You are probably here because you want Black pteri avatar...
Follow these Steps to beat him....

Before we start, you Have to make sure that you have him as a challenger.
If you already have him, Skip on Down! If you don't, well good luck because finding him is random.
Try Playing Nequest II or Dice a Roo

to make pages fly by. Important!

Before you continue, I'd like to say a few words
This guide will not ensure a 100% victory against the
Black Pteri, We will not be responsible for your pet's Health, Thank you

Stats:

HP: 50 or over
Strength: 35 or over
Defense: 20 or over
Level: If you want Berserk, then 50.

Equipment:

Snowglobe Staff- about 2000np
Purple Sticky Hand- about 500-1000np
Fire Muffin x3- 2000np each
Scarab Ring x2- 2000np each
Greater Healing Scroll- about 30000np
(Just in case you're low on HP)
Alternative- Lesser Healing Scroll - 2500np

Abilities:

Fierce Attack
Burrow [Earth Faerie ability: 4, level 10]
Fiery Gaze [Fire Faerie ability: 3, level 6]
Heal [Water Faerie Ability: 1, level 1]
Sink [Dark Faerie Ability: 8, level 32]
[Preffered, but not needed]

Strategy

TURN 1:
Fiery Gaze † Purple Sticky Hand and Snowglobe Staff
[Purple Sticky Hand must steal, and Fiery Gaze or Snowglobe
Staff must freeze, if not, withdraw, heal, and try again]
TURN 2:
Fire Muffin x2 and Fierce Attack
TURN 3:
Thyoras Tear [That you stole] † Scarab Ring
TURN 4:
Fire muffin, Scarab Ring and Fierce Attack, or if you are
in danger of losing, use the Greater Healing Scroll
and 1 Fire Muffin.
TURN 5:
If he's still not dead, use the ability Heal with your 2 Scarab Rings.
He should, Or in fact MUST be dead now...

Note
The black Pteri sometimes hurts itself using a Hawk Wand
