It seems to be a small cafe, the building looking like it would be better suited to Faerieland, but it seems like a pleasant little place so you decide to check it out.
As you open the door, you notice the place is almost entirely empty...except for a faerie gelert that is cleaning the tables. You pause, thinking that maybe they're closing, and turn to leave just as the waitress spots you.

Welcome!" she greets you, smiling. "Actually, we're closed at the moment...Ah, but don't look so discouraged!" She pulls a chair out for you and motions for you to sit. "Have a seat, I'll bring something good~" You take the offered seat, and the little gelert quickly disappears behind the counter.

After a few minutes of waiting, she returns, carrying a tray with a two cups of tea and a large plate of cookies, and sets them on the table. "Please, help yourself." She smiles cheerfully as she takes a seat across from you. "I always have tea and cookies after I close up, but I certainly don't mind having some company. My name is Keisho, and I run this cafe with my 'family'." You introduce yourself in return and pick up your cup of tea, taking a sip. It's quite good, and tastes strongly of snowberries, and you suddenly realize that the cookies on the table appear to be made from snowberries as well.

As if realizing where your train of thought suddenly focused, Keisho starts talking again. "Snowberry themed items are my specialty. Before we decided to open this place, I worked at another store called the "Snowberry Cafe". I really loved it there, and the people were so nice, but one thing led to another and it eventually shut down..." Her ears droop slightly as she mentions this, but perks back up quickly. "But working there got me hooked on snowberries and I've been using them in anything I can ever since."

Snowberries are kind of hard to come by...but I've actually been developing a way to grow them myself, and have even made some new breeds." She smiles. "If you promise me you'll plant them, you're free to take a branch with you."

You listen to her quietly as you enjoy your tea, but your eyes can't help wandering to her wings every now and then. The light reflecting of them makes them glitter and shimmer, and it's rather distracting. She notices, and simply smiles when you look sheepish at being caught. "It's alright, I'm used to that. Faerie Gelerts are pretty rare, especially in Neopia Central. To be honest, I haven't met any others... Ah...you want to know a little more about me...? Well..."

Keisho gets up and goes over to the notice board that's near the counter and removes a few items, before returning and laying them out on the table. "These are pictures of my family, the ones that help me take care of this place."

This is Jena. I suppose you could call her our owner, although she doesn't really treat us like pets. But she's the one that took us all in and made us a family (none of us are really related). She's pretty weird, and has some insanely random mood swings. I try to avoid her when that happens, but it's hard to pinpoint when they'll hit. She spends most of her time in her room, drawing stuff or watching anime. She's the one that makes our overly-sweet coffees. Because she claims that's the only way to make it stop tasting like chalk. o_O;;"

Ah, and this is Bakura. He used to be a zafara until Jena decided to waste all our money to transmogrify him into a cybunny. The concept of species change kinda bugged me since I thought Jena was forcing him into it, but he seems really happy to be a bunny, so I don't mind it anymore...even if we DID have to live off omelettes and soup for a while. ^_^;; He's a very gentle kind of person, and likes to read. He's also the only person who's capable of making Jena behave. Even though he's a pretty responsible guy, he always seems to be running late (usually because of Jena), and is also pretty clumsy. He specializes in coffees, and all of our more traditional teas."

Yuki-chan is like the baby of our family. She's childish and sweet, and utterly ADORES snow globes and anything christmasy. I swear, her room looks like a christmas tree exploded in there. But I really can't tolerate being in her room for long, since it's make of ice and has the a/c going 24/7 to keep it from melting. Waaayy too cold for me. But since she's a penguin I guess it doesn't really phase her. She doesn't make any of our drinks or sweets, but she helps us by cleaning up or working the cash register (under Bakura's supervision). She also suggests new ideas from time to time, like our Pure Ice Tea."

And this is Stardust. She's...well, she isn't very pleasant. She's really bitter and grumpy all the time. I think it has something to do with the fact that she has no legs, so can't get around easily outside of the water. o_o;; I guess it's hard to cope with something like that when you're the only fully aquatic creature in a family...Especially when you live in Neopia Central. Jena set her room up with a little pool that has an underground connection to the river near the house, so Stardust can have more freedom. I have no idea how it works really, but she seemed pleased with it. Since she can't get into the cafe (not easily at least), she doesn't work here, but she does help create some of our drinks. Anything you find on our menu that's sour, spicy, or...well, just plain disgusting sounding, you can bet Stardust is the one behind it. I swear that girl has no taste buds..."

She gets up again and goes to place the pictures back on the board, and returns again with more pictures. She seems a little sheepish. "These are pictures of me...I really don't know why Jena insists on displaying them here...But feel free to look through them if you like."

As she returns the pictures to the board once again, you notice a slightly ominous list tacked beside the pictures.

When you ask about it, Keisho frowns a little. "Oh...This list? It's Jena's blacklist. These are the names of people that have done bad things, and aren't allowed back into the cafe. You really don't want to be on this list, but feel free to take a look at it."

She sits back down again and looks at you, noting your still slightly curious gaze. "....Hm...? Is there still anything you want to ask me?" You pause in consideration, and after a moment decide to ask her if she'll tell you more about herself. Even though she's been talking for a while, she really hasn't said much about herself.

Oh...Um, you want to hear my story?" She scratches her cheek slightly, a little wary. "It's not really interesting...You'll probably think it's boring..." Noticing you don't seem phased, she sighs a little. "Well...alright, I guess it can't hurt..."

Before I came to join Jena's family, before I had my wings, I was a pink gelert that lived alone on Mystery Island. It was nice, and I had some good friends. And...some not so good friends... After a while though I had to leave, for reasons I'd rather not explain right now...." She pauses a moment, her eyes seeming distant, before shaking her head slightly and continuing.

I kind of wandered after that...I was at a loss of where to go or what to do with myself...I eventually found myself at the borders of Faerieland... I spent a lot of time just watching the faeries fly around. The more I watched them, the more I thought to myself how much I'd love to be that free...to fly and go wherever the wind would take me..." She laughed softly. "I really couldn't tell you how long I stayed there...but I guess it must have been a while, because I eventually caught the attention of a beautiful Air Faerie.... She made a deal with me. If I would travel Neopia and find the scattered shards of a magical artifact, then she would grant me wings.... It was risky....but I took her at her word, and set out on her quest.

It took me a long time....I risked a lot to find them. But...in the end I found them all...And returned them to Psellia." She paused again, a slightly confused expression on her face. "I...actually, a little bit of that part is fuzzy....I think I must have been really fatigued from all the searching and stuff...." She smiles and runs a hand fondly along one of her glimmering wings. "But either way, Psellia was true to her word. I was finally given the wings I'd wanted so badly..."

She finally stops and looks up at the clock. "Ah...! I'm sorry, I talked too much, didn't I?" She blushes a little and stands, beginning to clear away the empty cups and plates. "I've kept you so long...And I'm sure Jena's wondering why I'm taking so long..." You blink and look at the clock as well, surprised to see how late it's become.

Keisho smiles at you as you get up to leave. "Thank you for having tea with me, I had fun. I hope you'll come back to see me again sometime. Feel free to take a card, so you can always find your way back."
