Concerning Me

Can I be your neofriend?
It's nothing personal, but I very seldom accept neofriends (hence why I have my requests turned off). I am by no means a elitist that does not think you are worthy of being my friend, but you must understand. If a person you never met just walked up to you in the middle of the street without saying 'hi' and asked you to be his/her friend, how would you react? So when I get neomail for friend request from people I've never spoken to then my first instinct is just to delete the message. A friendship takes time and communication to build.

What's with the yoyo addiction?
It all started with me trying to get the packrat avatar. I would constantly restock at the Igloo Garage and happened to restock a whole bunch of yoyos, and I couldn't bear to sell them once I got the avatar so I made a collection. I have currently 28 out of 33 (including the two new ones). I hope to get enough NP to get them all, but I'm just trying to save right now as I am not a rich neopian. As of right now, I'm putting yoyos on hold for stamps since those can get me avatars.

Will you make me a User Lookup? Can I use your UL?
No to both. I simply do not have the time to create UL for random people. I mean I barely update my guide and screen caps. As for using my UL html, that's a definite NO since it is not mine to give out. I'm sure if you go around to other sites you can find some nice pre-made ones.

Concerning my Guide

How did you come up with your guide?
I was doing research on if we could determine our prize for the Wheel of Monotony (WOM) because when I was looking at the html for the page I saw that there was a random number assigned each time you went to the page. So I pulled the entire link and put the flash game in its own window and tried with the same random number to see if I would get the same result. It didn't work and yes, I waited the entire time for the wheel to stop spinning. I do not think it's possible to choose what prize you want. I think maximized the window by chance and saw the xml and figured out what it was for. So on my next spin I copied all the information over and tested to see if you could know what you're going to get as soon as you spin. Then after parsing all the information, I wrote a guide. That is the guide you see on AmaterasuChan's page

I got this prize number and didn't get the prize on the list!! You're guide is WRONG!!
First off, I have stated in my guide that the list is not all inclusive. It will give you an idea of what you will get. Please do not yell at me if you are suppose to get the 20k neopoints and get a Monotony avatar instead. I do not know all the possible prizes are. I even got a neomail telling me that the scroll/poster can give out a job coupon. This is a growing list that I can only update periodically because of time constraints.

Is your guide considered cheating?
The only thing that you obtain from my guide is information and nothing more. Everything is still determined by the Neopets server; you cannot choose what prize you get or how short/long the time will be. I do not see how knowing information to help you make a decision is cheating. You will find out your prize eventually, but isn't instant gratification better?

Can I copy your guide?
This is a delicate topic since I see people copy my guide and claim it as their own repeatedly. I'm rather upset when I come across them. When I neomail the owners they either do no reply or claim that they 'worked so hard, so please don't make me take it down'. I don't understand why you would claim to work so hard when you just copy and paste it. As for the non reply I take it as an admission of guilt. Now if you want to copy my guide for your guild or translate it into another language, please ask me. Usually I'm more than happy if you provide a link back to me, but please ask me first.

Have more questions? Neomail and if I get enough of a single question I'll add it to my list. That's all for now.

I started playing neopets as a freshman in college. My highschool friend came across the site and introduced me to it. I was hooked! I played religiously for about a year and then I lost interest. I got on every now and then to see how my pets were and fed them, but I'm sad to say most of the time they were starving. It wasn't until September 2004 did I resumed playing full on.

I am a full time college student with a part time job so I do not play as often as some people, but I do get my time in whenever I can.
