Before I will just give out
my pets, there are some rules that you have to follow
for your applications. They are very simple, so please
just take the time to read them.

THE RULES

RULE 1
You must have been playing
Neopets for at least 4 months, and the account that
you want to adopt the pet on must be over 4 months
old. This lets me know that you will not take my pet
and then stop playing the next week, and also follows
the restrictions on adopting painted pets.

RULE 2
Send all applications to the
account basicallygenius ONLY with the
subject line "Application for ______" . Replace the
line with the name of the pet you are applying for.
Once you have sent it, check the pet's lookup for
updates. If you made a webpage application, do not
delete it until I have chosen the pet's new owner. I
still need to look at it. If you have any questions
about my rules or anything else, feel free to neomail
me at the account basicallygenius ONLY.

RULE 3
Make sure you know about the
pet you are applying for. They have a name, and are
either a boy or a girl. Not an "it". But feel free to
make up your own nicknames, personalities and anything
else you would like.

RULE 4
Please list ALL your accounts
that you have on neopets. Old ones, side ones, main
ones, guild ones. ALL OF THEM. I want to get to know
you and why you play Neopets. Inactive or frozen
accounts will not disqualify you, but please explain
why you no longer use them, or why you got frozen.
Sometimes accidents happen.

RULE 5
By applying for one of my pets,
you agree that you will keep them for life, and not
abandon them, send them to the lab ray
or re-foster them yourself. If you do not want
the pet anymore, or are leaving Neopets, I will take
them back and find a home myself.

RULE 6
NO CHATSPEAK. I can't stand it.

RULE 7
To show that you have read my
rules, please creatively use the word Ragamuffin in
your application somewhere.

SOME APPLICATION TIPS

TIP 1.
Be CREATIVE!
Show me why you want my foster! Show some art, write a
story, create them a personality. Show me toys or
items you have waiting for them, a neohome room you've
made for them, or a poem you've written about them.
Tell me what you want to do with the pet.

TIP 2.
Tell me a bit about yourself. I
want to know the person who is going to get my baby!
Why you want the pet, what attracted you to this one,
what you do in your spare time. Don't write me your
life story though. :P

TIP 3.
Tell me something about your
other pets. I love to hear what people have to say
about their other pets and my pets future siblings.

TIP 4.
If you want some help with your
application, try the evaluators at Billopan.com.
They'll give you some tips to make it stand out.

This section is for foster pets that are ready and willing
to go to a new home. In other words, they are up for
adoption! Please make sure you read and understand the
rules before applying.
