Faerie Caves II: Fyora's Quest Walkthrough (In Progress)
Just a couple notes:
- [edit] Images are back! Thanks to fetofs for telling me about http://www.imageshack.us.[/edit] The images are taking up a lot of bandwidth. If you need this page as reference, please try to just visit it once and leave the window open instead of coming back multiple times. The walkthroughs still make sense without the images, but it works better with the images.

I wrote this because I like helping people with the levels, but I got annoyed of seeing the same questions asked over and over again. It got annoying to type the same things over and over again. So if you see me on the message boards, I'll probably direct you here so that I don't have to retype it. Sometimes if someone asks for a walkthrough, I'll respond with a simple "Nope" because it's in my board signature and I don't like getting the tons of neomails from people who don't read. To anyone who may be upset that I posted the solution, I only posted it after I had seen people help others on the message board (so the solution was already "released"), and after the trophy spots were filled with scores of 1520.

Please don't use these walkthroughs until you've tried it many many times and are about to bash your head through the wall if you die on that level one more time. Walkthroughs take the fun out of everything. Plus, Fyora's Quest is much easier than the original Faerie Caves. If you think everything through just a little bit and just take it one step at a time, I'm sure you'll get it. Even I could figure this all out. If I can get it, you can get it.

*Note: It is assumed that you know the basics. You know, be one space apart from dynamite when it's about to explode, how to walk from one place to another, move quickly past spike traps, etc.
*Note: I only provide one of the solutions that works. There might be more than one, but I didn't bother writing more than one. This will get you a score of 1520 which is good enough.
*Note: Please only neomail me for further clarification of levels five and above. Everything else is either answered on this page, or you do not have a basic understanding of the game. Or reread the directions. Also, do not neomail me telling me that my solution is wrong. I've had a countless number of people confirm every level. Some of them might need some clarification, but they work.

Hint for all levels (Don't read the walkthrough! I'm telling you, it's more fun without it): Look at what you need to do to get the purple key and get to the door. Look at the arrangement of everything to try and figure out what you need to do. Just give it a little thought and a couple of tries. I'm sure you'll get it in no time.

Hint for beginners: When you move, especially through spike traps, tap the key quickly instead of holding it down.

And just in case anyone's wondering, it takes about 8 minutes from start to finish (well it does for me on my slow computer) if you know what you're doing.



The numbers are not necessarily indicative of the order of steps. For the most part, it is. But for some levels, you need to backtrack. The numbers are there for reference purposes. If the images fail to load, the directions should still be sufficient for you to complete the level.


Level 1: Easy Does It

First move all the way to the right, until you hit the treasure chest (1). Get the key at the bottom, then go up to the boulder in the top right corner. Push it from the left so it rolls onto the pad (2). Then grab the torch and the purple key. Keep going around and grab the second torch (4). Then get the four gems, making sure you get them before the green dynamite explodes (5). Blow up the red dynamite so you can get to the other key (6). Get the two gems (7) and the treasure chests (8), then exit (9).
Points: 75




Level 2: Fire in the Hole

Go left and grab the key (1). Then grab that gem towards your right (2). Go up and right, but don't push the boulder onto the pad yet. Grab the torch and purple key (3), and then you can push the boulder on (4). Head down and go around the balloon (5). Light up the dynamite in the bottom corner of the screen (6). Grab the key and torch (7), then come back to light up the other dynamite so you can grab the six gems (8). Go back and grab the keys and treasure chests (9). Keep going around the border and go through the exit (10).
Points: 100




Level 3: Welcome to the Jungle

If you're having problems with spikes, scroll back up the page a bit and read the stuff in bold.

First go all the way down, then left almost all the way. You're going to get the key and torch first (1). After you get those two, head towards the bottom right of the screen. Go through the upper of two spikes (2), get the key, then light up the dynamite (but move up a space so you won't get blown up too). Then go to the top right and push the balloon so it will rise onto the pad (3). Grab the treasure chest (3). Go down and grab the torch, key, and the gems (4). Then head up and left, and light the green dynamite (5). Grab the gem (6) and go down to get the purple key and treasure chest (7). Head towards the exit and grab the treasure chest (8) on the way out (9).
Points: 70




Level 4: Spiky Mines

Go right and up (1). Then go down, right, (head over the spikes quickly) right, up. Repeat this three more times until you're standing to the immediate left of the last boulder (2). Push it to the right. Head right, then go down as far as you can (3). Head back up and push the boulder from the left (watch out for spikes!) so it goes down the path you just cleared.

