And

Meet The Girls!
You
may be looking at my NeoPet Pet's and thinking, "Boy, she really loves
Meerca's!" Well, there is a reason for it! Meerca's are the
closest pet to my favorite pet, the ferret! I currently own four ferrets
and will take in any rescues that come my way. Recently, two have come to
visit and gone on to forever homes, and in August of 2003, I lost my baby girl
and first ferret, Casey. She brought Ferret Math into my house and
infected me very well with it to the point that I don't know when I will ever
reach Full Ferret Capacity.

KiddoKudo
is named after Kudo the Ferret! Kudo came to live with me about
two years ago. She was a rescue who had never set her feet on the
floor other than inside of her cage. At first, she was very shy
and needed to learn to be a ferret. She had a great teacher,
Casey, who was my first ferret. Casey passed over the Rainbow
Bridge in August of 2003 and is deeply missed. Kudo is a sable ferret who is three years old. She loves whipped cream from the can and playing in shredded paper. She is a ham for the camera and loves playing. She has her own big pillow right beside Momma's desk where she will lay and be cute while I am on the computer. |

JustJuliet
is named after Juliet the Ferret! JustJuliet is a mutated meerca
that looks a lot like Juliet when she doesn't get her treats right
away! Juliet came to live with us when her Momma didn't have the
time to take care of her anymore. She came with two other ferrets,
Peanut and Muffin. You can find PrettiePeanut and MusicalMuffin
both roaming around Neopia too! While Peanut and Muffin were both
better suited to be only children, Juliet was friendly and
outgoing. She got along great with Kudo right off the bat.
They are buddies now. Juliet is also a sable ferret. She loves to play, but her favorite thing in life is "yummies"! She lives for treats! She plays hard when she plays, but the first thing on her mind when she wakes up is getting her yummies, and if Mommy is asleep, she will crawl into bed with me and make sure I wake up by what ever means it takes, even if it means biting my feet. Don't worry, she doesn't bite hard, just enough enough to get my attention. |

MenacingMaggie
is named after Maggie the Ferret. Maggie is an albino ferret that
plays hard and sleeps hard. She earned her name Menacing Maggie
here at home because of her rough house manner of play. She loves
to play rough with my stuffed animals and will run around like a spaz.
Just like Kudo, she is a ham for the camera. She loves attention
and will do anything to get it. Kudo has taught her the finer
things in life like enjoying whipped cream, but no one comes close to
matching her energy and drive. Maggie will sleep just as hard as
she plays and is often found sleeping on my sheep skin so sound that you
have to check her to see if she is still alive. Her little naps
though don't last that long and she will wake up running. Maggie also came to me because her Mommy couldn't take care of her anymore. She came to me with her friend, Mona. Mona is the only ferret that does not have a NeoPet named after her yet. By the time that Maggie and Mona came along, I had already started adopting pets from the pound and building them up. Mona is very shy, so I figured it best that maybe she didn't have a NeoPet named after her since she doesn't like to come out and play with strangers. She will play with Maggie and me, but that is it. She is rarely seen out of the dresser when anyone else is here. |

Now
you may be wondering, who is "cgsdesigns"? I go by just
cg or Kristi. I am 37 year old. I live in Michigan,
USA. I have recently become disabled due to a bad case of judgment
on my part in trying to ride a snowboard after the age of 30. I am
currently home most of the time when I am not running between doctor's
appointments, so I get to play NeoPets a lot. I really enjoy my
time here for the most part. There are a few times when I have
become so upset because of mean people that I have thought about
quitting, but I've stuck it out so far. |
| I
run two very successful shops and help out with the Make_A_NeoWish
Foundation. I have designed the graphics for many shops through
out Neopia. I am a graphic designer and alternative advertising
specialist by heart but have also run two successful businesses in the
real world. I have simply taken what I know works in reality and
transferred it to making my shops work here in Neopia. You can
learn from my experience by visiting JustJuilet's page and reading my
business plan. I love helping people out here, especially those new to the game who are honestly trying to make a go of it and earn their own points. I hate beggars and will often just block them instead of giving to them. I don't mind helping, but I believe that if you help a player to earn their own points, they will be able to help others too instead of just begging and helping them out time and time again. "Give a person a fish and they eat for a day, teach them to fish and they can eat forever. I also live and believe that you reap what you sow. If you treat people like you want to be treated and help out those in need, that the blessings they receive will return to you many times over. There is far too much greed, meanness, and people out to try to take from others without giving around, not just in Neopia, but in the world. It is this reason that when I do help someone out, whether it be on the Quest Board or by some other means, I don't ask for anything in return except that they PAY IT FORWARD! My hopes that eventually, a blanket of kindness will cover Neopia and make it a better place. I spend a great deal of the points I earn building up adopted pets from the pound and placing them back in so that newer players can have great pets without having to pay the cost that it takes to get higher level pets. I spend a lot not only on codestones for training, but on books to make them smart. I don't like to send a pet out until it is at least brilliant. I have two lab rays, one on each account I have, that I use to help with building these pets. On this account, there is always only one pet that is being built up for adoption, but on my other account, PhyshFood, there are two pets that I work on daily. I love building up pets and then watching them grow! I keep an eye on all of them as they leave. So far, I've had pretty good luck with only have one mean person who was only after the items attached to the pet adopt my built up pets. It is for that reason that I stopped attaching petpets and equipment with the pets as they leave. It was just too hard to see greed in action. I guess that is about all from me right now. I am always working on things and trying to make them better. When I am beyond this disability and able to return to work, my time on the computer will go back down, but my love of the game will always be the same. And I am sure I will always be somewhere around here helping out in some way. Have a great day! And remember, the kindness you show to someone else today will return to you some day! And just as that is true, so is the opposite. Meanness, rudeness and greed will only bring sadness back to those who spread it. |

NOTE FROM CG:
Ferrets are really cute, lovable little critters. They are not wild
animals, and they can not take care of themselves. If you are considering
getting a ferret, please, do some research first. They require more care
and attention than a cat. While they can sleep in a cage, they can not live in
one. They require at least four hours of play time outside of the cage
every day. They have special dietary needs and do not eat cat food.
While they will eat it, it does not have enough protein or nutrients in it for
them to thrive on. If you are considering getting one still after you have
done the research, please consider adopting a ferret from a local ferret rescue
or the animal shelter. There are thousands of ferrets out there who's only
problem in life was having owners who did not want them anymore or could not
care for them. These special babies will provide you with years of love
while enjoying the rest of their life in a loving home. If you live in
California, ferrets are still illegal to own since someone in the government
decided that ferrets were wild animals even though they can not survive in the
wild for any period of time.
