25th July: Wait a second... Crystal page almost reached 3300 hits :) Minor updates and added some links to other xweetoks.

29th April: Updated the Xweetok history, finished the everything Xweetok-list. Also added the new Xweetok versions to Xweetok colors.

31st January: Changed layout and started to update all the content (especially the Xweetok history part and the family section). I'm not done, so her page will probably be down for a week or more.

29th November: Xweetok day! Tomorrow is Crystal's birthday! (Yep, she's among the oldest Xwees in Neopia and 30th November was Xweetok day 2005).

My Story:

* * * How I came to Neopia * * *

My clearest memory before I came to this place called "Neopia", is a dark forest. Almost no light touches the ground, and the trees seems to reach the sky. There's hardly any vegetation on the ground, only dark soil.
Altought that, the place feels cosy. I used to live there once.
On the tree branches dozens of Xweetoks are playing, jumping from tree to tree, chasing each other. I was one of them. I was, and still am, around 15 years. I was trying to catch up with some younger Xweetoks, but they where all to quick for me. My mother was sitting in one of the tree tops nearby. She was a beutiful Xweetok, with fire patterns on her feets and tail.
One of her friends came and they began to talk. I knew she should be busy for a while, so I began following the older Xweetoks. When I think back at it, they can't have been more than a few years older than me. However, I looked up to them in that time.
The leader suddenly decided to leave the treetops and ran north. The others followed him. I did to, of course.
No matter how fast I ran, the distance between us became bigger and bigger. Soon I could only see a distant shadow of the slowest Xweetok.
I didn't care. They always did like this.
Afterwards, I regret that I didn't ran straight home when I could no longer see them.
It wasn't hard to follow them. You could clearly see their tracks on the ground. I felt excited. When they ran this far from home, it always meant they where going somewhere where they shouldn't be. I began to think of all places I been to that I didn't even know existed before I began to follow them.
Suddenly the tracks changed direction. I stopped. My mother had said to me so many times that I was absolutely not to go east of the bird cliff. Terrible monsters is living there, she had told me.
It was a stupid decision, but I began to follow the tracks again, and soon I had passed the bird-shaped cliff. The trees slowly decreased, and more and more grass was growing on the ground. I was getting tired. How long should they be running? Couldn't they stop soon?
It was almost no trees around me by now. I ran up a hill and saw the most terrifying sight I've ever seen in my whole life.

A great plain was stretching as far as I could see. The grass was as green you could think of. Some large bushes had decided to grow here and there on the plain. There was also a few things shaped like a tree, but only a couple metres high.
But no trees. No real trees. That was the same as going out defenceless! No place to take cover in if an enemy approched. I was terrified.

I started to turn around, when I suddenly noticed that the Xweetok tracks was gone. I had been running too far and hadn't notice that the tracks stopped. I didn't knew what to do. Everything looked the same, there was almost no trees to go after, only grass that tickled my feets. The sunlight was way too bright. I began to run in the direction I thought I came from.
After a couple hundred metres, and no increase of trees, I changed direction.
When I think back at it, I must have looked very funny running around in circles. At that time though, all I had in mind was to get out of this scary place with the bright sunlight that hurt my eyes.
It must have been my lucky day, I thought then, because at the sunset, I heard voices from other Xweetoks. You couldn't avoid to hear their them, it sounded like they was fighting.
I ran the fastest I could, which sadly wasn't fast at all. Try to run around in circles for half a day and you will see.
They where still fighting when I finally arrived.
I tried to stay out of sight, so I hide myself behind some bushes and slowly, slowly creept closer to some bushes a bit closer to the other Xweetoks. It had finally hit me that they probably wouldn't be happy at all to see me. They must have thought that I stopped following them after they got out of my sight.
Suddenly they stopped fighting. One of them, a red Xweetok, whispered something to the others. They looked right at my hiding-place.
And they ran.
No!!!" I screamed. "Don't abandon me! Please stay, slow down!
But they didn't. They ran the fastest they could. My voice was to weak for them to hear, or maybe they heard it and ignored it. I got this creepy feeling that something was really wrong. I began to run, faster and faster. I wanted to get out of this place. Now.
Why did I ever followed them? Thoughts like that was in my mind.
My only delight was that it was easy to follow them in grass, it was after all over fifteen Xweetoks. The trees increased again. That odd feeling while running on grass was slowly replaced with the welcome feeling of mud and dirt again.
I caught a glimse of the bird-shaped cliff behind a tree sometimes.
Then my powers decided to fail me.
My legs couldn't carry me anymore, so I fell. I lay there a bit and felt how tired I really was. I couldn't take a step more. Every part of my body ached. I never felt how hungry I was while running around. My stomach ached, and I didn't even had the strenght to walk to the fruit tree ten metres away.
The sun was going down, you couldn't see it anymore. Everything bathed in a golden light. The horizont was in an extreme red color.
I must have fallen to sleep, because that is the last thing I remember of that day.

