Coming soon Suggested Collateral, and Pet Lending.

omg collateral

This guide will cover exactly what collateral is, why people use it, tips on what kind of collateral is appropriate, and anything else I can think of or people suggest to do with collateral, to help you out. If you're unfamiliar with the ways of the avatar chat and are trying to lend or be lent avatar items, it will help to read this guide. If you have a specific question or a suggestion for the page, you can always neomail me. Please try to bear in mind that I am not trying to STOP people from asking to be lent for free or low collateral, or trying to STOP people from lending for free or low. A note that the word 'safe' in this means there is no risk, I am NOT saying that you WILL be scammed if you do it unsafely, but unless you can read minds through your computer, a risk is a risk and you might be if you don't do it 'safely'. See, there. I am explaining everything so that they know the risks and if they choose to take them that is not my business, but people being tricked into scams is something I think is worth trying to stop.
This is not an extensive list of scams, only a guide to do with avatar lending (a specific one) - for an extensive list of scams to avoid on neopets in general, please do take the time to read this page at some point.
If you're going to send me angry mail to this effect, please sent it to my side account, meanietaye, as I will not reply either way and I don't want you clogging up my inbox again.

*what is collateral?

Collateral in this case (borrowing avatar items) is items and/or NeoPoints adding up to the same value as the item being borrowed. Eg. if an item is worth 1,000,000 np (1m) it would be 1,000,000 NP in pure, 1,000,000 NP in items, or a combination (800,000 in NP, 200,000 in items etc.).
Some terms:
k is thousands. (800k = 800,000)
m is millions. (2m = 2,000,000)
pure is in NeoPoints like you store in your bank.

HTS is hard to sell, so generally sells for less than what it is 'worth'.
ETS is easy to sell, so generally sells for the full price of what it is 'worth'.

*why is collateral used?

Collateral is used to make lending 'safe' from anyone stealing from anyone. It is like buying and selling the item, only without the hassle of finding a seller and then finding a buyer. It means the borrower has earned the item, and the lender does not need to worry about the borrower running off with the item, because they have an equal amount in NeoPoints/items that if the person did, they could just buy a new one, and the borrower would not have made a profit.

To quote Blitz:
I see so many people who think they deserve to be lent items based on the fact they are "trustworthy".
As far as I know there is no avatar you get for being trustworthy so could you people please just earn your own items/collateral.

That is a pretty good explanation of why being trustworthy is not a reason to be lent an item for free, earning the item is a reason to get the avatar. :)

Usually collateral is offered through the trading post, or through auctions if it is only pure neopoints. It is the only way to safely borrow and lend.

*scams involved

here are a lot of scams floating around the borrowing and lending scheme, I've tried to list all that I know which are specifically to do with borrowing and lending but the list may be incomplete. If you know a scam which is to do with borrowing and/or lending which I have not listed, please Neomail me and explain it so I can put it up ASAP! Thanks!

001. The Double Trade Scam: bid 800k on the faerie queen doll and 800k on this axe shrub and I'll accept both and we can trade back! .

The double trade scam is so easy to spot, and yet so many people fall for it simply because they are greedy. Usually it will be if the person borrowing only has pure NeoPoints as collateral as only 800,000 pure can be bidded on a trade, but people can also call it something to do with 'good faith' or 'trust'. They will ask you to bid a certain amount of collateral on something which is worth absolutely nothing eg they will lend you MSPP {or something} if you bid 800k on their pile of dung, they will send it to you when the trust has been established or bid 800k on the item you would be borrowing and the remaining amount on something worth nothing. They simply accept the trade on the item with nothing, don't accept the trade on the item, and run off with the profits. Isn't that easy to avoid? Only bid on the item you are borrowing, do not bid masses of NeoPoints on junk thinking that you will be rewarded by being lent for full or low collateral, the chances are you will be scammed.

002. The Amazing Main, Poor Side Account Scam: my main account is zirr this is just my side could you please lend me (item) free? I would never scam, look at my main! .

This is also easy to spot and easy to avoid, no one need fall for it, but people do, I've yet to find out why. Someone can claim any account on Neopets is their main account but if their 'main' looks like the kind of account which would have full collateral that should set off alarm bells. If you would lend their main for free and are thinking of lending them, ask them to Neomail you or post from their main account to be sure. This will not guarantee that they are not a scammer but if you want to lend them, this is a basic check. I personally advise to not lend anyone anything for less than full collateral.

