Mystery Island
Tour-Guide

Introduction
You're walking through the thick jungles of Mystery Island with a few friends, when one of them complains that they'd rather be somewhere else. "There's nothing to do on Mystery Island!" they exclaim.
Pardon?" Everyone looks ahead at the voice, and you see a beautiful white peophin with island markings staring aghast at your group. "Did someone just say there is nothing to do here? Pardon my boldness, but you're very mistaken." She softly clears her throat before continuing. "This island has more to it than what first meets the eye. You'd be surprised at how much there really is here. Allow me to inform you.

Island History
This island was one of the very first alternate worlds in neopia. Naturally, this means it has a very large history.

Did you know that when Mystery Island was first discovered, you needed a special totem to enter? In order to obtain one of these totems, you had to sign up with one of neopia's sponsors.

As you can see, Mystery Island has changed a lot since it was discovered.

Before

After

Being the first alternate world in neopia, Mystery Island was flooded with tourists for awhile. But now that there are so many other places to visit, it has become very quiet here. I still feel it's the best place to go, though.

Places to Go

The first thing you should do is go to the beach. Mystery Island has an absolutely beautiful coastline. The sand here is very fine and soft. Why not go for a swim or build a sandcastle?
The Training School would be a good place to visit if you're interested in battling. You can enroll in a variety of courses for a codestone or two.
Brave the climb to the top of this volcano with a bunch of codestones and you may come back with a valuable red codestone!
If you're feeling brave, you may consider paying a visit to the lost city of Geraptiku. This city was recently discovered, so there are many new things to explore there.

People to See
The Island Mystic will tell you a fortune every day. He's a little strange, but it's fun to get your fortune told!
The Haiku Kougra is another strange neopian you should visit. The haiku's here are puzzling, indeed.
Jhuidah the island faerie is another must-meet. She may even let you use her cooking pot to make some valuable items!

Things to Do
For only 50 neopoints, you and one of your pets can go on a tour of the island. Not a bad idea if your pet's feeling bored!
Wanna buy some souverneirs? Why not stop at the Tiki Tack and buy something there! (Shh...you didn't here this from me...but most of the stuff there can be found on the wiz for less than 5 np!)
Up to playing a puzzle game? Why not give Gadgadsgame a try? This game is in honor of our annual fruit festival, Gadgadsbogen!
Or maybe a bit of volleyball is more your thing? You'll have to get those Mynci's away from the net, though....
Visit the Tombola once a day, and you may win something neat!
If your up for a bit of treasure hunting, feel free to pay the deserted tomb a visit. Though...you may be lucky to make it out alive...

Special Events
Gadgadsbogen, the Mystery Island festival of fruit, falls during the month of Running. We celebrate the ripening of fruit here, as that is our main source of food on the island.

About Me
Oh, you want to know more about me? Aw, aren't you a sweety! How rude it was for me not to introduce myself earlier. My name is Marihn, and I am an island peophin (at least, I will be soon, my owners working on getting me a potion). I was created on April 19'th, 2005, and I love my owner.

~Family~
I'm part of a very large family, mostly peophins. Perhaps you've heard of some of my adopted siblings?

Charm is probably the most popular of all my siblings. Unlike most Peophins, he has four legs. He's also the strongest of all of us, as he and my owner train at the Mystery Island training school most of the time.
Zel is the smart one of the group (She's a princess, ya know!). She loves dancing. You can find peophin adoptables on her page, if you'd like one.
Kunnu isn't grey yet, but he will be someday. Ever since my owner adopted him from the pound, he's been down in the dumps. I don't know why he isn't happy that he was adopted, but hey, what can you do?
Satsuwky as another rescue-case. ^^ My owner found him in the neopian pound and took him in. He's quite the angry little fellow, and he says that he's a descendant of the great peophin, Daedelon.
