get wealthy she tried to feed me better stuff. I was so used to eating omelettes and apples that I was getting sick from the richer items and so we both agreed that we would stick with the foods I like best of all:

I will admit that we did try for the gourmet food club, but I was so sick after the first couple of days that mom decided she would rather have me well then win some stupid trophy for the cabinet. I hugged my mom so tightly around the neck when she told me this, that she turned a really cool shade of purple, but after getting her breath back she asked me to hug her leg if I needed to hug her that hard again.

Me and mom have had some really fun times together. She started to buy me weapons so that way I could begin fighting in the battledome. My really good friend

Hammarubi

is the one that helped me gain experience and confidence before I could start fighting other peoples pets. I also got a lot of experience from the single opponent pets. My favorite weapons to use now are:

Sometimes when I was off in the training school or just running around with my friend, mom would sit back and read when she wasn't making money or playing a game.

One rainy day I approached mom and asked her why she reads so much. She told me that it makes a person smarter. I asked her if I could be smarter too, well after a really long hug she took me to the book store and let me pick out my very first book.

I am proud to say that I love to read and yes, it does make you smarter. We have been trying for a Neopian Book Award trophy for my cabinet, but mom said that it's not important to read all the books you can, but to learn what is in them. My most favorite books I have read are:

After a couple of months mom decided I needed a sibling to keep me company. I happily agreed to this and so we made a journey to the rainbow pool. I was really wanting a sister and preferably the same species, but mom said we should try other kind since it will give us a new experience.

We finally decided on a Shoyru. I tried to talk my mom out of a boy, but she insisted. So now I was to have a new baby brother. We came up with the name Antarras and mom really liked the disco color. So after she picked out my brother we took him to the rainbow pool and got him colored. I must say that he turned out really nice. GUESS WHAT!!! Antarras went on an adventure without me and now he's a cross between a Peophin and a Draik.

Antarras is a blast to play with. He is always ready for fun and he loves to read as much as I do. So when I find a book I don't like I can usually give it to him.

Antarras is the white one in the picture frame below:

Now my second brother Graephus came to us a little differently. He is the second one in the picture frame. Mom had just finished collecting all the map pieces for the Secret Lab and she wanted to use them. Well she didn't have the heart to make one of us a lab rat so she decided to go and visit the pound to see if an abandoned pet would agree to the experiment.

I think it's aweful that someone would spend the time to pick out a species, then a color and a name... and then just throw them away. It's an aweful thing to do to a creature that just wants to be loved and played with. I am so proud of mother for going to the pound to rescue a lonely pet.

Mom made Antarras and I stay over at Ham's house while she went to pick out our new sibling. She told us it was too heart breaking to see all those abandoned pets and she didn't want us thinking she would do something like that to us. We wished our mother luck and went off to play.

The next morning mom came to pick us up and when we arrived at our home we had a new sibling. Antarras and I were so happy that we jumped for joy, did cartwheels and dogpiled on our poor new sister. Greaphus is her name and she at that time was a green Eryie. She is a very happy go lucky type of creature, that loves to try new things and never turns down a challenge from anything or anyone. I was very happy to have her with us. Mom told us on the way over to not ask about her past. She was now a member of our family and we should do everything we could to make her feel like one of us.

It has been very cool watching her go to the lab ray every day. We used to keep track of all the different things it did to her but after a few months we just gave up. She will always be a girl to me, no matter how many times she changes I will always remeber her as a green Eryie.

After one year of going through the ray, mom asked my sister if she would like to be a perminate species after being changed by the ray so much. Mom was proud of the way she kept her good humor up and accepted her fate with the ray. My sister went to the pool every day to try and decide then one day she told mom she wanted to be a Krawk but she wanted us to choose the color. There was so many colors to choose from that we didn't know what to pick. But in the end we decided on the skunk color, only because we liked the blend and style. Mom changed her with a potion and my brother and I got to paint her with the brush. It was the happiest moment for us all. But now this left mom with a lab ray without a pet to zap. Back to the pound mom went.

SOON TO BE CONTINUED!!!!!
