Vixen

The moon is up, sending a large glowing light over the atmosphere of the dark, haunting and overall mysterious landscape of the Haunted Woods. Everywhere you walk, a tree looks like a hand, waiting to grasp you in it's clutched. Gladly, you have a soaking wet map in your hands, and even though the ink has gone runny from the rain, you continue following it, until disasters strikes.

You are bent over, trying to hold it still in the harsh wind, when a lupe howl disturbs you. Silently, the map floats out of your hand, giving you several paper cuts, and flies over the woods and into the unknown. "dammit...what do I do now?" you ask yourself, ripping the sleeve of your shirft off the create a bandage stopping the blood from flowing.

The lupes appear to be getting closer, and all you can see is mist. Carefully and as silent as you can, you slip into a small grove covered in vines. It serves it's purpose, and you can hear the lupes scampering away. Suddenly, when all has been silent, you stutter as you hear deadly hooves approaching, swift and fast

Slipping over the wet met, you run as fast as you can towards the moon. Mist and crawling bugs, writhing plant and creepy trees, everything here is so...scary. The hooves come closer and closer and...

AHHHHH!!!!

you scream, as you are lifted by your shirt and thrown into the air, landing on the back of something. it's green and has unusual wings, allowing it to move silently. "What the..." you say, wondering if it's a dream. The beast appears to be an ixi...a mutant one. Suddenly, howls of the lupes can be heard again, and the body underneath you speeds up as many of the pack appear near trees. The ixi would seem to be surrounded, and you prepare to be ripped apart when it lifts it's wings and scampers into flight.

About me

The moon is a big as a large bowl, glowing intently in the night sky, surrounded by twinkling stars. The ixi moves it's wings up and down making a fluttery sound as the wind passes under them, and you cling onto it's fur for dear life. "So" she says in a deep, yet gentle voice, almost making you fall off, "Why were you traveling out in the haunted woods alone? 'Tis no place for a human" she half sneers.

I..uhh..I was looking for some treasure that was said to be there, but I didn't realise how quickly it turns to night here" you explain, the wind soaring past your face as she glides into a small cave. "We should be safe here...hop off" the green mutant then says, as she begins leading you towards a light. "This is my home, it isn't much, but onthing is out here. I have to make it secluded so those lupes don't find it. I may be tough, but they could easily rip me apart" she inquires in a solemn voice.

I have lived around here ever since I was a baby, only by myself, a lone ixi left to be sneered at by passers-by. I had to learn the ways of the woods, and it has served me well" she contemplates, stamping one hoof and making two tree branches close in on the entrance to the cave, "I collect things like bracelets and necklaces, because as you said, the Haunted Woods are the perfect place for treasure"

I often collect things from around the area, scrubs, plants, mushrooms even. I suppose I really have to "scavenge" to get anywhere in my life.