003. The 'Let me log in and get it for you!' scam: I don't know if I can trust you yet so let me log in to your account and send it over, get you the avatar, then send it back to my account! .

First off, you should never let anyone who is not yourself log in to your Neopets account, or tell them your secret word, or anything. TNT said that themselves. People do this to get eachother game avatars as well - don't be dragged down. They are cheaters. You should not be. :)
Apart from that small rant, this is also very easy to spot, very easy to avoid, just don't let anyone else ever log in to your account. If anyone asks for your word, don't give it to them. Voila.

004. The 'Lend me free/low' scam: I only have 400k collateral but I'm trustworthy and I would never steal honestly I have 346456 vouchers!

There are so many obvious problems here. First off, anyone can say they are trustworthy, someone intending to scam would say the exact same thing, as they wouldn't come out and say 'I'm not trustworthy', they try and trick people, so the whole trustworthy/never steal is useless.
Second, vouchers are completely useless. 99.9% of the time a voucher will not pay back what is stolen, and if they wont pay back what is stolen, what is the point of them being there? Random people vouch for people they don't know at all, plenty of people add their side accounts to it, and scammers can use huge vouchers lists of people who they've never even met to make themselves more 'trustworthy'. Remember, there is no avatar for being 'trustworthy', so it's all pointless. Unless someone gives over 100% of the collateral there is no guarantee.

This is a good page about vouchers! :* Read it!
Absolutely anyone can act friendly, absolutely anyone can reach 200 or whatever avatars. I advise never lending for less than 100% collateral, unless you do not mind losing the item.

005. The 'HTS Collateral' scam: I do have full collateral, look at these item prices on the Trading Post!

This one is a bit harder, because the people with HTS collateral may not be trying to scam. The fact is that HTS collateral wont be accepted by any lender who is careful, because while certain items are listed as say, 3 million on the Trading Post, they may not actually sell for anywhere near that price.
This is why the best collateral is ETS, in high demand. See, the scam with HTS collat is they run off and sell the avatar item for what it's worth, and the items they used as collateral cant be sold for anywhere near that, so the lender loses out on lots of nps. D:

005a. The Item Worth Scam: {insert item} is worth 900k, look it up on the trading post! .

Right, this isn't necessarily a lie, but do always look up items people are offering as collateral on both the trading post and the shop wizard. The items could be falsely inflated (ie actually worth 6k on the shop wizard, but people are lying and putting it for 900k on the trading post) especially if they're not commonly used as collateral or if you haven't heard of them. Try to always look up the prices yourself to be sure of what they're worth, and don't forget the shop wizard as well, especially if the item is unfamiliar to you. Most people will try and give you estimate prices just to be helpful - they're not trying to scam you just because they are giving you prices - but check these prices aren't a lie. I have added this as an extension to the HTS collateral scam as it is along the same lines, and people often do this with HTS items.

006. Hidden Tower Lending: I'll lend you 570k for the hidden tower avatar, you supply 30k and buy the baby paintbrush and send it to me or the other way around!
The thing with Hidden Tower lending is there's a lot of scams in both directions with it, and a lot of people have said that it's against the rules because the people are making profit even if they sell it for the same amount they lent and I have seen people get suspended for lending HT in a perfectly non-scammy way. My advice would be to avoid it entirely and if you're trying for the avatar maybe buy the Squezy Tombola Guy Toy for just over 100k if you don't want to save up 600k - more of a loss but much less risk of getting scammed.

007. Tipping, Combining Collateral, and Guild Tills: If you lend me Meowclops for 800k, I'll let you keep 400k!
That is an example of a tip, and it is against the rules for two reasons.

#1 People used it to scam like in the example above, that would tempt a lender to lend to the person for 800k, and then the person would run off with the Meowclops and make a very large profit.
#2 Lenders would demand very high tips (eg an 800k tip for borrowing a Faerie Queen Doll) in return for being lent their items. I think this one is a little less bad because people could just buy their own items but yeah.
For more information on tipping, visit here, here, and here and find the question on tips.

An artist may NOT request or accept a payment, tip, or "gift" in exchange for their artwork, and those seeking artwork may not offer payment, tips, or "gifts" for the service either. No profit can be made on any service like this, whether it be art trades, graphic or lookup making, avatar item lending , etc.

You have 800k, I have 800k, if we put our collateral together we can afford to borrow a FQD!

