I'm currently in the process of making a guide about how to downlaod and operate "firefox" (web browser) "Noscripts" & Adblock Plus (firefox add-ons)

These programs WILL make your browser safer and protect you from cookie grabber attack and all that good stuff. Feel free to send me feed back as I work on this guide.

With the recent cookie grabber attack on neopets and the growing concern on getting safer browser and programs, I though it might be the time to inform some users how to operate these programs. I'm not here to "sell" you the idea that these are the ones you should use. I will only show you what they are, how to download them and how they work. If you want to know how far these programs are better then others, I suggest you make your own research and form your own opinion.

BEFORE downloading any of these programs, I suggest you talk about it with your parents if the computer you're using is a family computer. Certain of these programs can alter the way your web browser will display certain pages if you don't set them right. If you do not understand some parts of these neomail "moravick" and also ask your parents if you can download these programs into their computer.



Firefox : It is a faster and safer browser then Internet explore. I wont be telling you much about it, its a "you should use it". If you want to know more about this browser, visit his official website. You need to install firefox in order to get "noscripts" and "adblock plus" anyways.

Noscripts : "Winner of the "2006 PC World World Class Award", this tool provides extra protection to your Firefox. It allows -disallowed_word-, Java and other executable content to run only from trusted domains of your choice, e.g. your home-banking web site, guarding your "trust boundaries" against cross-site scripting attacks (XSS) and Clickjacking attempts, thanks to its unique ClearClick technology."~ from firefox website. Basicaly, what it means for neopets is it will stop cookie grabber from working. Can't be more simple then that no? Well, not really. It's a bit more complicated that then in fact. We will see this later on.

Adblock plus : "Ever been annoyed by all those ads and banners on the internet that often take longer to download than everything else on the page? Install Adblock Plus now and get rid of them." ~firefox website With this description theres nothing to add, it will block advertisement. yay!!! Not that easy though teh-he.


First thing you need to do is to download firefox. Lets go ahead and do that :

1 : select your system operator (windows, linux , mac etc) and save the file.
2 : Run the application and from there, everything you need to do will be explained. Select firefox as your default web browser and install this baby!
