Restocking Tips

Okay so I take it you're here either by chance or to read my lovely guide on restocking=)
Still getting use to this no battle style.
When it comes to restocking, it is all about speed. The person who is quickest to find an item and enter the price will get the item.
In this guide I will give you tips on what items to go for and how to purchase the items quickly. I will also help you to price the items to your greatest advantage so you will be able to make the best profit whilst keeping it the right price so people will buy the item when they search for it.

Firstly we will start with the items to go for; of course it all depends on which shop you are going to begin restocking in. I would recommend anyone to start in the bookshop as this is an easy place to build up speed and the items are always going to make a profit.

Finding items and Haggling

In the bookshop the items that are likely to make the most profit and the items that will sell out first are the rarer items, they are not necessarily going to be more expensive though. These items range from around 500np to 10,000np.
You can usually tell which items are going to be rarer than other items stocked in the shop from how many are originally stocked when the shop restocks, as there will be about 1 or 2 in stock. I find the easiest way to get to the haggle screen is to look for items with few in stock, click, and press enter as quickly as you can. After you will come to the haggle screen shown below, I have also included an image of a stamp haggle screen so you can see some of the different items that are available.

Then you will have to click in the haggle box, once you get your speed up you will be able to automatically click in this box, as you will become familiar with where the box is. Then you will have to find the neopet in the image underneath this and click that to finalize the deal and buy the item you are trying to buy. With a bit of practice you will be able to enter the amount whilst having the cursor ready to click on the neopet.

Prices

For most items, you will be able to find an amount you can quickly put in, for some it is more difficult for example when the shopkeeper is asking 2000np for an item you will have to enter 1999 or 2111 as these are the quickest to put in. Both of which should work but 1999 would be harder to enter, as when you put in the prices it is quicker to use one hand, the other on the mouse ready to click to finalize the deal.

Here are a few examples of the prices you should be putting in for items.

Price asked for Price you should put in
500 477
900 888
1000 999
2000 1999 or 2111
3000 2999 or 3111
3500 3444 or 3555
4700 4666
5000 4444, 4555, 4666 etc
10,000 9999

Well you get the idea xD

These are the sort of prices that are nearest to the asking price as then you will not have to enter another amount because the shopkeeper feels the amount you are offering is too low, or –yes, some people do do it- the amount you are offering is too much.

Once you have offered and clicked on the neopet the next window will tell you if you have been successful in purchasing the item. It will either say

Or if you have been successful in purchasing the item

And you will have the item in your inventory.

Pricing

This is certainly the worst part I feel of restocking – pricing. However, it must be done if you want to sell your items and make a nice little profit.

You have a shop don't you? No!? What do you mean no? Well make one. It only costs 150np to open one, although it does help to increase the size of your shop if you haven't already. The price to upgrade your shop will increase with each upgrade by 200np from the upgrade previously, which isn't so bad when you have a shop size up to 20 - 30. Then it starts getting expensive, but if you restock enough you will have to increase the size to house all the pretty items you've restocked. At the time of writing this guide, my shop is about size 80 and will cost 16,000np on my next upgrade x_x
Anyways back to the point…Pricing!
The normal shop wiz which everyone will have is pretty easy to price with although can take a while and you may get wiz banned if you are pricing a lot of items, this just means you won't be able to use the wiz until that hour is up. Say you tire out your shop wiz and are banned at 11:35am NST you won't be able to use it again for another 25 minutes – well until 12pm NST. The shop wiz is a weird thing and the prices are grouped to the letter your name begins with.

You need to look for the prices where the first letter of your user name appears, as you will be able to put your items just under the lowest price of this group and sell the item easily and still make a bit more of a profit than you would if you put it the lowest of the lowest of the wiz.

If your user name begins with L for example. As Y and L are grouped together and you are trying to price Extra Meaty Sandwich, just search until you find all the user names beginning with these letters.

Shop Owner Item Searched Amount in Stock Price
Love_nite (Me!! xD) Extra Meaty Sandwich 2 5000np
Yusername Extra Meaty Sandwich 3 5100np
Lusername Extra Meaty Sandwich 5 5400np
Lusername Extra Meaty Sandwich 1 5500np
Y username Extra Meaty Sandwich 1 5555np

From this, you should price your item at 4900np or 4990np however much you are willing to go under the wiz by. This means you will sell your item as when people are searching for that item they will find your user name at the lowest of that category.

The Elusive Chocolate! Avatar

Okay so you have now learnt how to restock. Well learn as best as I could teach xD. So now it's time to move onto the Chocolate! Avatar.
Many people want this avatar and are usually asking for tips on how to get it, so I've made this guide :).
I don't really have much to say because I've explained a lot in the first part of this guide, so this is just for the items.
The shop restocks at :08 - :10 seconds past the minute when there's a restock.

One last thing.
It is better to be at least 3 months to attempt this avatar. That's because you only begin to see rarity 90-95 at 1 month old and at 3 months you can see all rarity items.

The Items

This is the easiest part of getting the avatar even though a lot of people are always stuck on what items will get you the avatar. Any item with a rarity 90-100 will get you the avatar, easy as that. But you don't know what items those are, and if you spent time going to look them up for the rarity by the time you got back they'd be gone. So how are you meant to know what items are the avatar items?
Simple.
Price.
Any items that are priced 5000np or more will get you the avatar. Some items will even come up as 10k so just be prepared. Some peoples computers don't load pictures that quickly making it harder to find the items, but if you look at the prices you'll be able to get the avatar quicker as you'll know you're going for the right items.
The best prices to put in for this is 4999 – the closet to 5k without making it hard to put in. If the item is 10 just put in 9999.

Mishaggling

This sadly does happen when you get nervous especially, (for me at least).
If you do mishaggle then just go back to the shop and buy an item that doesn't usually appear in there and make some profit. You will not get the item if you have mishaggled. Sorry D: . So it's always best to perhaps –however stupid it sounds – count how many numbers you are putting into the price box to make sure you end up with the right amount.

Item pictures

This will help some people so I will put pictures and the name of each avatar item. Just hold your mouse over the image to see what the item is.

F.A.Q.

Do I need to buy from the Chocolate Factory shop or can I just buy an item and feed it to my pet?
You need to buy it from the Chocolate Factory shop to get the avatar. Feeding it to your pet though will get you a gourmet club point=P

Just a few things...
Thankyou for visiting and I wish you the best of luck getting the avatar :).