This was recently clarified as item pooling in an editorial here.
Two or more people cannot combine collateral. This is considered pooling and is against the rules comes directly from that editorial. It makes it pretty plain that it is against the rules, and item pools are against the rules because they are often scams so that one person gets all the items. Very simple.

{Avatar Guild Name Here} lending FQD, ZDAP and saving for a BGC! Guild Till: 1,646,852 donate in the donation shop!

There is an editorial where someone asks if a guild till is allowed for an Avatar Lending Library and the answer is NO. If your guild does this I'd be careful of it, it's here if you want to see it, and it says this:

Question: Last week you said "item pools," where people collect money to purchase avatar items, are illegal. I understand this and your reasons for disallowing it. My question: Is a Guild Avatar Item Lending Library considered an item pool? Our guild's Lending Library is stocked by direct item donations from guild members and by items purchased with funds collected by selling overpriced items at the guild's store. If this is not allowed, let us know and we'll stop! We all want to follow the rules here!
Answer: No, this is not allowed. Items pools are item pools, regardless if it is a group of strangers, friends, or guildmates doing it. We're very sorry, but please discontinue this practice! (It's not the answer you wanted, we're sure, but thank you for checking to make sure you were following the rules!)

For a more extensive list on all scams please visit this page! It's fabulous, and this page only covers very specific scams to do with borrowing and lending, there are plenty of other scams out there.

*cant get lent for low collateral?

The reason I haven't put 'free/low' in this section is no one should need to ask to be lent for free. Offering whatever you have - even if it's not full, or isn't a lot, is always better than offering nothing. Even if a lender then comes along, looks at your collateral, and lends you for free, it's better that you offered it. Everyone has something on their account.
Not offering what you do have though, makes you suspicious. If you're not willing to offer your own items against this avatar item, does that mean you don't intend on trading back? Because that is the only situation in which you wouldn't get your collateral back. I'm not saying free lending is morally wrong - but asking to be lent free, I think, is taking the mickey a bit. Even if you have 10,000 np and a codestone, that's better than nothing, and if that's all you had you could easily double it on your board where you're asking, just by playing a few games.

Try looking at this from a lenders point of view, what makes you different to everyone else asking for low, some of which are probably scammers? A lender is not psychic, they cant see inside your head.

So you have 200 avatars, a couple of painted pets, a handful of trophies, a shop, a guild, a semi-trained pet etc etc - a scammer could easily have all these things. People with masses of avatars and trophies and generally amazing accounts HAVE scammed in the past - it's not unheard of. It may be less likely if someone has put a lot of time & effort into an account, and they wont want to lose it, but it's not impossible, so a lender has every right to be careful. They saved and bought the item.
A lot of people say things like 'I'd never scam,' and 'I've been scammed before I'd never wish it on someone else,' and 'Scammers are stupid and evil!' and 'Scammers should go play in traffic,' and 'Who would really scam pixels?' etc while they are trying to be lent. Bear in mind, that if scammers didn't act like they thought all these things then there wouldn't be any problem with scammers because no one would lend them. Typing that out does not mean you wouldn't scam. You may actually know that you, yourself, would not scam - whether because you'd get frozen or because you'd feel sorry for the person you scammed, but the lender is not you and cant know these things, they cant tell you apart from the thousands of others who act exactly like you and have accounts that are exactly the same - and no collateral. Owning an avatar item does not make you a mind reader.
Making friends with a lender for the sake of being lent is something any scammer could also do - pretend to be all nice to them etc to gain their trust. Saying 'cant you get to know me?' isn't really convincing because of the fact that you could act fake because you'd know there was a reward at the end, see? Any scammer could do it.

How do I advise you get lent?

Well with that, good luck earning! ;)

*if you're lending for free or low collateral ..

There is a chance you will get scammed no matter how bulletproof or psychic you may think yourself - or even, the pant devil or grundo leader could pop up and you lose it that way on someone else's account. It can be beneficial for everyone if you know how to report the person properly so they cant scam anyone else, and don't use your item as a way to scam bigger items :x
IF YOU ARE SCAMMED, TNT WILL NOT RETURN YOUR STOLEN NEOPOINTS OR ITEMS.
BE VERY CLEAR ON THIS - HAVING THE PERFECT REPORT WILL NOT GET YOUR ITEM BACK, ALL TNT WILL DO WILL BE FREEZE THE PERSON

important update someone has brought to my attention that item ID numbers change when the item changes account. So there is no way for you to uniquely identify your item from anyone else's, so I have removed the section helping you to find your items ID# as it is a waste of your time, as this will change when it moves account.
Thankyou to the person who alerted me to this :)

If the person has selficed it may still be useful to report to TNT, just incase TNT can somehow trace the item.