Now for the fun balloons. It's pretty straightforward and in a nice pattern, but be careful. Let the first balloon rise up (4). Grab the gem. From here on watch for the spikes. Go up and left. Go left then right so the balloon is no longer blocking your path. Now go down and left. Go left again, then up and left. Go left then right so the ballon is no longer blocking your path. Now go down and left. Grab the gem, and the key towards the upper left (5).

Now head down to the path with the open gate and grab the torch (6). Light the green dynamite. Go down and grab the treasure chest (7). Grab the gem (8). Then grab the purple key (9). Then go down and grab the torch (10). Making sure you avoid the green dynamite on the way back, head towards the red dynamite (11). Exit (12).
Points: 80




Level 5: Water Prison

Grab the two gems (1, 2), but do not grab the purple key yet. Go down and then left (3). Make your way up to the boulder in the middle and let it fall on the pad (4). Go down and grab the key (5), and get the treasure chest (6). Then grab the faerie key (7) and go right. Go through the exit (8).
Points: 45




Level 6: Crazy Clouds

Grab the gem on the bottom left (1). Then grab the gem on the bottom right (2). Then grab the gem on the top right (3). Next, grab the keys (4) without letting the balloons or boulders cover the pads. Then go back down and grab the three treasure chests and torch (5). Clear the blocks underneath the boulder and let it fall onto the pad (6). Then push the boulder off the pad. Go through the two spike traps, grab the purple key (7). Set off the dynamite and take a step back. Go through the exit (8).
Points: 70




Level 7: Kaboom

Grab the torch (1). Light up the dynamite to your right (2). Grab the gem, purple key, and torch (3). Then go back to your starting place and light up the dynamite that was originally above you (4). Grab the gem and torch, then light up the dynamite that's above you (5). Grab the gem and torch, then light up the other green dynamite (6). Grab the gem that has now been freed up. Grab the torch (7). Go down and right, and light up this dynamite sitting above a torch and spike trap (8). Grab the two gems (9). Head towards the door and grab the other two gems (10) on the way out (11).
Points: 65

Note: There is still one remaining gem in this level that you can't reach. Apparently, in the Neopets Magazine, it was stated that you cannot get this last gem.




Level 8: Evil Caves

Head down first, grab the torch, and set off the dynamite (1). Then go all the way left (2), all the way up (11), all the way right, and grab those three gems (3). Grab the key (4). Then go back to the bottom left corner of the screen (2). Grab the gem (5) and head past the two spike traps to grab the torch. Push the balloon out of your way (6). Go around and light up the other green dynamite (7). Grab the key. Now push the boulder from the left (8) so that it falls onto the pad, but while you do this you must go past the gate on the left before the boulder hits the pad. Grab the gem (9), the two treasure chests, and the purple key (10). Exit (11).
Points: 70




Level 9: Boulder Hill

Go to the bottom left corner and grab that gem (1). Then from there, go straight up and grab the torch (2). Go right to escape the falling boulders. Grab the key. Now light up the dynamite at the top of the screen next to the door (3). Be careful not to light up the green dynamite on top of the boulder pile. Grab the eight gems. Then head to the right side of the screen. Grab the torch (4), go left to escape falling boulders, grab the key. Push the boulder between the red and green dynamite aside and light up the red and green dynamite at the same time (5). Grab the purple key. Grab the two treasure chests (6) and exit (7).

