nifty.a new qt petpage to cover important stuffs. three cheers for nifty.!(please note, this is more a page to keep you up-to-date, there are enough scam-prevention sites out there that clarify all the rules as is, i'd rather not re-invent the wheel.) falsely inflated itemsmy definition of 'falsely inflated' in the case of this list is when one or more individuals buy up all or most of a low cost item, claim it to be another (significantly higher) price, and go around offering them on trades of people in the hopes of scamming people who assume the trading post price as correct.this list is not for items where the seller is unsure of the price, and put a stupid asking price, or rare items that have quickly inflated. such inflation isn't the same scamming intent as the formentioned case. i understand recently, many r99s have inflated, but most of it is supply:demand, and i would not keep on my page as it is the job of collectors to know the prices of items in their market. also note, i do not update the items once they are on this page. yes, the price may have dropped back to normal, but anyone can look up on the shop wizard or trading post for themselves. mail me error reports, or to add new things, etc.
recent glitchesglitch reports in italics appear to be fixed, or is quoted text. please mail me to confirm details or to add any reports.User Shops: Editing shop description or title may cause your shop to reset to size one. Trading Post: Any neopoints (pure) bid on lots that are rejected are not returned to you, so it is advisable not to offer on lots without negotiating with the user prior. I am unsure of the chance of this happening, but it does happen fairly frequently. Some people have also reportedly received the incorrect item in trading. There are several reports where buyers have not recieved items they have won through accepted trades even though their neopoints have been taken. The current trading post glitches seem to only affect buyers. Neopoints on Hand: Neopoints on hand are randomly being reset to zero or you may gain a random amount (highest report so far is 317 times original amount). If you gain neopoints, obviously, don't spend it if you don't want to be iced. Either keep it on hand or store it in the bank. If you are storing it in the bank, make sure you do not collect interest until it is fixed else it may be mistaken for taking advantage of a glitch. It would also be a good idea not to use any neopoints at this stage in case tnt mistake you for using glitched neopoints. Something weird is happening that is resetting random people's neopoints to 5,000np. It simply disappears, and so far no one has had luck with TNT returning it. NPs deposited in the bank are not affected by this. Auctions: There are some cases of multiple bids on auctions, I am unclear as to how this occurs or how to prevent it, but I believe you will lose the neopoints difference between each multiple bid if you do not win the auction. ie. Bid 1, 2 and 3 are both yours consequtively, with 1000np, 1050np and 1100np, you will lose 100np when the auction ends. The other auction glitch is cases where people get the wrong item, or get both the item and the neopoints the bid, and other such mess-ups. It would be a good idea not to put extra neopoints in the bank in case TNT thinks this as abusing a glitch (collecting interest from excess NP) Below is a copy of a mail that may be sent to you if one of your auctions glitch. There may also be errors in the refund, one report being of a user who was refunded neopoints for an item they won from auctions. If this occurs, I suggest putting the item in trades and alerting TNT in the wishlist. Message: Dear NAME, Oops! This is a mail to tell you that your item up for Auction ID # NUMBER (Item Name) has disappeared from the site before the auction could be resolved. As a result, the auction has been aborted and all bids have been refunded. Sorry! Here are the bids that were placed : Bid : NUMBER NeoPoints, placed by NAME Disabled Accounts: People are randomly getting semi-frozen. Your lookup will say you are frozen, and your shop prices, description, etc. will be reset. Neofriend lists may be affected also. You will still be able to play, however, you cannot post on the boards and some other activities are affected by this, although I'm not 100% on which ones. This random disabling of accounts doesn't seem to reflect any particular people. There have been some very well-known and respected players that have also been affected by this, so it shouldn't be too big of a worry. scams in circulationpopular current scams you shouldn't fall for.Neoboard: New threads titled Neopets Glitch Tutorial with content about what seems like a scratchcard glitch abuse method, leading you offsite. This
is most likely a CG site (for more info, refer to the help pages on the right.)
The first post appears like so: First, visit this link - offsite-link(DOT)com/2sv5tx (replace the DOT with a dot) Second, since the link was too long of a neopets link to insert here, I had to make it a offsite link. So visit the link and it should load an images.neopets.com scratchcard link. Third, Scratch off the card and no matter what, it will be an automatic win and jackpot. Redeem your prize and you should have tons of np's This is another reminder not to go to off-site links (not Neopets.com) and that there is never a quick, easy method to gain neopoints! Note, this thread may be posted by many different users, some accounts may look "good" - this is because these scammers most likely use the accounts of people who fell for the scam to further advertise and not because the "glitch tutorial" works! Premium Users: Recent SCAM mail in circulation. This is sent to your username@neomail.com email, provided with all premium accounts. ANYONE can mail to this account, so please don't believe that it is legit because you get it through portal! The following is a copy of the mail, thanks diablo_gato! neopetsneopet.com helphelpful pagescontacti love mail, but please try not to use me as your personal step-by-step guide as to what to do. use your head if you can, and the helpful pages i have listed above. i do not want to have to close neomails because i can no longer handle the amount of useless mail i'm getting.general rule of thumb when neopoint-related glitch occurs: don't use any extra neopoints you may have, file a report with tnt. it would be wise not to make neopoint transactions (selling/buying via auctions, trades, user shops) have a query about what is glitched/to what extent/how? test with a small quantity if you can afford it, or just wait for it to be fixed. i am not psychic (believe it or not) i will not know everything, what you should do, what tnt will do. i can only guess to the best of my ability what the sensible thing would be for tnt to do, and what actions they will take using neopets t&c and past glitches. contacting tntplease try to be sure about the situation before contacting tnt, for example, asking on the boards before filling in another form to tnt, they probably have a lot of mail with the amount of glitches/abuse about the site.crediti stole this from will and altered with permission.yay for neopets.com. link me