I cant tell you who is a scammer and who is not, or how to choose who to trust, but there are some things that can help. Before you lend it's good idea not to be in the sort of mood where you might fuzz things up - say you just got the Scalawag av and you're really happy, you might just feel really generous and lend to everyone who asks, and that way you really are likely to get scammed.

While lending don't apologise for selecting lendees on your own requirements. If someone calls you 'unfair' for judging them because they have less than 200 avatars, point out that actually it's your item and if they wanted it that badly they could save up, and that it is up to you who you lend to and if you don't want to lend to anyone under 6 months or something then that is your choice. Don't let people guilt you into anything! Not to generalise but quite often scammers will use these tricks, 'I just got iced', or 'My hamster died' or 'My best friend scammed me' - don't fall for this, if you didn't want to lend the person don't be convinced by this.
Your gut instinct is amazing, if you have a gut feeling about a person don't feel judgemental or bad about it, you have that for a reason. You're risking your own items / np for these people so you have the right to be as fussy as you like, maybe even get some friends to help you decide {though don't rely on them only - if they say yes but your gut says no, they should understand that}.
If someone has all pure collateral, that's not your fault - if they want to go and buy some ETS it wont be much of a hassle to buy a baby paint brush (or a few - or more, or other paintbrushes) because the fact that they're ETS makes them easy to sell again - if the person doesn't want to do this then only count the collateral they'll be offering on your item - they could have 6m pure but if they're only offering 800k on your item then a fat lot of use the rest of it is to you.
I don't know if this helps but I've always done it when lending for low - taken down the trade number, screenied the trade, their offer, any neomails they sent promising to return it {I always ask them to post or mail a confirmation that they understand this is a lend and not a sale}, and anything else useful. Better to have too much than too little, and if they don't scam you can just delete these things.

Now if you don't get scammed - hoorah! If you have been scammed, the user has probably either blocked neomails or selficed. Sorry about that, you knew the risks though and hopefully aren't too cut up to have been lending - well, on to reporting and helping TNT out.
The report form is located here, that's the first thing you'll need. Then you'll need a detailed report. Write down exactly what happened, how much you lent them for, whether they confirmed it was just a lend, the trade number(s) if you took them down and include links to any screenshots you took if you decided to follow that tip. The more you provide, the clearer it will be for TNT and the easier for them to freeze the scammer.

I hope this helped, and I kind of hope you never have to use this form but if you do, I hope they get frozen quickly :)

Don't let anyone have a go at you for judging people by how they act or what is on their account. Anyone can just as easily act like they are not a scammer as get a good account. It's up to you which you judge on (probably a combination) but judging someone's account does not make you stupid, or unfair.

*popularity as collateral

The main point here is someone having a lot of friends does not mean they will not steal. I'm not against popularity, I don't care if you hate popularity, I don't want to hear it, because it's all completely stupid. Popularity happens everywhere, and everyone is popular within their own group. The sort of people who 'rant' about popularity are exactly the people who are being judgemental, rude, horrible, etc etc, all the things they say popular people are doing; judging people before they've even spoken to them. So DO NOT MAIL ME ABOUT POPULARITY. Thanks.

The fact is that people can make loads of friends, get lent loads of stuff, and then steal things. I even have a few examples (I obviously cannot put usernames because they're either frozen or changing a lot, and it would also be harassment, but the names will suffice):

Thankyou to who helped with this list, you know who you are ;)

All of these people made a lot of friends. A lot of people trusted them, and they got lent loads of things free so people would think they were trustworthy, and then they stole.
These are not the only people, there are plenty of people who aren't here, are still on the AC, and have stolen things, and people have forgiven them. I have only used the easiest and least argumentative examples. These clearly show that someone being popular or having lots of friends does not make them trustworthy; nor does a big list of vouchers, or things they have been lent free in the past.

A note: No, I'm not saying all popular people are scammers. The majority are nice people, or they wouldn't be popular / have loads of friends in the first place. The fact is, people should not trust based on popularity, they should trust based on COLLATERAL!!!
A note: I've been accused of trying to make everyone paranoid and not make friends. I'd like to say I have plenty of friends on neo, and that has nothing to do with not getting scammed. If the only thing friends are for is to lend and borrow avatar items, well then I don't know what I call the people I like on neo, but they're certainly not that. You do not have to lend things free to have friends.

