Hello there! I'm Sarilain and welcome to my page of arts.

While I'm not the most uh-mazing artist or a super duper coder, I have a bunch of fun making cute little scribbles. So here's Sari's Arts; what better way to share my love of doodling with the rest of Neopia?

Many different graphics are offered on this site, from adoptables and free use arts, to user lookups and backgrounds. I don't take requests due to time constraints , however I always appreciate feedback so feel free to drop me a line! If you have a question though, please check my FAQ's section first, because I've answered the most common queries there.

And that's about it, hope you enjoy the art!

I finally moved the page to Cakie's petpage so Sjutin can be traded off. I'll eventually get the layout redone and rename Sari's Arts to "Cakie!", just a little busy working on some charms for the lovely Charter folks for the next couple weeks.

I'm Sarilain, the self-proclaimed Queen of Aisha and random scribbler of all things cute. There's just something about sparkly, bug-eyed characters that really makes me happy... if I went too long without them I'd be a mess.x3

My username comes from my favourite band, The Brilliant Green, a Japanese rock group. Their fans call them Buri Guri. Their singer, Tomoko Kawase is definitely my favourite artist on the entire face of this planet. Aside from that, I also enjoy Kpop, Kdramas, and video games in my spare time.

I've been playing Neopets since sometime in 2001 I think, my oldest surviving account is gabbi_isdabomb. I mostly use this site for artwork now, but in the past I've enjoyed running my own guild among other things. And I think that's pretty much it about me.

How do you make your art?
I use Gimp (it's like a free Photoshop) and a Bamboo Fun tablet (cost me 60 USD). It doesn't get much cheaper than this folks.

Why haven't you answered my mail?
If it's something already listed here, I might not respond. Otherwise, give me a week or two to reply, I'm usually pretty busy. If you still don't hear from me, feel free to resend your mail. I may have accidentally skipped over you; my inbox floods sometimes!

Information: Mini Arts are my equivalent of the pixels, vectors, and scribbles other sites offer. The image will not exceed 200px square, but may feature your Neopet, a Neopian item, or any Neo-appropriate real life object/animal. You may request two if the design is simple and doesn't include any animations. For example, a basic candy cane pattern would be easily finished under twenty minutes, but a Kacheek eating a candy cane would take longer. Simple animations are available, so don't forget to ask. However, you must agree to let others use the image as a Free Use Art.

About animations: These turn out a little grainy, I may create them larger than necessary and give you the option to re-size on your page for better quality.

How do you choose a request?

Since it's titled Art Promotion and not Art Requests, the waiting list will NOT be filled on a "first come, first served" basis. Instead, I will randomly select at least one person a day and add them to the list. There are no criteria to be chosen, and new faces are just as welcome as close friends.

This might seem unfair at first. However, if I took the first five requests only, these events would end so quickly hardly anyone new would hear about them. Also, if someone wanted to request from me, but they weren't online at the same time they would miss the opportunity! Instead, I'd like to give an equal chance to everyone, and give Sari's Arts a better chance to get heard.

If you weren't chosen this time around, no worries! You are always welcome to ask again next time. Chances are, if I keep seeing your name pop up at every promotion, I'll probably remember you from the last times and make it a priority to serve you first.

I was really mad at first, when mom said she was taking over my petpage to display her arts. I mean, c'mon, this is MY PAGE! Not some dumb art dump. But now that the site is finally complete, I'm really happy, because I get to meet all kinds of new friends, just like you, buri_guri! And I think this means I'm my mommy's favourite, 'cause she always spends the most time with me, heehee!

Now this is Plushums, my plushie Angelpuss. He's not really real, I don't think, he never does anything... But really strange things happen when he's around! One time I started crying because this mean bully in class stole my favourite blankie, I had it since I was a baby. But all of a sudden, he was stuck upside down in a tree and I got my blankie back! Then it was his turn to cry! That silly boy was afraid of heights I guess, what a pushover.xD
