X Isle:
There is a small volcanic island covered by a lush but eerie forest that, although the volcano is still active, has yet to burn down. In the dark depths of the forest, a large stone cold cave rests quietly beside a calm icy river that flows peacefully through the forest. Every tree produces some sort of berry making food shortages are un-heard of. Scientists have tried to study the island countless times with all explorations ending in complete failure and the loss of men. However one scientist was able to catch something amazing on film; a dark figure with glowing ice eyes glaring at him from deep within the forest…
A Normal X Day
A sleek grey figure sat on a rock a few feet away from the commotion on the beach of the island know as X Isle. The terrified humans paid no attention to this creature with soft green eyes as they ran from another one with ice blue eyes. When the humans had fully fled, the creature with ice blue eyes disappeared into the forest. The sleek grey creature sighed as she watched her older brother walk away from yet another attack and then jumped into the icy river.
When the grey creature resurfaced she was outside a large stone cave and flapped her angel wings to dry off quicker. Her grey fur sparkled in the sun as the water droplets slid off. I don't see how Riq can be so intent on doing the same thing every single day, that must be the most boring life imaginable for a Lutari. Besides the grey fur, this Lutari had light purple markings, soft sea green eyes and dainty angel wings. Her wings were light purple on the bone part, cream feathers & 'u' shaped purple markings. Like her brothers she has a cream underbelly as well and speaking of her brothers, they were twins with completely different personalities. She sighed to herself, think Kai what could your two brothers possibly be doing now. Kai shook her head while her tail placed an object on the stone next to her. Another camera that's been stupid enough to capture a picture of Riq, Kai thought as she flicked one of the sea green earrings on her tail with her claw.
Riq; her cold hate filled older brother was one Lutari that anyone would want to stay clear of. He hates everything and everyone including herself and his twin. Yama; Riq's twin and the kinder brother often worries for her safety around Riq. He hardly leaves the two together in fear that Riq would attack her and also carries three scars on his left flank as proof of what Riq can do. Kai sighed once more before she stretched out on the stone and dozed in the sun.
One can only imagine what this island would be like if Riq was still his old self and Yama was, well if Yama, um I guess if Yama was the same as he is now. Riq had never lashed out at either one of us before that day; five years ago. As normal Riq was dozing near the beach and suddenly came home with an ice blue bracelet on his right foreleg. I remember him snarling at Yama when he ventured to close and let out a warning growl when I greeted him. A year later Yama had come home with a metal cuff on his left foreleg and two big 'Xs' were engraved on it. Of course this set Riq on a rampage as he flew towards where the smugglers, that got Yama so interested in treasure, were camping. Yama source of treasure was chased away by Riq's furious rage.
To this day Yama still searches for treasure, weather tricking visitors that come to our island home or venturing to other nearby islands. Even passing cargo ships don't get by without Yama taking a look at what they're carrying. I wonder what adventure story he has for me today? Well it's almost late afternoon so Yama should be coming back with another story and Riq, I don't know if Riq will come back at all tonight.
Kai was roused out her sleep and thoughts when she heard Riq's vicious snarl. Yama had just greeted her by placing a gold ring on the ground when Riq jumped out of the river. Kai slid the camera towards Riq while she turned her attention to Yama as he began to tell her a new adventure story. With great haste and power the camera met its end as Riq smashed it with his claws. While Yama told Kai his story Riq happened to ask, "So how'd you get down from that tree?" in a curious manner and both Kai and Yama looked at each other in confusing. There was no hatred in Riq's voice, something Kai hasn't heard in a long time.
Optimistic
Kai is one of the sweetest and most happy-go-lucky Lutari. If not the sweetest and most happy-go-lucky Lutari ever. She doesn't really feel that looking at negative things will help you very much, as her life isn't exactly peaceful. One of her older brothers hates everything, everyone and her attitude. Her other older brother is constantly looking for treasure and getting himself into who knows how much trouble. So she looks towards the brighter things in life, such as her treasure obsessed older brother's stories and maybe seeing her hate filled other older brother act unusual for a change. Kai has just one problem; she's too nice for her own good…