*what is good collateral?

Any collateral which can be bid directly on the item done in one sweep, is good. Example, 800k pure and an item worth 800k on a Faerie Queen Doll is good collateral.

But items can be HTS or ETS and if your items are too HTS lenders will not accept them.
ETS = Easy to Sell
HTS = Hard to Sell

For example, paintbrushes are very easy to sell for the prices listed on the trading post, because loads of people want them etc etc.

Some of the most commonly used items for collateral are as following. The prices are estimates (and rounded), and you can go and buy these items if you have pure collateral and need items; they would be good. HOWEVER prices are subject to change suddenly if neo does anything crazzzzy or just because prices tend to float up and down, or because people get things from KeyQuest or things are Tarla'd. Please do check the prices on the trading post before you buy just incase they have.
Okay some common, ETS item collateral items are (in ascending order):
Snow Paint Brush {100k}
Prickly Potion {500k}
Baby Paint Brush {600k}
Honey Potion {750k}
Halloween Paint Brush {900k}
Ylanas Blaster {1,1m}
Darigan Paint Brush {1,4m}
Royal Paint Brush {1,7m}
Ghostkerbomb {7m}
Krawk Transmogrification Potion {9m}
Maraquan Paint Brush {9m}
Draik Transmogrification Potion {10m}
Sword of Skardsen {11m}

IN GENERAL; paintbrushes, avatar items, transmogrification potions, krawk and draik morphing potions, draik eggs, other avatar items, and common battledome weapons are ETS and good collateral =)
From all of these, you should be able to suitably build up collateral in ETS + pure for the avatar items you wish to borrow pretty easily =) If you're not sure if something is HTS or ETS you can always check the Trades board and ask someone. Or maybe even someone on the AC xD

Thankyou to all the lenders who helped me make this list, to make sure I was getting what you actually wanted. 0:-)

However, furniture will very rarely sell for what it says on the trading post, as it is a lot more HTS, and so will probably sell for around 1/2 that, depending on the item.

*how much collateral is the right amount?

Look up the item on the Trading Post and don't go for the first price you see. Some people try to put their prices a few million higher thinking someone will buy it at that price rofl, so look through and check what the cheapest ones are - usually that's full collateral. If you see trades about lending they're good too.
Don't bother trying this with Super Attack Pea, it wont work out. I think full at this time is 600-800million but .. Even if you have that, it's very hard to get lent. You can try though, probably best on the Battledome Chat, as I don't think any ACers own that haha.

*how to earn collateral

Okay, so now you like the sound of all this collateral business, but aren't sure where to start saving? There are a lot of neopoint making guides out there {just google it - you'll see} but since you're here, I may as well do my best to explain a few of the more common ways to earn neopoints.

Games there are a lot of "20/50/80/100/any number"k a day guides out there by playing games, and people also play games in the world challenges and game challenges to earn np from them. If you're willing to put in some time, then you'll be earning the collateral in no time.
Restocking is what people generally seem to move onto when they get bored of games rofl. Restocking is buying items in neopian shops, and selling for {hopefully} profit in your shops, trades, or auctions. It takes quite a lot of practice but can earn people a lot of np.
Sniping is using the shop wizard or auctions to find things that are priced lower than what you can sell them for, buying them, and selling them again. You have to be quite quick to get them, and it can be quite based on luck. A lot of people find this a very good way to earn np - if you want to try shop wizard sniping, codestones and lab maps are popular :)
Reselling is like auction sniping, only with trades and less based on speed. A reseller will probably be found at the Trades / Auctions board or on the trading post, trying to find items they can get a deal for to sell for more. For example, someone may be selling a morphing potion with a price tag of 300,000np, but is having trouble; maybe the reseller will offer 150,000np and then sell it for profit. It's always good to check the trading post, shop wizard and auctions to make sure you're not getting conned if you decide to try reselling.

*pet lending

This is possibly something which deserves a whole page in tself, but I'm just going to add it as another section, especially since the pound has been all changed since it's gone back up.

First off: There is no way to collect collateral on a pet. Taking any item or neopoint collateral on a pet is like buying / selling pets and is against the rules, so you cannot ask for this or offer this.

