When choosing the perfect petpet for my pets, I decided to think of the chances of a PPL trophy as a factor. I was surprised to find
that no one could point me to a list of petpets that had already gotten the award, since the PPL award had been given out for well over four years at the time. So... I made a list myself.
The list is arranged as I saw fit - I know it's not very fancy. But still, enjoy! And please neomail me if you spot an error!

---------------- Questions and Answers Q: I have this really old petpet, and I just painted it faerie two days ago. If it (the faerie version) wins PPL in a week, will it be as "old" as it still says on my pet's lookup (IE its entire age), or will it just be a week and two days old? A: PPL counts the entire age of your petpet. Q: Can cooking pot petpets win? A: Yes. The Moink won in Week 45. Others have won since then, as well. Q: I have an old petpet still attached that has been changed by TNT to another petpet. Is the petpet still eligible for PPL? Does it gets its own PPL? A: Yes, and no. Let's use an example. Once upon a time, there was a petpet called the "Fat Cat". For some reason or another, TNT changed the Fat Cat to a "Baraga". Fat Cats still attached to pets did not morph in to Baragas, but they will if they are ever detached. In Week 161, the Baraga won PPL. Fat Cats were counted as Baragas, thus the top winners were all actually Fat Cats, as to have a Baraga it would have to have been attached sometime after the item change. Owners of Fat Cats got NP for every day they owned the petpet just like owners of Baragas did. Since Fat Cats were counted as Baragas, we can assume that the Fat Cat "itself" will never win PPL. Make sense? =) Q: Someone said that only one color of each petpet can ever win. Is this true? A: No. Mutant and Faerie Babaas have won. Slorgs, Faerie Slorgs and Plushie Slorgs have won. Anubis and Cloud Anubis have won. Drackonack and Green Drackonack have won. Pink and Snow Sludgy have won. Etc. Q: Can petpets changed with the petpet lab ray win PPL? A: Nope. The PetPet Protection League does not approve of zapping your poor petpet. Fluffy could vanish for good, you know!=( Q: Hey, what about if my petpet gets zapped into a color like Chocolate, which I can't paint and is only obtainable through the petpet lab ray? Can't it be chosen for PPL then? What about lab only species? A: Delicious!.. Err. What I mean is, the PPL is really strict when it comes to having your petpet in danger. Petpets that have been zapped into anything else can NOT win. Q: The petpet lab ray zapped my Altachuck into a Krawk! Why won't it turn into a krawk neopet?! A: Haha. This question shouldn't be here, but I'm sick of seeing it in the editorial. Answer: because it's not a real krawk petpet. Zapped krawk petpets will never turn into krawk neopets. Q: Does it matter if my petpet has a "petpetpet"? A: No, the PPL does not seem to check your petpets for parasites at this time. I'm not sure why not. *raises eyebrow at them* Q: Whoa. I was looking at past winners, and I saw that the top Pink Walking Carpet is only 1,231 days old. My Pink Walking Carpet is like seven million thousand days old, and I have no PPL trophy! What gives? A: Once the winners chart is made, it never updates how old the petpets are. That is how old the top Pink Walking Carpet was when it won first place. It would be older than that now. Q: What happens to a petpet if I pound my neopet? A: The petpet will remain with it's neopet, if you pound OR transfer. If you don't want the petpet to go with its neopet, you will need to remove the petpet before you pound or transfer. Q: I have a petpet painted some color that TNT has never chosen for PPL before! Does TNT not like that color? Why isn't the color even on your list? A: TNT just hasn't gotten around to choosing whatever type of petpet you have. There are only so many weeks in a year, and the longer you have your petpet, the more NP you get anyway. I'm not going to bother adding a new column for a new color until they actually pick something of that color. Keep in mind, petpet lab ray petpets cannot win, even if they are a petpet lab ray only color (such as Jelly or Chocolate). So Jelly and Chocolate are never going to be columns on this page. Q: How much NP does this PPL Award give? A: 10 NP for every single day your petpet has been attached to your pet, just like it says here. Q: If I detach my 200 day old petpet ("stop playing with fluffy") but then put it right back with my pet, will it still be 200 days old? A: No. The counter will start all over again, at 0 hours. Q: My petpet got me a PPL trophy, but I don't want it any more. If I detatch it, will my pet lose the trophy from its lookup? A: No. Your pet is stuck with the trophy for all of eternity. Q: My petpet won PPL and got the trophy and everything. Then I sold it and bought another, newer, cooler petpet. Could I win PPL with it too? A: Yup. Presumably, your pet can get two trophies, too.

* The Gulper and Blibble were chosen twice for their awards... weeks 14 and 31 and weeks 22 and 48 respectively.
TNT (The NeoPets Team) says this won't happen again. Here is from the editorial of Neopian Times issue 150:

Why have Blibbles been PPL winners twice (weeks 22 AND 48)? Shouldn't other petpets have a chance? - Swiftbreeze

We switched who was running PPL and I guess Blibbles sneaked by unnoticed the first time. I will make sure no more Petpets are repeateded
as it is not fair to all the other owners who are patiently waiting for their chance to win."


UPDATE: Seems like on December 3rd, 2008, the Flowper snuck in for the second time. Must be an oops?
