The early morning sky stretched lazily over a waking Altador. Glorious wisps of orange, pink and gold painted the dawn clouds. Everything was still and peaceful. You climbed a hill to get a better view of the striking kingdom below you. Turning about, you looked for a place to sit and watch the city. Then you noticed something... At the top of this particular hill was a circular, columned building with a domed roof. It looked as if it was once a great a place for social gatherings. You stepped closer, forgetting the beauty of the morning for the magnificence of this ancient structure. You stepped through the stone archways and onto a perfectly polished marble floor. That's odd... you thought to yourself. It almost looked like someone had been taking care of it for a while...

The soft sound of hooves on wood brought you to attention and you looked around. Walking slowly down an almost camouflaged staircase along one of the few actual walls was a tall uni stallion. He watched you curiously and stopped once he reached the floor.

Good Morning. And who might you be? He cocked his head, causing his creamy forelock to sweep down over his right eye.

I..er..uh.. You paused to remember your own name. I'm guest.

You forgot your embarrassment in that moment. You... You live here? You gawked at him and swept your gaze around the room with a slightly neanderthalish expression, trying to imagine living in such a beautiful place. You discovered your rather moronic expression a moment later and composed yourself.

I found Socrates while visiting a friend in Brightvale. I passed a trader who was selling petpets and just had to have a look at them. This little fellow instantly took a liking to me. He was an expensive buy with his rare looks, but I didn't care. We have been inseparable ever since.

Roleplay

So you want to roleplay with Kotal? Splendid! Here's a quick summary of what to expect...

Kotal is sweet, smart, hardworking and mellow. He's happy to hold a civil conversation or just sit and exchange stories. He can be friends with just about anyone and is very forgiving.

He has no use for bad boys, emos, gothics, villains or dark-natured pets. He tends to avoid these at all costs. He also isn't much for pirates. He can stand some pirates, but in general he doesn't care for them.

Kotal also isn't looking for anyone to date/marry/drool over/whatever. If you have a girl who wants to be just friends, by all means, neomail away! If she wants to be more than friends... I'm sorry. It's not going to work out.

When asking to roleplay with Kotal, be reasonable in your locations. He's a pretty clean, good guy. His prime location is Altador, but he might be found in Brightvale, Meridell, Shenkuu, Neovia and possibly Kiko Lake, Roo Island or Neopia Central. He's not about to show up on Darigan Citadel or in Qasala. If your pet lives in the Haunted Woods or wherever and wants to meet Kotal, you can have them come to him if you really want to. But I'd rather you didn't make your pets OOC just to have them meet Kotal.

Kotal is a carpenter and he restored his home all by himself. He is certainly not a priss or a sissy. If your pet isn't going to take him seriously enough, I have better things to do. Granted, Kotal isn't all macho and extremely muscled, but he can hold his own if need be. Please respect that. Kotal doesn't like to get nasty, but he will if you insult his manliness.

Just because YOU know all about Kotal, doesn't mean your pet(s) do.

Kotal doesn't have/want/need any siblings or family. The End.

If your grammar is mediocre, or you type in Ch@7/l337 speak, I will end the RP. If English isn't your first language, please inform me and I will do my best to be considerate... but sometimes 20 mistakes in one reply can make my brain implode.

PLANNING YOUR MOVES does seem to help. I hate roleplays where the plot is wishy-washy and all over the place. If I get bored or have trouble understanding where you are going, I will end the RP. I have better things to do than decipher a roleplay plot.

And for the sake of all things right, don't expect nor ask Kotal to be OOC to suit you or your pet's situations. It's not going to happen. Kotal is Kotal. He's not going to be a dork just so your pet can make fun of him. He's not going to be a liar, cheat, sneak or bully for dramatic effect either. So there.

Here's one last thing. I absolutely will NOT roleplay with "invincible" pets. If they know everything, can't be injured, can't lose an argument, are best at everything or the last/only of whatever, I don't even want to hear from you. I am so tired of having to end roleplays because the other pet is such a brat.
