The Bookworm Guide

This is Booklovers_Welcomer's Homepage

Hi, I'm Booklovers_Welcomer but most people just call me "Wellie". I am so lucky to welcome new members to the Guild of Booklovers!

I help my owner with our duties as Master Welcomer. We get to greet all the newcomers to our guild. We have a lot of new members, so it keeps me very busy.

If you're looking for a guild that's full of friendly, warm, helpful people, then you really should check out my guild! If you join then I'll get to welcome you, too! Visit us by clicking on our banner below.

Congratulations on joining the best guild in Neopia!

Now that you're here, you're probably wondering what to do.

First, visit our main website by copy and pasting to the following address and "add to favourites" (CTRL-D)...

http://www.guildofbooklovers.com/

Then, follow the 7 steps below. :)

Step 1: Read the entire FAQ.
The link can be found on the guild's home page or by visiting HenryTheWises petpage.
While individuals in our guild are ever so friendly and helpful, it can be very frustrating answering the same questions several times over. This is why we created the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions), which contains answers to questions that get asked A LOT!

Step 2: Read the Guild Posting Rules
These can also be found on the guild's home page or by visiting Brother_Benedicts petpage.
This list covers everything you need to know about posting on the guild's message board and the consequences for breaking the rules.

Step 3: Do I need a Mentor?
If you are new to Neopets as well as this guild, you might be feeling lost and alone. The Guild of Booklovers has a Mentoring Program. If you'd like someone to show you around Neopets/guild, to be a friend, to answer all your questions on a one-on-one basis, or to show you little tricks to get free/cheap stuff, then neomail booklovers_academy to request a mentor.

Step 4: Introduce yourself.
After you have read the rules for posting on the board (see step 2 above), pop over to the Message Boards and post a message introducing yourself. You'll get credit for one post, and give the rest of the guild members a chance to show how friendly they are!

Step 5: Neomail Settings.
Make sure that you have your neomail set to allow non-neofriends to neomail you. This is especially useful when Guild staff (anyone from council down to shop workers) need to get in touch with you for whatever reason - maybe you were selected for a special award or we need to get in touch with you to fix a situation... or even just to make new friends in the guild! Didn't I mention we were a friendly bunch? :D

Step 6: Post your birthday on the calendar.
You can find the link on the Guild Home Page (located to the left under options on the message board).
By entering your birthday in the Guild Calendar, you will receive a warm birthday greeting on your special day.

Step 7: Get to know the guild, make some friends, and learn how things work.
Take your time - enjoy the ride! It may seem like there's not much to do at first, but keeping up with the message board can be a great way to find some fellow members that you share interests with and to learn about the latest happenings. We have some ongoing and special activities that our members are welcome to enter; visit the website to learn about them. And there is enough information on the guild website to keep you reading for quite a while! Visit all the Guild Shops and read their rules. These shops are set up to help you. Each shop has its own rules. You can visit the shop by clicking on the items on the Bookshelf on the Guild of Booklovers Home Page. While you must be an Apprentice to request from the shops, you can still use this time to learn what is available and make friends with the shopkeepers.
For information about promotions, stop by Madame_Baguettes pet page.
