This page is our main page for our guild webbie. The links to the left will direct you all around our beautiful site. If you are interested in learning more about our guild then this is the place to be. Please note that our guild follows all of TNT's rules that govern guilds and how they should be run. If you have any questions about practices that are allowed vs. ones that are not, please refer to TNT's Guild FAQ pages. ~The Midnight Shadows Adult Guild Council The Over 18 Rule ------------------------------ Since we are an adult guild, I'm sure you'll understand why you have to be over 18 to join. That being said, we can't really verify that EVERYONE is over 18 because it's easy to lie about your age when you sign up for an account. Also, we are currently a public guild and that makes it hard to monitor ages as folks join. We would very much like to remain a public guild, so I'll say this much... If you're not over the age of 18 then don't join. If you're close to 18 and you're mature enough to act like an adult, then that's ok... but otherwise just don't join to harass us because we will report any accounts that join only to cause problems. We don't want to waste our time and you shouldn't waste yours either. Be Considerate of other Members ------------------------------ This one speaks for itself. Don't deliberately cause problems by being rude or mean to other members. We are all here to have fun, and neopets is just a game. (HONESTLY... I'M NOT LYING, it's just a game!) The guild should be a place where people feel comfortable asking for help and advice, so no one should be rude or mean to another member just because he or she has less experience than someone else. Also, as a common courtesy, we do try to avoid chatspeak as it tends to make people's heads implode. The internet has brought many different languages to many different peoples homes, please use the ones we've already had before the internet came along. Activity and Guild Ranks ------------------------------ Rank is determined by how active you are in the guild. If you're around and only post every-so-often, you then your rank may not be as high as someone who is here every day posting constantly. On the flip side of things, we aren't going to delete you just because you have a life outside of neopets. As we are all adults here, we understand that life can get hectic. College gets overwhelming, kids need to be delivered to soccer games and band practices, and we all get sick from time to time. IT'S OK TO HAVE A LIFE! So if you're not around for a few months... sure, we may lower your rank a bit. As soon as you find time to come back and post, your rank will go back to where it should be and you will be welcomed with open arms. The only exception is those folks who join and never post. You know the type... they get on neopets every day but not a single hello post!?! If you don't post at all within a six-month period, you may be deleted just because if you don't pop in for six months without reason, you won't be welcome back into the guild. Suspensions and Banishment from the Guild ------------------------------ Warnings will be given out to delinquant guild members, (those who break the rules and/or are intentionally defying guild officials). If you show disrespect to the guild or any of its members (insults, harassment, trash talking) you will be automatically suspended from posting on the boards and depending on the severity of the actions, you may be banned from returning. I have only had to ban one person so far for this reason, so let's keep that number the same. Ask the Council/Voice your Concerns ------------------------------ Short and simple: If you have a new idea for an activity, program, or any idea that could help the guild then just neomail one of us. Or if you have a problem with another guild member, use us to resolve it. We are here for you and we don't bite... so don't be afraid to ask for help or give us suggestions. That's why we're here! Regarding the Donation Shop ------------------------------ We have a guild donation shop. It does by NO way mean you have to donate. It is set up for those members who wish to donate items to the guild shop. In addition to this, please refer to the ToC. I have the excerpt below: (Scroll down to # 6 on terms and condtions page) In addition to your main account, a guild account can have a store but cannot earn Neopoints in any manner other than through the store, auctions and trades (and anything that happens on that account could impact your other accounts). If you maintain a guild account, you will be held responsible for that account. You are permitted only one guild account per guild. Activities and Events ------------------------------ So, what is the difference between an activity and a contest? Well, if you participate in one of our activities you will NEVER be asked to give us an item or any kind of donation, our activities are totally free. Contests tend to ask people for items or neopoints in order to participate, and tend to be scams. Just remember, if it feels wrong, don't do it! And you should never be asked for anything by another guild member... if you are, please alert the council. The Activities we hold in the guild are completely free. Most of the time offer a graphic to post on your lookup or items that we have purchased with the guild fund via donation shop. We can not, and WILL not accept any kind of admission fee or commission charge for activities or contests. If any of the members are doing so for any member-run activity report it to the council and TNT immediately!