Level 10: One Way Streets

Go right, head down past the spike trap (1) and grab the key (2). Then go back to the right, head down more, and grab the torch (3). Keep going to the left and nab the gem (4). Grab the other accessible gem on your way up to the top of the screen. Then head right. Set off the dynamite (5). Go down and around the boulder to grab the key (6). Then go back and push the boulder onto the pad (7). Go down and left, grab the gem then the treasure chest and purple key (8). Head up to the second path from the top. Push the boulder off the pad. Go around it so that you can get to the exit (9).
Points: 60




Level 11: Diamond Islands

Wait for the balloon to rise up first. Once the gates are open, head to the right. Grab the torch and light up the red dynamite (1). Head down. Push the two boulders off of the gems and then grab the gems (2). (Note: You push the boulders. Don't grab the gems and let them fall.) Then go up to the top left corner and clear out that space. Push the balloon from the right into the top left corner (3). Go right (the gate will open once you start to move right) and grab the key (4). Then go down and grab the key on top of the leftmost balloon (5). Let it rise and then push it from the left off of the pad. Grab the gem on top of the next balloon. After it rises push it off the pad from either direction. Then grab the last key on top of the other balloon. After it rises push it off of the pad from either direction. Then grab the three treasure chests and purple key (6). Head to the exit (7).
Points: 70




Level 12: Heaven or Hell?

Go down and grab the torch first (1). Then go around to grab the key at the top (2). Light up the red dynamite (3). Grab the treasure chest, then grab the key (5). Head towards the right and up a little so that you're underneath the rightmost spike trap. Go up and grab the two gems and the torch (4). Then leave through the three spike traps on the left. Now go down to the balloons. Free the rightmost balloon (third from the left since you already freed the one that's fourth from the left) (5). Grab the treasure chest and purple key (6). Now set off the green dynamite (7) and head to the exit (8).
Points: 55




Level 13: One Way Out

First go down and grab the gem on the bottom left (1). Then go up so that you're underneath a non-solid rainbow tile that supports a boulder. Go up (2), and then right to escape the falling boulder. After the boulder has fallen, go up so that you're standing on the pad (3). Go up to let the two boulders fall, and then go right to escape them. After they fall, go left. Go down one space and head towards the right, going through the non-solid tiles (8). Go up from the green dynamite to grab the gem (4). Grab the torch (5) and light up the green dynamite and move out of the way (watch out for that balloon!). Push the balloon out of your way from either direction. Now grab the key (6). Go to the bottom and grab all those gems (7). Then go back to the boulders from the beginning (8). Push the two at the top from the right towards the left, so that the pad is covered again. You'll have to push the bottom one first. Grab the treasure chest, level key (9), and gem (10). Now go grab a torch and set off the green dynamite (11). Exit (12).

Level 14: Cause and Effect

Push the boulder onto the pad (1). Go up and grab the torch (2). Light the dynamite (3) and move up above the gate before it blows up. Go up and push the balloon onto the pad (4). Go all the way to the left and down a little bit (5). Don't grab the torch yet! Go onto the pad, then go down to free the balloon and then right. Now grab the torch. Use it to light up the dynamite in the top right corner of the screen (6). Grab the freed torch and use it to light up the other green dynamite (7). Go down and grab the gem. The push the boulder to the right (8). Go around and grab the gem. Then grab the torch (go past the open gates, not the spike traps) (9) and use it to light up the dynamite (10) next to the gem you just got. Use the spike traps to go across and head to the bottom right corner. Go up and push the boulder onto the pad (11). Then grab the purple key, gem, and torch (12). Light up the green dynamite next to the boulder (13). Exit (14).

Level 15: Never Trust a Stranger!

First push the boulder out of the way (1). You'll have to push it twice. Then push the boulder on the left onto the pad. Go around past the spike traps to grab the torch (2). Use it to light the green dynamite (3). When you escape the blast, make sure you go right and down (4). Push the boulder out of the way to grab the gem and key (5). Then go up and right past the open gate and spike trap so that you're next to the boulder sitting on top of a torch. Go down and grab the torch at the bottom of the screen (6). Use it to light the green dynamite next to it. Then go up and grab the torch under the boulder (7). Move out of the way so the boulder falls. Now go and set off the red dynamite (8). Grab the gem. Then go to the bottom and head left towards the purple key. Grab the torch (9) and then light the green dynamite. Then grab the purple key. Head right, grabbing the treasure chest along the way and go to the next part of the level.