General Pound QuickFacts

Now I will explain how to lend through transfers, and through the normal pound (abandoning/adopting). If you are going to lend your pet, I'd recommend lending through transfers.
Lending through transfers: You will transfer your pet from this page by typing in the username of the person you want to lend to. Remember you can only transfer once out and once into your account per month, as can they. This means if they've already transferred out of their account that month, they can get your pet transferred in but cannot transfer out until next month. If you are lending in return for another pet you can then choose to trade for one of their pets on the next page. Each pet can only be transferred once a day so you will not be able to get your pet back that day. They will return it to you the same way, and there is no risk of anyone adopting your pet in the pound by mistake. If they do not return it, it is reportable and I urge you to report them and get them frozen, even if not over your pet, so they don't keep stealing peoples pets thinking they can get away with it =).
Chain lending through transfers is a way to lend more than one person per month. You will transfer it to the first lendee on the first day, then they will transfer to the next lendee on the second day, then they to the next lendee on the third day, et cetera, until the last day when that lendee will return the pet to you.
There is always a chance that someone along the lines will not return the pet; just like with item lending for low/free you must make the judgement of who you can trust yourself, and then it is never foolproof. Remember though, if someone has agreed to return your pet and keeps it, you can and should report them for scamming. =)

Pound lending: is the older way of lending, how people did it before the new transfer option. This involves the lender pounding their pet, and the borrower adopting it quickly before anyone else does. There used to be a quick adopt link, where the borrower would only have to refresh once the lender had pounded, but now the borrower must use this page and replace PETNAMEHERE with the name of the pet they will be adopting. They must then click 'adopt' on this page.
Usually a lender and a borrower will agree a time for the pet to be pounded (eg 12:07:36 NST) and the lender will pound at this time, while the borrower will refresh the next second, or two seconds later, to adopt the pet. The pet will be returned the same way, and can be returned in the same day. You can pound a pet once a day.
NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOU OR SOMEONE IS WITH THE POUND, THERE IS ALWAYS THE RISK OF SOMEONE ELSE ADOPTING THE PET
This way is not foolproof and someone else could be browsing the pound, refresh that second, see the pet, and adopt it. It's not impossible. If someone else adopts your pet, they do not have to give it back and harassing them is just that - harassment.

As there is no way of collecting collateral on a pet, I see it as much more risky. However, I lend pets and petpets when they are zapped, or pets that I am not attached to at all. However, the general rule is
do not lend a pet you are not willing to lose because either way, you could lose the pet, and there is no way you can collect collateral on the pet to buy a new one. Remember also that if you borrow a pet and agree to return it, and then choose not to because you think the rules are different for pets and items, you can be reported and frozen. Anyone who has ever stolen one of my pets has been frozen. You will not get your pet back if someone stole it, but you can hopefully stop them stealing more pets.
I hope this helped you!

*lending slang

There's a lot of slang around lending on the AC, and I've figured it might be a good idea to make a list on this page, seeing as this page is all about lending and stuff ;B

*my opinion

I've noticed some people think I'm against free lending .. I'm not.
I only want people to be aware of all those scams and how to avoid them.
If they still wish to take those risks to help people out I just think that's nice - but I don't want them to be tricked. There is a huge difference.
I am not 'anti-free-lending' and I don't think free lending is a bad thing at all - it's really nice of people to do that if they know that the item will probably get stolen at some point if they lend free a lot and choose to anyway.
I don't think people should go around calling anyone who asks for things free a scammer, because I highly doubt everyone is, or even a majority, in fact. The main reason I am againstlend me free boards is because they help scammers blend in with the majority so they don't stand out, and people generally just sit there typing 'bump' and just wait for someone to come along rather than making any kind of saving effort themselves, it seems people could do both but generally only choose one. I think it's also nicer if those sorts of favours are offered rather than asked for - but that is personal opinion.
I'm not trying to dictate how people should borrow and lend their items.
I'm not trying to stop people lending free.
I'm not dictating what boards people can and can not make.
I don't think everyone who makes boards I don't like is a 'rude person'.
I don't think people cant deserve an avatar without full collateral.
I just do want people to know how to avoid being scammed over avatars.

That's it.
If you don't like the page I don't mind that, but most of the mail I've been get which has been negative about this page has been because of the above things - people thinking that I'm saying something I'm not .. or something. :s

Like I said, if you do want to 'flame' me for ruining your chances of getting lent or whatever, please send the neomail to my side account, meanietaye. I wont reply either way and I don't want you clogging up my inbox.
