Neopian Book Award Honorary Member
We Did It!!!
Spanky's Book World teamed up with a ton of wonderful guilds to petition to get an Honorary Book Award for book readers. Before, only the top 17 book readers received a trophy for their pet's lookup. NOT ANYMORE! As of Feb. 18, 2005 (18th day of Awakening, Y7) there is now an Honorary Book Trophy for not only the Neopian Book Awards, but also the Booktastic Book Awards
We would like to thank everyone who helped out with this cause. All the guilds, everyone who put banners up, everyone who submitted their suggestions to the Neopian Times or directly to Neopets. Without you all, our guild would have never been able to pull this off. *hugs*
A big Thank You is also in order for the Neopet's Team. Thank you so much for listening to our requests. It is mega hard to get one of those 17 spots on the book award list. Now everyone who has spent countless neopoints on books to get in the top 200 have something to show for it.
Updates throughout the petition
On the 16th day of Hiding, Y6, our request got published in the Neopian Times.
The Gourmet Club issues an "Honorary Member" pet trophy for pets who get into the top 200 on the gourmet list. It would be really nice if you could do the same thing with the Book Award. Please consider this, as many people have spent many NP to get onto that list and only the top 17 readers get *anything* for their effort. It just doesn't seem that fair. - Kittenchick12