Avoid the torches on your way up and grab the key at the top (10). Then grab a torch (11) and light the red dynamite (12), grabbing the treasure chest along the way. Make sure you get out of the way before the balloon rises. Then grab the other torch and light up the green dynamite (13). Exit (14).

Level 16: Sneaky Gates

Go right and grab the gem. Go down a couple steps then left to grab the key. Grab the gem between the two dynamites (1). Then go left to grab the gem and torch (2). Use the torch to light up the green dynamite (3). Grab the treasure chest. Then go down and towards the right to grab the gem (4). Go up a bit and grab the gem. Go up a bit more and grab another gem (5). Then go to the top right to grab the gem and torch (6).

Go back down past the open gate and light the red dynamite (7). Then grab the gem and quickly move up and right two spaces. You have to do this very quickly! Go up a little and left a little, then head towards the green dynamite at the bottom. Grab the gem and torch, then light the green dynamite (8). Grab the purple key (9). Then go up a bit and grab the torch next to the spike trap (10). (You can completely ignore the torch on top of the balloon.) Use it to light the red dynamite at the top of the screen that's blocking a key (11). Grab the key. Go back and grab the treasure chest (12) next to the torch. Then head to the right and grab the closest torch (13). Use it to light up the red dynamite. Grab the key. Now grab the other torch and the gem (14). You can grab the key and treasure chest through the open gate (15). On the way to the exit grab the treasure chest and gem (16).

Level 17: Many Hoards

Grab the key and treasure chest. Then grab the gem and make the boulder fall (1). Head towards the right, nabbing four gems along the way. Grab the other gem next to the snowball (2). Go up and head towards the right. There's a gem you can grab on the way if you go down a bit. Then go to the right side of the screen. Head downwards, grabbing the gems, keys, and treasure chests along the way (2, 3, 4). Just make sure you don't make any boulders fall. Head left/down a little bit so that you're on top of the two boulders. Go left and grab the treasure chest (5). Then go back to the path on the right end of the screen and keep heading down (6). Go left and nab the two gems (7). Keep going towards the left. Grab all the gems, keys, and treasure chests that you see in that area (8, 9). To get the gem underneath the boulder (10), head up from underneath through the open gate. Step left to grab the gem, then go back down through the open gate. Exit (11).

Level 18: Missing In Action

Do not grab the torch right next to you, not yet. Grab the torch next to the treasure chest (1). Light one of the dynamite (2) in the group on the bottom, but not the one sitting underneath the boulder! Then go up. Go to the right and grab the torch (3). Light up a green dynamite, then quickly grab the key and escape the blast in the bottom right corner of that top section (4). You have to be quick. Go down and grab the purple key (5). Then grab the torch (6) and light the dynamite sitting underneath the boulders (7). Grab the treasure chest on your way out (8).

Level 19: Fyora's Quest

This level is a little different. Kind of reminiscent of Faerie Caves I. Even with these directions, don't waste any space. Okay, on with the walkthrough.

Go down and grab the key. Then go two spaces right. Go downwards and then left. Grab the key. Go up through the spike traps and quickly go right to grab the torch. Go up until you're one space above the boulder (up five spaces). Push the boulder from the right. Follow the boulder down that path and come out through the non-solid block. Now go up and right, but leave enough space for yourself to move left (up two spaces, right three spaces, up two spaces). Light the green dynamite and move to the left. Go through the non-solid blocks and grab the gem. Go through the open gate and make an immediate left. Go up to grab the treasure chest. Go right to grab the purple key and the treasure chest. Keep going right until you push the boulder off. Grab the torch. Go down a couple spaces and grab the key. Grab the gems to the left of it. Go down and grab the treasure chest. Go left and set off the dynamite next to the boulder, making sure you leave enough space on your right so that you can escape the blast. Set it off from the right, not the bottom. Escape the blast by standing next to the gate. When the gate opens, go through it. Grab the gem. Then go up to grab the key and treasure chest. Then go down to grab the gem. Exit.