I woke up cold and very hungry. Everything was pitch black. My first thought wasn't "where am I?" I've always been quick to wake up. The moment I wake up, I'm awake, not drowsy in half an hour.
My first thought was that I missed my family and our cosy litle home among a giant tree's roots.
I shuddered. At least I could walk now. My stomach reminded me of it's existence and I slowly began to walk towards that fruit tree I saw last night.
I found it and started to eat all the fruits that I could reach. I never really liked that kind of apples that grew there, those in Neopia are loads better. However, that day I didn't care how they tasted. It was food, and that was enough.
Soon enough, I slowly began my journey home. I past the bird-shaped cliff and turned south. Soon I came into areas that I knew. I began to run faster. As I ran, a tiny part of my brain kept telling me that something is wrong. I got the same feeling as last night.
I wasn't far from my home and still no Xweetoks to be seen. "That's strange", I thought. "It use to be atleast someone awake at this time.
The feeling got stronger, and I dashed to my home. I had only eyes for the way I taken so many times before. Right to the big tree, pass the rock then left again...
I stopped. And stared at the roots that was the entrace to our home.
Something with big, sharp claws had made big marks on it. I looked around. I must have been blind when I ran. Everywhere, on the trees, ground and rocks, you could see marks of claws. Some roots had been broken appart, and it isn't any small things.
What has happend here?", I thought.
Mum?", I said in a low voice and ran into our house. "MUM!!!
No one answered. It was all quiet. Not a single sound anywhere, and yet everything looked perfectly normal inside my house, exactly the way it did when I left yesterday morning.
I slowly walked outside and couldn't belive that this was happening to me. It was like a nightmare.
I began to walk. I didn't care where I would end up. I was in my own thoughts.
Did they really abandon me? But the Xweetok gang must have seen me! They looked right at me!
A dark growl woke me up from my thoughts. I turned around. There was no one there. I started to walk faster. I herd the dark growl again, closer this time. I quickly started to run. Some twigs close to me made a huge sound when they broke apart, as a large cat-like thing stepped on them. I heard a huge roar as a large mutant Kougra appeared.(of course I didn't know what it was then, for me it was something with big claws and teeths)
His big eyes stared at me, as he ran to catch me. I was nothing else than a prey for him. I've never seen a bigger Kougra in whole my life. He was more than a meter and a half high, with a awful green fur-color. The claws was sharp as.. I don't know what to say, sharper than ANYTHING!
I knew I wouldn't be able to run away from him. With every five-metres-leap he did, I ran one metre.
I jumped up in a tree, he followed. I was desperate. I was jumping from tree to tree with no plan what to do. I got the feeling he played with me.
In one of my leaps, I saw a glimpse of something big and purple on the ground. A moment later a big darigan Kougra looked at me from a branch. He made an evil grin and started to chase me. One second I was close to the river. In another second I was there. I had no more trees to jump to. I couldn't jump into the river, the currents would drag me down to the bottom of it. I quickly turned around. Too quickly. I fell from the tree, towards the river. It felt like the branch under my feets disappeared. I looked at the Kougras in the trees while I was falling. I remember myself thinking that it was a quite odd sight, with the two Kougras there, in the trees. They didn't seem to belong up there, at least not those two.
The world around me got freezing cold as I fell into the river. The currents dragged me down to the bottom. My ears hurt and I struggled to get up to the surface. I couldn't, no matter how hard I tried.
Suddenly the current dragged me up to the surface. I took a deep breath just to find myself falling from a waterfall...

