Latest News on the Clan

Yes, the Clan is back, visit it at draikclan dot com. Because of the sudden influx of members and people refreshing pages, the website's server might poof on occassion. Be patient, its a free server, and the person handling that server in his free hours after work is doing the best he can.

Drac has been so kind to give up his page for the Clan, but he isn't around much anyway. Why, you ask? Well, because of the Clan, ofcourse! Being one of it's leaders, he tends to be away most of the time ;)

Anyway, you came here to find out a bit more about the Clan, so I'll start with a bit of history. Winter 2002, I created Dracahz, and came with the brilliant idea to list all Draiks after I discovered that finding another Draik to roleplay with or Draik owners to exchange art with was harder then I thought. So I boldly contacted all draik owners I could find, and when a few started replying, I started my little database, right here, on this page. And a list of names and descriptions was all it was for the first few weeks... then I met Michi, who enthousiastically teamed up with me to mold my little list into an interactive website. Later on, Seph joined our little international team, and from there on the website expanded rapidly. Named the Draik Clan, my list evolved into a community that is not only a Draik fansite, but also a haven for people to roleplay, exchange art and stories, and create worlds of their own! While us 3 girls take care of administration and add a few pages here and there, members have access to their own private forum, messagesystem and Oekaki. Aided by a team of voluntary Moderators, the Clan is now a lovely place to simply... hang out ;)

The Clan is not a guild, and never will be. Why? Because the draiks are the members, not the humans who 'own' them. Therefor, owning a Draik is a must if you want to join. Yes, we are exclusive, but I find the 600† members I already have more then enough to handle ;)
Mind, while there are guilds around with names that resemble our website, they are in NO way connected to us.
