Bonjour. Je m'appelle…excuse me… my name is Bruire. You'll have to pardon mon Français. I am not very good at this…English.

Allow me tell you a little about myself.

I have been training in the art of swordsmanship. My dream has always been to join His Majesty's elite guard and become a great Musketeer. After growing a little older I continued on my journey to become a royal musketeer. With my steed Mateja by my side, I traveled the countryside honing my skills and making quite a good name for myself among the nobles… and the nobles' daughters ;) I guess you could say I'm quite the charmer.
But that is unimportant! I recently proved my worthiness to the King himself and have been accepted into his royal guard. It's been like a dream come true… but you'll have to read the whole story in my journal :)

Mateja was a gift to me from my father. He had an old Whinny that was expecting a foal the spring I planned to leave on my quest to become a musketeer. I was planning to leave very early and not expecting to be around for the birth. But, of course, things do not always go as one expects! Not long before I was planning to leave, my father came rushing into my room on an early morning, very excited. He told me that his Whinny had had her foal (much earlier than planned) and it was very sick. He said he would need my help if we were to save the tiny filly.

I could not help but assist my father- he had done so much for me after all- and so I promised to postpone my journey in order to help him raise the new Whinny. The first time I saw her feeble little form in the stable, I knew it was a… how do you say?... match made in heaven. I spent every waking moment with the tiny Whinny for the next few weeks and we became quite attached. When she was able to walk steadily, she would follow me out of the stable and prance along to keep me company as I did my chores.

And finally when she was old enough to be by herself, I knew it was time to resume my dream. I told my father when I planned to leave and woke up early that morning to gather my things. Just as I was headed through the gate of our house my father called me. "N'oubliez-vous pas quelqu'un? (Aren't you forgetting someone?)" he said. I turned to find him standing next to the filly, who had a bow tied in her mane. He told me that he wanted me to take her with me, to be my steed and companion on my journey. I thanked greatly and said goodbye, promising to return once I had made something of myself.

Now that the Whinny was mine, I had to give her a name. Since she was a precious gift to me, I named her Mateja, which means 'Gift of God.

Ever since that day, Mateja has been a loyal and true friend. Once she was strong enough, she carried my packs on her back, making for a much more comfortable journey, and soon after, she was able to carry me too. But more than anything, I enjoy her company. Without her, even my few visits with the noble ladies would not be enough to keep me from being lonely. I owe her a lot, and love her very much. She has become more than my best friend

*snort* Think about it. I have rare pets that cost a ton. I've spent all my money on them! I have none to spare. I also don't donate when people rattle collection tins in my face, so don't try it. All I can say to make money is play games, do Snowfaerie Quests and buy scratchcards. That's what I do! If you like to draw try entering the art gallery to get rare items.

NEVER EVER EVER!! Haven't you heard that it's ILLEGAL to enter something you didn't draw! Do it and you WILL be FROZEN! *grrrrs*

What art program do you use?
I use Paint Shop Pro 7. *hearts it* I usually draw my pictures by hand, scan them, line them in Paint and then color them in Paint Shop Pro.

Will you teach me HTML??
*trips* Eh. You don't want me to do that. I'm really just learning a lot of HTML myself right now. Try the Neopets tutorial or Annabella's HTML guide.

XD No, not really. As long as you don't bug me for donations or ask questions in my FAQs, I can actually be quite pleasant.

Bruire-Specific Questions

How did you get a Royal Aisha!?
I saved for forever and bought a Royal PB from the Hidden Tower. No, you cannot have him.

Can my pet date/ be friends with Bruire??
Bruire's not really the boyfriend type. And anyways I'm not going to just assign a girlfriend to him. If you you're your pet to get to know Bruire, maybe we can roleplay, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they will end up friends or anything.

Do you speak French?
I'm afraid not ^^; I'm a poser. I can only speak English and some Spanish. I use a translator and tutorial for the French on Bruire's page. I'm starting to learn as I work though :)

Can I draw a picture for Bruire?
