The sun is setting. The wind dies down. The banging of hooves against bricks and ringing of bells echoes in the distance. The hooves come closer and closer until you can see a white mare in the distance. She comes closer until you can make out how she looked. Her coat shined almost as brilliantly as the sun, her silver mane swayed slowly as the breeze blew. She had a gray, almost silver muzzle and a horn made of pure gold. Her golden hooves clang against the brick path until she reaches the field. She stopped and strecthed her silver tipped wings as if she were showing off her beauty.
The then closed her wings and stared up into the sunset. A butterfly landed on her nose as she stared as if she were waiting for someone. She sighed, the butterfly still perched on her nose. The mare notices your presence and shakes her head making the butterfly flutter away. She turns and gallops toward you, stretching her head out and sniffing you. You hold still in fear she might attack. I smell fear coming from you. Do not worry, I wouldn't harm anything in nature intentionally." She says, "My name is Farina, forgive my suspicsion, it's just not often that an outsider comes into castle grounds." You stare at her in bewilderment. She sighs and points her head to a majestic castle in the distance. You now move your head and stare at the castle. "My home." She sighs, "You still seem confused. Come, I will tell everything." The mare leads you through a hidden path behind a wall of hedge. The path winds, twists and turns until it finally ends in a secluded garden away from civilization. The green grass was entirely replaced with a field of flowers of all sorts of different colors and the sky was fogged with storms of pink petals, some of which fell from the branches making it rain pink. Farina trots past you and sits on a bed of flowers. "Come sit, I will tell you everything... ~ Story ~ I was born to a royal family, somewhere in the mountain kingdom of Ilise. I had no sibling beside's my sister who I loved very much. We both lived in our father's castle for he was the king. I loved my father but sometimes he annoyed me. He kept reminding Madarone (sister) and I about our duties as princesses though we just wanted to have fun.
I think I was about 14 when my father would pass on his duties as ruler to one of us...one being the main word. Though he resented it, royal law stated that there can only be one ruler of the kingdom. So one of us would have to be sent away...and Madarone was chosen. She wept, I wept. But there was nothing we could do. We had only one week left with each other.
The grass was drowned with a collage of different colored flowers and the sky was masked with a ceiling of cherrry blossom leaves. It was so amazing yet...mysterious. Madarone stood there just staring. I approched Madarone. "Farina, this will be OUR garden." She sighed. I simply smiled and sat myself down on the flowers, I tear running down my cheek as soon as the thought of sis being gone in two days. A few days passed and I decided to write Madarone a letter. I sent it hoping she would write back. Soon enough I got a letter back but not from Madarone. I'm very sorry, but on our way down the mountain, she missed a turn and the carriage was sent flying of the mountain side. Your sister was apparantly dead when I checked her pulse. I brought her to a nearby village for a funeral. I can probably deduce that she already has a grave. I'm deeply sorry...Was what the letter read. I was shocked and heartbroken. I started to tear up. But that wouldn't help. I ran away from the castle and flew looking for that village...she couldn't be dead. Bells
