Welcome//

Hello, hello.

I do suppose you're here to learn about me. You're very ecstatic, I know. Who wouldn't be?

If you're wondering where you are, you're in the water pipes to a once thriving city placed in the Lost Desert. The city died long before my time.

About Me//

I'm sure you've caught onto this, but my name's Karasuhebii. I didn't have one for most of my life, but when Doirn took me in she said I needed a name. Karasuhebii is Japanese for black snake, apparently.

I'll admit that I can be very vain if I want to. I'm not obsessed with myself but, hey. You have to admit; I am beautiful.

I'm not one to have a lot of friends. I do know one person that I am pretty fond of, but that's about it.

I'm extremely spiteful, but not to be cool. Just because I don't like many things.

It keeps my cold scales nice and warm out here. Snow and reptiles don't mix.
What? They're delicious! What do I look like? A Kau!?
She's exactly like me only in smaller, mute form. I'm naturally this beautiful. I don't need to fake it.

Story//

My mother and father were both beautiful, wild Maraquan Hissies. It's where I get my looks, you know.

Although, my father wasn't born in Maraqua, he was born a Shadow Hissi in Neopia Central. When he met my mother, he decided he wanted to be with her more than anything. Though, Maraquans can't live too long out of the water, and us normal Hissies can't even attempt to breathe underwater. Though, it is amusing to see them try.

My father had worked up a plan on how to return home with my mother. He had stolen a Maraquan Paint Brush from the Mystery Island trading post, and you can only imagine how terrified the owner of it must have been when he didn't find it the next day.

Once he was painted, they headed down to Maraqua. Together at last.

When my siblings and I were born, we didn't first see the world underwater, but instead the tropical shores of Mystery Island. You see, when Maraquan Hissi hatchlings first emerge from their shell, they quickly scurry into the water so they can survive. More than half of my family didn't do this.

Since my father was born a Shadow Hissi, most of us were as well. Except me, of course.

My appearance seemed to reflect my mother and father at the same time, as well as a few things that Neopian eyes have never seen before.

So I guess you could call me a mutant, but if I do say so myself, I'm far too gorgeous to be compared to something as unpleasant as a mutant.

I've been told by human Neopians that I resemble a cobra. Whatever that is. This thing on my head and my color pattern evidently makes them say that.

My mother and father faced a challenge when it came to feeding us. They taught us how to swim so that when it was time to eat we could swim up to them instead of our parents trying to get to our nest every day.

Though, once we were old enough to fend for ourselves, my mother, father, and Maraquan brothers and sisters returned to Maraqua.

My shadow siblings decided to stay on the beach and live their lives there. I stayed for a while, but then the tourists started to come in and crowd the place.

This didn't bother my family much, but it irritated me to no end. Afterwards, I decided it was best I swim to another island.

I had to have swam nearly fifty miles until I made it to another island. This one was much smaller, and is commonly known as Krawk Island.

I stayed, but it was still rather crowded. I decided to check out the local shops when I found myself in an academy.

A very angry looking Eyrie was inside, sitting at a round table counting dubloons. He glared at me and told me that he'd teach me his secrets in exchange for dubloons.

I had found one down by the shore. I had assumed that someone dropped it earlier, but didn't care to much to return it. I took it from my pocket and handed it to him. He took the dubloon with the one front paw that he had and turned it over and over as if to examine it.

I told him that I had been swimming for a few days before arriving here, and requested if he could teach me to fly. Him being an Eyrie, I figured there wouldn't be a problem.

His scowl turned to a sweet smile, and he said, I'll teach ya all me old tricks!

Despite his scruffy appearance, he ended up being a nice guy. Because of my age, it took me a while to catch on, but he was patient. After I had it down, he gave me a room to sleep in for a couple more nights. And then I decided to hit the road, for lack of a better term.

This time I left in flight, but ended up swimming the last quarter of the way. I had no idea where I was going, but after hundreds of miles I finally found my new home.

I landed in the Lost Desert, and for the third time in a row, my new home was nothing but sand. But unlike last two times, the only source of water was a slim river running through the wasteland.

Being a cold-blooded animal, I tend to like the warmth of the sun. But this was incredible!

The sand was so warm, and sometimes I could even find a rock to sunbathe on. But in-between my resting stops, I was slithering through the desert looking for a remote place to live. The last thing I wanted was to live in the middle of more crowds.

It took me a while, but I eventually found a place to actually call my home. It looked like I had found a forgotten city in the Lost Desert.

Most is buried in sand, but on a good day, some of the sand is blown away and you can see towers.

I had found what looked like a well, and decided to take a closer look. I slithered down the tube, when I began to see more pipes leading away from the one I was in. Evidently the city was once thriving and had its own water supply. This, of course, is already dried up. But I had the pipes to live in with little to no chance of anyone finding me.

But of course I was wrong. A little less than a year later, someone started to build their Neohome close to my dwelling.

These new inhabitant were none other than Doirn and Samuoll. Samuoll was, and still is, scared of my personality, but Doirn has acquired a strong liking for me.

So, alas, I am a member of her Neopian family. Though, I do try to spend as little time as possible with them.

Family//

Doirn
Well, Doirn's just herself. She's pretty happy most of the time, but she definitely gets pretty harsh when you say the right thing. I think I appreciate her the most at those moments.
She's not exactly one of those owners who's here every day to feed and play with us, so I do like that aspect of her. Plus, she lets me live in my pipes with no questions asked.
So I guess she isn't that bad.

Samuoll
Ugh. Samuoll's just a pain. He's always so happy with that, "it's all so good" smile on his face. It makes me sick when I think about the fact that I pretty much live with this guy!
No one should be that nice. I swear!

Jedane
Jed's just plain weird. I don't understand his motives for making clothing at all. He almost never talks to me [which is, in all honesty, quite fine by me] and mopes all the time.
Then of course there's the fact that I've never seen anyone put down so many Happy Neggs in one sitting.

Petpet//

Malice
I found Malice somewhere in the middle of the Lost Desert.
I had seen quite a few Setis lounging about in the sand. I assumed that whoever sold petpets from the Lost Desert could make a fortune just by coming out here with a net.
Malice was one of those wild Setis. Only she wasn't just lying there sunbathing, she had found a mouse and kept cornering it with her paws. Scared the thing half to death.
I slithered on up to her, and she of course dropped her guard and the mouse ran free. She turned her attention towards me.
She didn't attack me, but she didn't want me to pick her up, either. I eventually got her to come with me, despite the fact she didn't want to.
She grew to like me a little more. She's still the nasty little Seti she was when I found her, and I love it that way.

Friends//

Naphthaline
One of the first pets I met after Samuoll was his good friend, Induzztrial. Not exactly someone I'd hang out with.
But upon meeting him, I became acquainted with his siblings. One of them was Naphthaline.
He's very sinister and loves to toy with peoples' emotions. I think he's downright amazing, but he won't have anything to do with me.
But he's the closest thing I have to a "friend".