I opened my eyes. I had made it. I had succeded to escape from the Kougras.
I was all alone on a white beach. I can't understand how I survived that waterfall or how I came to that beach. But I did. It must have been a miracle or something.
That beach was my first sight of Neopia.
I travelled wide and far to find my lost family again. I hadn't found any food in weeks, and I was very tired. I was desperate. I decided to test my luck and I knocked on a door to a house. It was Caroline's neohome, but I didn't know that then. A red Acara opened the door. She seemed suprised to see me. No wonder, as I was thin as a leaf and she'd probably never seen an Xweetok in whole her life. She invited me in and and was very friendly to me. After I had told her my story (what I could remember from it) and she felt sorry for me and said that I could stay as long as I wanted. So I have Katt, as the Acara's name was, to thank for my life. If she hadn't invited me I probably would have starved to death.
I've stayed in that neohome ever since, but one day I will go and look for my lost family again, or atleast find out what really happened to them the day I "disappeared".

Before I came to Neopia, the flame-patterns on my body was red and yellow, instead of the blue color they have today. I could summon flames hotter than magma just by flapping my wings. But I couldn't fly very far (it took all my powers just to levitate) with them at that time, because they where heavier and more solid than the wings I have now.

After I fell into that ice-cold river though, the flames on my body turned blue and my wings became lighter and even a bit translucent. I could no longer summon hot flames, because the flames that appeared was blue and colder than ice, ice in the shape of fire. But it wasn't until I tried to fly I noticed the biggest difference. I could fly as high I wished and as far I wanted without growing tired, as I always did before when I tried to take long flights.
Sometimes, though, when I gets really, really angry, I'm still able to summon flames hotter than magma.
I don't remember much of my family, though. I can't even remember if I had (or have) any siblings... I lost my memories when I fell from that waterfall, and all I can seem to remember now is my mother and the day before I was chased by Kougras.
When I first came to neopia I couldn't even remember my name. It wasn't until a few days later I remembered that my name was Crystalline. So there isn't much more I can say about my life before I came to Neopia.

Xweetok History:
This is what I know about the Xweetoks history in Neopia. It not that much but, hmm, here it is:

November 2005:
29th (Xweetok Day): The Xweetok specie were discovered 29th November 2005. Nobody is sure where they came from, and it still remains a mystery (except for the Xweetoks themself)

Anyway, to celebrate the discovery of a new Neopet, a whole bunch of new things were released. A default xweetok avatar was created, and four new battledome equipments and three new books was made (Leather Xweetok Helmet, Lightweight Xweetok Spear, Xweetok Battle Batons, Xweetok Boots Of Speed and Time For Xweetok Talk, Xweetok Heads Up, Discover Xweetoks).

To celebrate Xweetoks even more, four new shopkeepers was also released (in the basic colors) and the Caption contest was all about the Xweetok (Caption 647).
Except for the basic colors, Xweetoks could be painted striped and cloud.

December 2005:
2nd: Xweetoks could be painted Snow
6th: Xweetoks could be given a Starry look at the rainbow pool.

9th: The very first Island Xweetok was discovered in Neopia.
12th: A yellow Xweetok was throwing snowballs in the Caption contest starting that day (Caption 657)
15th: A Spotted xweetok made its first appearence.
16th: A cracker with a Xweetok on it was released (Starry Xweetok Cracker)
22nd: A Ghost Xweetok showed up in Neopia for the first time.
23rd: A Xweetok was in the caption contest (caption 657) for the third time, red in this caption. It seemed to freeze alot.
29nd: A Xweetok sketch background was introduced. Same day a happy new year 2006 NeoGreeting was released just waiting to be used. It featured a red Xweetok.

January 2006:
4th: This day, many Xweetok themed things were released.
First out, 4 Xweetok plushies in the basic colors blue, green, red and yellow. A colouring page with two Xweetoks throwing snowballs at each other was also available for everyone to print out. Lastly, Xweetoks could be painted Brown. 9th: The Faerie Xweetok made it's first appearence.
10th: A Xweetok could be painted Pink
12th: Xweetoks can be painted Shadow. A Xweetok birthday greeting featuring a red Xweetok is also available.
18th: The Xweetok makes its fourth apperence in the caption contest, this time it was a yellow one (caption 667).
20th: 20th January a Day Dreaming Xweetok Gnome was available in the shops, also, four new Xweetok books was introduced: The Lonliest Xweetok, Xweetok Happy Times, Adventure Bound Xweetok and Love, Laughs, Xweetoks.
26th: The Xweetoks finally got their own fun images. Six to be exact.
26th: A caption contest (caption 672) with a Xweetok holding a Noil started. The Xweetok was blue.

