Neopian Heart was founded on December 20th, 2003, so when we say "old-school" we mean it quite literally! We are a diverse community of Neopians who sought out a way to escape the mundane day-to-day routine. NH is a place to meet new people, discuss important issues (Illusen or Jhudora? =o), and form lasting bonds. By creating an environment where everyone is accepted, we hope to inspire a positive change in the world around us. NH's vision is one of a world where people from all different places can come together, despite differences among them -- this is what we feel it means to have a "Neopian Heart".

For nearly five years, the guild world has stood in awe as we continually defy the rules of guild-creating. Not only are we still here, but we continue to be an active example of what is possible when people come together to contribute some part of themselves to a greater purpose.

Moreover, we hope that by now you have seen that guilds are not always for the short-term. In cases like Neopian Heart, some guilds are simply timeless.

Summer is now beginning to decay. Tomato plants are bearing their last gifts, mothers are clawing at each other over the last Hannah Montana backpacks for their daughters, and chlorine-saturated pools whimper as they say goodbye to their last inhabitants for the year.

Yes, this all sounds very depressing. But you know what they say... when life gives you lemons, it's time to disco! Wait, that is the saying, right? O___O

Stellar Stories We want to hear your groovy tale, all about that one night when the disco ball spun... Write a fictional tale about a disco your character attended -- the character can be you, your mom, or even Mr. Pawkeet! The maximum length is six paragraphs, and the minimum is two. The best writer will receive guild poll admin and a trophy. :)

Dancing All Around Anyone who advertises NH on three different guildless topics AND takes a screenshot of their post will receive a "Funktastic" award for their userlookup... but of course, there's a catch.

You must use...

Groovy" and "Far-out" in your advertisement.

The phrase "disco all night long" in your advertisement.

Karaoke Time! Periodically, members are will hopefully post lyrics from their favorite songs for other members to guess. If three separate members post lyrics for others to guess, the entire guild will receive a surprise. Ooh, ahh!

MONTHLY MEETING

NH Members are invited to attend a meeting on September 20th to discuss plans for October. It will start at 11 am (NST), and will adjourn when the council feels we've covered all important issues. :)
