She doesn't know how to behave herself in situations like these. ^___^ As she already said, this petpage is not entirely finished yet. I have Draik adopties in the make and many other graphics still have to be created. About Eftelding:

Eftelding was named after a dutch fairytale park called "The Efteling". All things living in that fairytale world are called "Efteldingen", meaning "Eftel-things" ^___^. When I created Eftel 4 years ago as a Zafara, I had just been in that park again so that's where her name comes from ^__^. Since she has become her own character I started calling her Eftel or Efu (short for Efuteru, which is what my Japanese neofriend called her xD). Eftel is my number 1 pet. I train her in the training school, she's a real battler, but only one player, because she does not wish to fight other pets. When evil monster attack, though she's right there on the front line! Eftel also likes to read books, working for faeries (both, quests and the employment agency) and she loves to participate in plots. Despite all my efforts she still hates being in the Beauty Contest, eventhough she finally won gold. She simply does not like all the attention. But see, that doesn't stop me. I'm just telling her that if she does her best and wins gold, she's off the hook for several months. Does wonder to her motivation!

Eftel's looks explained:

Okay some people ask me why Eftel is wearing raggedy clothes and has feather wings, eventhough she is a Royal Draik. Well Let me explain. First of all in Neopets terms, Eftel is not a pure Draik, meaning she was transmorphed and not hatched from an egg. This in itself doesn't mean anything and it's not part of her storyline but it made me think I should make her distinguishable from other draiks. Since I sorta mutated Eftel into a Draik I thought it could have caused an extra mutation in her new Draik DNA and since I don't like those leathery Draik wings, I made them swan/angel wings xD. Her clothes aren't as fancy as those of a royal Draik because Eftel didn't grow up royally. Read her story below to find out what happened. Since her travels take her through all of Neopia, her clothes have also gotten dirty and grey. ^_^ And lastly, why is she so human-looking? Well, Royal pets are already more anthro than most other Neopets, they walk on their hind legs, and they wear clothes. I really like the anthro style where their body is mostly human but their faces still represent the animal they originate from. So that's why I draw her like that :)


Background Story:

Eftelding was found as a hatchling, abandoned on the steps of the Ashitaka estate. Master Ashitaka, a teacher of Martial Arts and a respected Nobleman took her in and raised her as if she was his own daughter. With Etfelding came a scroll, which he kept hidden from the young Draik girl. Eftel grew up training martial arts every day and learning about Neopia and Art and Literature as well as Music and History. When she grew into a young adult Ashitaka employed her as a Ninja and sent her on Rescue Missions, or to deliver important and very wanted artifacts. During this time Eftel perfected her Ninja skills. One day when she returned from a mission she was called to Ashitaka's rooms. He was lying in bed, looking pale and exhausted. When she sat down beside him she knew he was dying. He slowly handed her the scroll that had come with her as a baby. He said he was sorry that he had kept it hidden for so long but it was for her own protection. When she held his hands he closed his eyes and passed on. In the following days Eftel read and re-read the scroll many times. Eftel always knew she had been found as a hatchling but she did not know that she had been abandonned for her own protection and that the scroll was pleading with whoever would find her to protect her and love and raise her as one of their own. Still in pain from the loss of her Oji-san and master and at awe at his kindness she made the decision to pack up and go into the world to find out who had written this scroll and why, and ultimately, where she came from and who she really was.

She met Captain Midriel of the Black Star and is now traveling with her and her crew across the seas of Neopia.


Eftel's Friends:

Snjó: Snjó is sort of Eftel's horse, but it's not as easy as that. See, Snjó is a changeling, meaning she can change her form. She will change into a green uni, which is her most common form, when Eftel needs to ride on her, but otherwise she could be anything or anyone. Tishirah: This royal Cybunny is on the same ship as Eftel. Tishi has run away from home, away from her father, King King Therador because he wants to marry her to young Master Lestarion which Tishi just refuses to do. Midriel: This is not your average Royal Kougra, it's been a long time since Midriel has turned her back on her roots. She is now a renegate, a wannabe Pirate and Captain of the Black Star. She keeps her crew together in tight situations and she's kind enough to let fugitives and determined travelers aboard her ship.