February 2006:
7th: The Xweetok was added to the how-to-draw section.
8th: A Chocolate Xweetok Biscuit was released among many other biscuits.
13th: Xweetoks could be painted Baby for the first time. Of course, a baby Xweetok was in the the caption contest (caption 678) starting that day.
15th: The Flower Picking Xweetok Gnome was released.

February 2006:
11th: The Xweetok got another color to choose from at the rainbow pool, Sketch.
16th: The Ice Xweetok showed up in Neopia and you could buy a Xweetok Full Armor for the first time.
25th: The Purple Xweetok was seen in neopia for the first time..

April 2006:
8th: A hideous Mutant Xweetok made its first appearence. Around that time, the first Xweetok Transmogrification Potion was released.
21th: Kauvara made the first Xweetok Morphing Potions for sale. They came in the four basic colors (red, blue, green and yellow).
Also Xweetok is prounouced zwee-tock, according to the editorial in the Neopian Times that week.

May 2006:
23rd: The Xweetoks finally got their own meals!
Four foods featuring Xweetok was released: Xweetok Burger, Cheese Xweetok, Chocolate Xweetok Ice Cream Sandwich and Cherry Xweetok Cupcake.

June 2006:
2nd: You could choose your Altador Cup team for the first time. The only team with a Xweetok in it was Faerieland, named Palia Alback.

9th: A Faerieland background picture was available to show you support for Faerieland in the Altador Cup. You could see Palia the Xweetok at the bottom of it.
16th: The Baby Xweetok Plushie was released.

July 2006:
27th: The first Fire Xweetok was released according to the news, however, you couldn't paint you Xweetok until some week afterwards.
28th: A blue Xweetok was throwing waterballoons in the Caption contest (caption 725).

August 2006:
15th: A new Xweetok shopkeeper was released (Xweetok - Fisherman Profession).
30th: A new school-themed shopkeeper featuring a Xweetok was realesed (Xweetok - School Teacher).

September 2006:
15th: Another brand-new shopkeeper was relesed, this time it was a rich Xweetok counting money (Xweetok - Rich!).

October 2006:
- Nothing Xweetok -

November 2006:
5th: A background with a Xweetok in it was released (Bonfire background).
29th (Xweetok Day): The second Xweetok day! Okay, where to start...
The Camoflague and White Xweetok were released, together with three new greeting cards (Xweetok Hi!, Happy Xweetok Day 1 and Happy Xweetok Day 2).

Xweetok day wouldn't be complete without some Xweetok-related items for sale, so TNT released 4 brand new books and foods, all about Xweetoks. The books were: Xweetok Guide To Flying, Xweetok Cut N Paste Book, Xweetok Ice Breakers and Xweetok Grooming and here's the list of food released: Berry Xweetok Ice Cream, Xweetok Bologna Sandwich, Xweetok hot chocolate and Xweetok Vegetable Soup.
Anyway, three new Xweetok fun images was also released, featuring a crying baby Xwee, a flying faerie Xweetok and a ghost Xweetok.

As you probably guessed by now, four new shopkeepers were also released to keep Neopias more than 5 and a half million Xweetoks happy. To be more exact, it were a Baby Xweetok holding a ball, a Mutant Xweetoks looking like he/she wants some money from you, a dancing Island Xweetok and a Shadow Xweetok holding an orange balloon (Xweetok - Playful Baby, Xweetok - Welcoming Mutant, Xweetok - Dancing Island and Xweetok - Floating Shadow).

Of course, Xweetok got their free training, the userlookup of the week had a Xweetok themed lookup and the poems were all Xweetok themed.
That's it. Nothing more Xweetok on that day. Not even an avatar.

December 2006:
15th: Avast! Xweetoks could be painted Pirate for the first time.

January 2007:
30th: A new Caption contest with a Mutant Xweetok in it started (caption 777)

February and March 2007:
Nothing. April 2007:
27th: All Xweetoks (together with all pets) gets a redraw. Faerie Xweetoks have the option to stay the same.

Palia Alback

She made her first appearence 2nd June 2006 in the Altador Cup and she was the only Xweetok who participated in the Altador Cup that year. She was Faerieland's right forward, but didn't show up for the Altador Cup next year.
